The kids LOVED all the sheep and cows in the fields and my friends were amazed by the beautiful surrounding views (having come up from East London!) Thanks so much. Will definitely look to book again for future visits of friends and/or family.

Travelling from Australia, this was a great safe spot to keep our motorcycles out of eyes view on the way to the Isle Of Man TT. House was beautiful, spotlessly clean. Appreciated the fresh milk, and bread for a quick breakfast in the morning. Was surprised that we could get an Uber and had a great meal at the Fleece Inn and only cost £6 each way. Would be a great place to stay for more nights

We have had a lovely stay at the boathouse which was just amazing! The boat house its self is beautiful, clean and comfortable with the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in! It is very well equipt, plenty of towels, blankets and even robes. We loved the hot tub with views over the lake. The location of the boathouse was just perfect for us and the views were stunning! We took our own paddle boards and was so happy to be able to launch straight from the jetty to explore the lake. My daughter also loved feeding the ducks from the jetty. We have had a busy few days on local bike trails, hikes, paddle boarding, boating and having some lovely meals out in beautiful Bowness, but always looked forward to returning to the boathouse! We will definitely be returning! Thank you

We’ve had a truly wonderful stay at Janet’s beautiful farmhouse. My wife, our dog and I felt warmly welcomed from the moment we arrived. Janet has been an absolutely lovely host – always kind, thoughtful, and ready to assist with anything we needed. She gave us excellent recommendations for local attractions and made herself available in case of any emergencies, which we deeply appreciated. The house itself is spotless – everything was impeccably clean, including the furniture and the bedding. The bed linen smelled fresh, and the duvet was of exceptional quality, making our nights very comfortable. The interior is modern and beautifully designed, offering a perfect balance between style and comfort. The bathroom had strong water pressure and lovely hot water, and the Wi-Fi connection was fast and reliable, which made our stay even more convenient. We are leaving today with hearts full of gratitude. Thank you, Janet, for making our holiday so special. We would not hesitate to return

We really enjoyed our time at Paula's cottage. The space was clean, peaceful and super comfortable with a great location. We'd absolutely recommend and would stay again!

The house was plenty big enough for 5 of us, an added bonus of having 2 bathrooms when there's a few of you. The kitchen was the best equipped kitchen we have ever stayed in, I cooked a Sunday roast there and it was lovely to have a dishwasher to take care of all the pots. Simba next doors dog was an added bonus for us he was there every morning ready for a walk in the orchard or field with us. We saw peacocks, hares and hedgehogs whilst staying here. Matthew was kind enough to show us all some hedgehogs they were rehabilitating and told us about future plans they had for the surrounding area. A very enjoyable stay for us all in the countryside

Perfect location. 10/10. I did not want to leave. Comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen, unbelievable views, superb location, easy access to logs for fire with which my husband was delighted. 100% would return... tomorrow if it was possible! Our dog (border terrier) had a fantastic time too and was very interested in the wee hedgehog who appeared to be living in the bushes outside and the free range chickens!! There was also a free range doggo popping round to the garden in the evening. Vigilance/ Lead/ supervision was a must for our super inquisitive pup.

Kim was friendly and helpful. Her communication was phenomenal and the house was amazing. It had everything we needed and is in a great location.

We stayed at Simon and Belinda's place for a week and it was exactly what we needed. Fantastic location for walks and food. The Wainwright's Inn is only 0.2 miles away. Great food and local ales on your doorstep. The cottage is cosy, the kitchen is well equipped and the information provided was very thorough and useful. There are some books in the house they have prepared to show various walks and local recommendations. We did some of these walks and our 5 year old enjoyed every second! We took advantage of the leisure facilities at The Langdale. This was a great addition to the cottage! Really recommend if you want a place near to town locations, walks and local pubs/cafés/restaurants.

Really enjoyed our stay, we were celebrating my Mother’s 90th birthday and had other family members staying in other lodges around the park. Beautiful scenery and great location. We’ll definitely be visiting again.

