If you are thinking of staying here, do it! This is an amazing home and somehow even better in person. It’s very close to the train station (we walked it with a baby and luggage and had no issue. No steep incline and mostly paved). Jacuzzi spa, sauna and laundry in the basement. Tucked away on a quiet street but right in the middle of town (next to the oldest hotel in zermatt). Marc was extremely helpful, accommodating and friendly. This spot is more of a 5 star hotel with the extra space and private amenities. We would come back in a heartbeat. Beyond impressed. There’s a reason why the reviews are all glowing.

9.5/10 Review for Max Chalet Gimmelwald Max Chalet was perfect for our family of three—a fantastic base for a mountain getaway! Surroundings: Gimmelwald is stunning, with hiking right outside the door. We loved the Northface Trail and the easy gondola access to Mürren, Schilthorn, and the valley. Parking at Stechelberg was only $10/day. Entertainment: Hiking was our main activity—beautiful trails and mountain huts. Pension Gimmelwald and Mountain Hostel next door offer meals, drinks, and great pizza (8.5/10). Food: Dining options nearby, more in Mürren, and a grocery store for essentials to cook at Max. The House: Spacious, cozy, clean, with big windows framing epic views. Well-equipped kitchen, laundry room, and a great patio. Quiet at night (bring a fan for white noise). Floors creak but didn’t bother us. Host: Marianne was super responsive and helpful. Summary: We’d absolutely stay again—9.5/10! (We’ve never given a 10, so this is top marks from us!)

I can’t say enough nice things about Eric’s home! It is so close to the train station you can walk to / from with large luggage. The view is stunning, the house is pristine, and he has thought of absolutely everything and more than a guest would need. Everything is labeled and organized and I was impressed. He was so great to deal with and incredibly generous with his things (binoculars, chargers, phone, etc) I would say this is by far the best Airbnb I’ve ever stayed at.

5 Sterne - nix zu bemängeln. Tolle Wohnung, sehr gut ausgestattet, mit schönem Blick. Akzeptable Distanz zum Skilift (~300m). Absolut empfehlenswert. Nette Gastgeberin. Jederzeit wieder.

We had an unforgettable stay at this beautiful home nestled at the bottom of the mountain in Lauterbrunnen. The views were absolutely breathtaking. Waking up each morning to waterfalls cascading down the cliffs and the sound of birds echoing through the valley felt like something out of a fairytale. The home itself was spotless and cozy. A Swiss charm! The kitchen was well-stocked, the beds were super comfortable. The location is ideal, peaceful and quiet, yet just a short walk from the train station and local shops. We loved hiking during the day and returning to this serene retreat in the evenings. Veronique was incredibly welcoming and responsive, offering great tips for exploring the area. We can’t recommend this place enough and would return in a heartbeat. If you’re looking for a magical escape in the heart of the Swiss Alps, this is it!

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Kurzaufenthalt in der Wohnung von Catherine und Jacques. Die Wohnung ist gemütlich und mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Die Aussicht auf unverbaute Bergflanken ist super, was sich am besten auf der Terrasse bzw. im Garten geniessen lässt. Sehr empfehlenswert!

We had such a lovely stay, the chalet was beautiful, beyond our expectations with a very well equipped kitchen and lovely furniture. The views were breathtaking and was very close to town, and the funicular to go skiing. We had the family together and we all thoroughly enjoyed our time. Overall a lovely holiday had by all.

We had an amazing stay! The chalet is even better than in the photos. It’s full of lovely details and has loads of space. Beds are great and the bedding is high quality. The view from the living room is like a painting. Jean is a great host and made us feel very welcome. All communication was top notch. The location was great for skiing but would be equally great in summer for hiking or just chilling out in a beautiful surroundings. I warmly recommend this place for anyone.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans le très beau châlet de Christian, le châlet est moderne et fonctionnel mais aussi agréable et chaleureux, le feu ouvert donne un plus pour les soirées d’après ski. Nous étions avec nos grands enfants, tout le monde a trouvé sa place et son bonheur dans le châlet , la cuisine permet la préparation de vrais repas de famille. Les remontées sont accessibles à pieds en 20 minutes. Christian est aimable et à l’écoute.

