Waterfront holiday rentals in Haarlem

The apartment was absolutely wonderful, right on the canal with a nice view. Purmerend is a very nice little town with beautiful parks. If you are coming for Amsterdam it is a little inconvenient to get into the city, but still manageable. If you are coming for purmerend I couldn’t imagine a better place for the price. Sandra was very helpful and a great host as well.

Fantastic apartment, really clean and comfortable in a great neighbourhood: peaceful but walking distance to everything you could need. Loes and Fokke are wonderful hosts, warm and helpful- we had a brilliant few days exploring the city from the perfect base.

The flat is in a lovely 17th century house on the canal. It is a 15 minute walk from the station which is very convenient if you’re travelling around to other places as we did. Marjan is very nice and communicative.

Such an accessible spot! Karin was very friendly and gave us great recommendations of neighborhoods to explore! The Airbnb is so peaceful, couldn’t recommend more!

The accommodation perfectly matches the photos and description. The house is equipped with everything you need, especially the kitchen and coming by plane from Italy this was very much appreciated, we only had to buy food (the supermarket is a 5-minute walk away). The area is quiet, full of greenery, and the parking is free and right outside the house. Chris was very kind and always responded quickly, giving us useful information. Check-in was quick and there was a lot of flexibility on the schedule, even for check-out. Nieuw Vennep is an excellent starting point for many cities and towns, if you rent a car.

Eva’s place was perfect for a central base and had everything needed - great having a washing machine also. Location was great - easy walk to town for eating and also 15mins walk to the station. Eva herself was amazing and helped me out quickly when I locked myself out.

We had a lovely few days at Yvonne’s place, enjoying the beautiful and peaceful countryside from their really excellent apartment. The place was exceptionally clean, comfortable, quiet and fully equipped - perfect for our needs and with the benefit of a lovely outdoor space to enjoy hot days and warm evenings. We would certainly return. Yvonne and Rob were outstanding hosts - friendly, helpful and generous - and we are happy to recommend both them and their apartment.

We were traveling by bike and used Ben and Inge's accommodation for 3 nights. On the one hand, the proximity of Amsterdam (with a bus stop nearby and the train from Weesp... totally easy!) and the really beautiful small towns of Weesp, Muiden and Naarden. Inge brought us an incredibly great breakfast every morning on request. She is a great, very friendly hostess. Thank you very much for this great start to the day. We felt totally comfortable with Ben and Inge and appreciated their hospitality very much. The small independent apartment is very quiet, very clean and cozy (as in the photos). Actually a real insider tip, ....psst,but don't tell anyone :-) Thank you, Inge and Ben for the great time! Thomas & Astrid

We had great days at Richard's house! The location is excellent, nice and quiet and with the lake of course great for refreshing. We rented the boat and also spent a nice time on the water and the larger lake. The house has everything you need, air-conditioned rooms were perfect on the hot days. Sitting together on the terrace by the lake in the evening, great! You can't go wrong with the house and would book it again and again.

Inge is a pleasant person and ready to help (offer to do laundry). Some sweets were waiting for us when we arrived. The accommodation is pleasant and good location. Recommended.

We had a great stay at Michelle’s. She is a very friendly host and answers questions quickly. The place is exactly as described and shown on the pictures. The surroundings are quiet and beautiful, and the commute to the city is easy.

A sweet little house with panoramic views of the garden in a quiet location in an idyllic place. I found the location perfect...short walk to the bus stop, very good bus connections to Amsterdam and the surrounding area and yet quiet and relaxing after a busy day in Amsterdam. We felt very comfortable...

We booked the house because it appealed to us from the reviews. Our expectations were far exceeded. We arrived at a house where we immediately felt at home. In the kitchen there is everything you need for daily use. Everything is very clean and tastefully decorated. Communication with Saskia was possible without any problems. We rented the house with a friendly couple and went home after a week very well recovered. We can recommend the house without hesitation. We would like to come back next autumn. The most perfect little house in Maarssen! Located about 20 minutes via bus/train from Utrecht and 30 minutes from Amsterdam, this gorgeous abode was a piece of heaven after a day of exploring! Upon arrival I was greeted by a few friendly chickens wandering the property and Ewoud, who made me feel right at home with not only great recommendations for Maarssen but helpful incite for bus information/apps and bike rentals. The house itself is so picture perfect cute! Comfy beds, relaxing bathtub, washer/dryer and a lovely outdoor space fitted with patio furniture. Keep in mind the stairs inside are rather steep and spiraling - but I found that it only added to its charm and felt like the bougie treehouse of my childhood dreams (lol). Got a chance to chat with Catelijne and Ewoud a bit on the eve of my departure and they are such wonderful hosts - would 100% recommend and would love to return!

This apartment was amazing for our quick trip to Amsterdam. The location is perfect—right on one of the main canals and walkable to everything. Helena was such a gracious host and gave us some great recs for vintage shopping, drinks, and eats. The space was well appointed and she was so flexible with our arrival and departure times. I would 100% recommend this place and would stay here again on a future visit.

We stayed in the Klaver Garage for 7 days in June 2025 and we liked it very much. Everything was furnished with a lot of love and we felt very comfortable. Sanny and Dennis answered questions immediately. I can recommend Klaver Garage with a clear conscience. Best regards, Matthias and Christiane

My family of four stayed at Max’s place for four nights. The location is great, with just about an hour’s drive to many popular destinations in Holland. The view of the lake from the balcony was beautiful. The apartment was clean and spacious. We truly enjoyed our stay in this quiet and peaceful neighborhood, and we will recommend it to our friends and family if they visit Holland in the future.

It’s a nice place. Great location, but also quiet. Comfy bed and full kitchen. Communication before our trip was perfect. No questions answered.

We had a great stay! Hugo was easy to contact, gave us many local recommendations, and easy to follow directions. The place was clean, had a great view, and is on a quiet street. Location was great, very walkable to all of the main tourist attractions. We were worried about not having a tv but didn’t miss it. Just a heads up to people in the U.S.-bring wash cloths to Europe. All 3 of the Airbnb’s that we stayed at did not provide them. I read that they consider it a personal item, like a toothbrush, and expect you to bring your own. Thank you Hugo!

This place was wonderful! It was just as described. We enjoyed listening to the birds (wild parakeets and others) as we sat on the balcony in the mornings. The stairs are steep and narrow but that is just part of being in Amsterdam. One thing to note, there are 2 showers, 2 sinks, but only 1 toilet. It didn’t cause any problem for me, but those staying in the first floor bedroom will have to climb up stairs in the middle of the night. Overall, I highly recommend!

We enjoyed staying at Fleur’s apartment. It is very close to a tram stop which made it easy to get around, and it was well situated between the main areas of the city, making it a good base to explore from. The apartment was nice - it had everything we needed for a couple days in the city. The only thing to note is that the stairs within the apartment (from living area to bedroom) are narrow and steep, but this seems quite typical of stairs in this area- the same was true of stairs in restaurants in the area. Overall we had a great stay and I would stay there again!

We really like the accommodation for its location in relation to the country's landmarks. The hosts always very friendly and super quick to respond to messages. Although the room is inside their house we never lacked privacy and we had everything we needed inside the room :)
