Rural Dorset Retreat

SandraRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Couldn't begin to do justice here with how stunning the house and location are. The accessible bedroom and bathroom are the best we've ever had for my husband's complex needs (he has MND and is in a wheelchair). Victoria is very kind and responsive, a superb host. We were left a really great welcome pack, too! Would love to return.

Rural idyllic bolthole for 2

NedRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We had a really enjoyable week in Kaz and David’s comfortable and well equipped garden studio apartment. The space is comfortable, compact, modern and well designed with everything we needed. We appreciated that Kaz had left us a welcoming card, fresh milk and tea and a cake on arrival and soon felt at home. We were particularly lucky with warm sunny days and it was lovely to have breakfast outside on the patio listening to the singing of the birds and the sing-song flow of the brook - the River Cerne - at the bottom of the garden. Charminster is less than half an hour from the south coast with fine beaches and coastal walks. We also loved the nearby village of Cerne Abbas, home of the chalk hill Giant, a peaceful and beautiful abbey and well, and walks in the valley of the River Piddle. Littlebarn was very comfortable to return to in the evenings, with its well equipped kitchen, a reasonable internet connection and television and a comfortable bed.

Tincleton Lodge and Rose Cottage (sleep 16)

JaneRating, 5 stars2 months ago
The two cottages together worked so well for the different generations. The bedrooms were gorgeous and plenty of storage space for clothes etc. The kitchen was very well equipped with more than enough crockery. The surroundings were beautiful and peaceful with lovely walks on the doorstep. We didn’t need to use the log burners in the lounge areas as the weather was great for us. Plenty of logs available for us too! Jane was very quick to respond to any questions that needed answering. She was so near to be able to come to the cottage if needed, which was great. The teenagers loved the tennis courts and the ping pong table which occupied them during the day. Thanks so much for a lovely stay.

The Loft at Ponderosa

BryonyRating, 5 stars9 months ago
We have just spent 3 nights at Ponderosa and we cannot rate it highly enough. To start with, the host Melanie, messaged with very thorough directions & then was on site to greet us on our arrival. We were shown around The Loft, how to work things & where things were, & Melanie was lovely! In terms of the apartment - it's gorgeous! The bathroom has a stand alone bath and a separate waterfall shower (with excellent water pressure) & it's spacious with lovely fluffy towels! The bedroom is beautiful, the bed comfy & it looked so inviting on our arrival. The main body of the apartment has lovely big windows which we threw open every morning, very comfy sofas and a smart TV to sign in to Netflix etc (just remember to log back out!) I liked the quirky kitchen and dining area, we had lovely cooked breakfasts sat down at the table with the sun pouring through the open windows & could hear nothing but quiet - bliss! But best of all - the famous lemon drizzle cake - it was delicious! TY x