Wie auf den Bildern, perfekt ausgestattet und man fühlt sich direkt wie Zuhause. Wunderschöne Aussicht über Sion. Man brauch aber ein Auto. Sauna und Whirlpool waren ein Traum:) Komme auf jedenfall wieder.

Absolutely loved our stay here in the Swiss mountains. Could not ask for a more beautiful setting. While the road to the home is a touch narrow, the google maps directions took us directly there. I would recommend trying to get there in the daytime if possible, both for the views and the first time navigating the road. Once inside everything was pristine and perfectly decorated. The beds were comfortable and the space inviting with more than enough room for our family of 5 with older kids. Alexander was a kind and accommodating host with excellent communication and gave us some great recommendations on visiting Stockhorn (absolutely beautiful). If we are ever in the area again, we would not hesitate to stay with Alexander.

Wir haben eine wunderschöne Zeit verbracht in Melvin und Cristina's schönem Chalet. Das Haus macht es einfach sich schnell einzuleben und hat eine unglaubliche Aussicht auf den See und die Berge. Die Ausstattung mit Sauna und Jaccuzi haben wir sehr genossen und würden diese Unterkunft jederzeit weiter empfehlen.

The home itself was cozy, impeccably clean, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The host was absolutely exceptional, going above and beyond to make our trip unforgettable. From thoughtful touches like local tips and a warm welcome to accommodating our needs with such care, they truly elevated our experience. The highlight was the incredible boat ride they arranged on the lake—gliding across the turquoise waters surrounded by mountains was a memory we’ll cherish forever. Gabriella supported me in bringing my luggage to the room and let me use her kitchen with all of the cooking tools (spoons, ingredients, fruits, pots, cookers,...) The house and the room were decorated so beautifully and she really has a good taste! Every corner of the house and the garden in front of the room are very beautiful. There is a forest behind the house and a big blue lake in front of it. It's about a 10-minute walk to the nearest bus stop, and from there we can go to the Interlaken station. However, there was a disadvantage of the house that it was on the hill, so I had to bring two 20"-bags to go up the house T^T I nearly died of that =))) Generally speaking, I love the house and the experience I had here.

Séjour très agréable pour les adultes et encore plus, pour les enfants. L’espace autour du chalet est exceptionnel : calme ( au bout d’une impasse) , sécurisé, vert. Les enfants ont découvert plein de jeux ( trampoline, voitures à pédales par exemple) auxquels ils ne s’attendaient pas et en ont largement profité. Les meubles de jardin ont été spécialement apprécié par les adultes pour prendre l’apéro.

The stay in this fabulous chalet was just amazing. And we really enjoyed the relaxing sauna and fireplace evenings. The surrounding with the lake and the mountains is just stunning. The chalet itself is very well equipped with everything you need especially the kitchen. We totally recommend this chalet.

Très bon séjour dans un petit mazot savoyard, environnement très paisible et très beau avec une vue magnifique, de belles promenades à proximité. Tout le nécessaire pour 2 personnes, avec petit balcon et table dans le jardin. Nous recommandons !

Definitely a place to stay on a vacation to Switzerland. Great views and great surrounding towns! The hosts were very responsive and informative.

Très bel environnement, entre le lac et un vraiment beau massif. Le chalet dispose d'un beau terrain, vaste, très agréable par beau temps. Quant au chalet en lui même, pas de surprise par rapport à l'annonce, si ce n'est que la chambre avec les 2 lits simples ne dispose pas de porte pleine. Elle est séparée du couloir par des battants, l'encadrement étant trop étroit pour y installer une porte. Cela ne nous a pas gêné, mais nous a surpris.

Charmante Unterkunft an toller Lage. Alles Nötige vorhanden. Ideal zum entspannen und ausschalten. Die Region bietet viele Möglichkeiten für Ausflüge, Aktivitäten, Spazieren und Essen. Angenehmer Camping mit freundlichen Bewohnenden und hilfsbereitem Personal. Für uns als Familie mit zwei Kindern ideal! Auch die Nähe zum See haben wir in vollen Zügen genossen. Franziska war jederzeit erreichbar und unterstützend in allen Belangen. Top! Es war toll, vielen Dank.
