The chalet is a warm and comfy place to relax, cool off, hike/bike a trail or two, enjoy long-range views(elevation is 3,383 feet - Mt Mitchell is 6,683), listen to some good music, sip your favorite drink, and rejuvenate your soul. Roaring Fork Chalet has paved roads that are all well-maintained. The mountain roads are curvy, and the subdivision is steep in parts. No four-wheel drive is needed to get to the chalet except in the winter months. Dog accepted with/ prior approval (fee applies).

Our home is located in the Mount Mitchell Golf Community about an hour from Asheville. Unfortunately, this once highly rated public golf course has suffered greatly from storms and is not playable. However, hiking and sightseeing are the best! We're 2 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway, and situated among the Pisgah National Forest where waterfalls and trails are accessible.
