Carr Cottage is a characterful 19th century mill workers' dwelling situated in the heart of the Pennines in the beautiful Luddenden Valley with a multitude of walks and footpaths. Close to Halifax and its historic Piece Hall or Hebden Bridge with its vibrant arts and crafts scene. We are dog friendly with excellent walks for dogs and their people. Dogs must not be left unattended on the during your stay. Carr Cottage is cycle friendly with classic road or off road routes right rom the doorstep.

Our historic cottage is nestled on the side of the dramatic Shibden valley, famous as the home of Ann Lister, 'Gentleman Jack'. Situated on the cobbled Hough, our recently renovated, 18th century building boasts two en-suite bedrooms, a fully fitted kitchen/diner and a cosy , first floor lounge with panoramic views over Shibden Hall and estate. Bramble House Annex is a self-contained semi-detached two story house, in a beautiful countryside setting. Self catering accommodation, suitable for leisure, business or a romantic escape for two. We are dog friendly for a maximum of two dogs, in a perfect setting for walking and outdoor pursuits near by. The annex is on two levels, entrance, open plan kitchen, dinning and living room. Upstairs is open plan with a double bed with an en-suite shower room and a separate walk in wardrobe.

We offer a place of perfect tranquillity and that longed-for country escape just for two. Our lovely little outer house forms part of a grade 2 listed house set in the heart of the beautiful Yorkshire country side on the outskirts of Halifax. Newly renovated, the contemporary space is warm and welcoming with great walks, cycle routes and pubs right on the door step. Rest and relax after a day of exploring, with great routes to Hebden Bridge, Sowerby Bridge, Haworth and The Calder valley.

We converted the Old Piggery over 20 years ago, and have recently done a full refurbishment. It now has a cosy snug with a sofa as well as a lounge with far-reaching views. There is an ensuite bathroom and downstairs, a shower and toilet. The bedroom is on a mezzanine floor with a king-sized, chunky farmhouse bed with an extremely comfortable mattress. The lounge area has a Laura Ashley sofa and snuggle chair positioned to take in a far-reaching views or a 43 inch TV if you prefer!

This is a beautiful country cottage. The entire cottage is to rent with 3 double bedrooms. The bedrooms are sumptuous with top of the range bedding feather pillows and feather duvets. There’s one king sized bed . 1 Queen sized bed and 1 double bed. I renovated the place top to bottom a few years ago . Guests will have 2 bathrooms. If you like minimalist style this may not be for you, however if you love character, cosyness and a home away from home, welcome to my cottage!