Beautiful caravan super spacious and clean. Fantastic location close to moorcombe bay. Lisa was extremely helpful from booking to checkout would defiantly recommend and stay again.

The lodge was in a beautiful location over looking the lake. It instantly felt so homely and was well equipped with everything you’d need and more; down to the paddle boards and life jackets Charlotte allows guests to use on their stay. Charlotte was a fantastic host and send me a lengthy email weeks before hand with useful information. great tips, places to visit and more. I would definitely love to return to the lodge again soon.

What a fabulous few days me and my boys had ..I’ve never seen them so relaxed (ages 35 and 37 )x I think it was the lovely energy we felt in the beautiful Nest xx looking out over the river each morning set us up for the day. Would recommend 100% , we had everything we needed ..I couldn’t fault it ..the bedrooms immaculate and the beds /bedding were soft clean and extremely comfortable. We enjoyed the gym and pool offer also x staff there were lovely at the Swan Hotel. Thank you xx

We had a wonderful 5 day stay! The caravan was perfect for our family of four (plus our dog) — cozy, spacious, and full of thoughtful touches that made us feel right at home. What really stood out was the incredible attention to detail, especially for our pup — treats, a towel, and even a blanket were waiting for her. It was so heartwarming and showed how much care went into everything. Our host was amazing — Sam sent us great recommendations in advance for places to eat and things to do, which made our trip so much easier and more enjoyable. The fresh flowers and duck food left for us were such a lovely surprise — it truly felt like a personal and welcoming experience. We’re so grateful and would absolutely love to come back. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a warm, pet-friendly getaway!

Peaceful and idyllic location, with lovely views. Comfortable and clean inside, with everything you could need included and lots of nice flourishes. So near to the Lakes (we visited Grange Over Sands and Cartmel). Rosemary is a truly wonderful host, with excellent communication throughout. Very highly recommended!

Had a fabulous time here for my husband's birthday. cottage was beautiful and exactly what we wanted. It was the little extras from Emma and Greg that made it super special. we'll definitely be back. I would definitely recommend - perfect xxx

Such a lovely place, had a nice girly weekend for my hen do with my bridesmaids and maid of honour and the hosts were really sweet. They were happy to co-ordinate with my maid of honour so the whole thing was a really nice surprise and it was overall really private and peaceful with such stunning views. Would highly recommend and think we will definitely be booking again 🤍

A lovely loft - perfect and just what we needed for our 2 day mini-break. The loft was much bigger than we anticipated so that was a lovely surprise. The little touches were great too - fresh towels, milk, butter, instructions for the hot tub, even some jigsaws for the rainy afternoon. Everything we needed. The outdoor space was so peaceful. Even though we were on the farm’s property, we felt right at home, comfortable and had the privacy we wanted. The neighbours were adorable - cows and their calves! The outdoor space was secure for our two dogs. Plenty of room for them to stretch their legs and play on the grass. Thanks for a great stay!

Me and my husband stayed here for our baby moon and it couldn’t be a better location. It was so peaceful and exactly what we needed. Laura was very attentive and friendly too, which helped. Hoping to return once our baby arrives for a slice of tranquility!

We had a lovely stay. It was my partner and I’s first trip away and we had our doggie too! Instructions were very clear and was able to find the lodge easily when using What3Words. The lodge was in impeccable condition and we were welcomed with some milk, butter, bread and doggie treats! Thank you so much! Gorgeous area that we’d like to return to one day! Highly recommend. The barn was absolutely lovely. Situated in a very private location. The surroundings are amazing and just as Mel described with each window literally like looking at a beautiful landscape picture. So peaceful. The perfect location to decompress. You have never heard silence like it ! The property and amenities themselves were perfectly as described. Very cleverly designed property with the split levels. Everything we needed and the absence of those we did not (No TV). Special mention for the bed and bedding. It was the most comfortable bed and pillows in any rental/ hotel we have experienced. The property has walks available right out of the door. But the one we chose had some steepish inclines and drops up to the top of the moor and absolutely gave our legs a work out. We knew we had done it ! The perfect weekend to decompress.
