Holiday rentals with outdoor seating in Harstine Island

A beautiful space. The hummingbirds were flitting amongst the bushes, while the crows were rearing their young in the giant trees. The hot tub lies beneath the vaulted cathedral ceiling of ancient douglas fir trees. The soaking experience is the literal meaning of a forest bath. The cool clear water of the sound was a welcome repite from the heat of the tub. Sitting in front of a bonfire we watched a purple Mt Rainier fade with the sunset as the full strawberry moon rose over the hills sucking the tide out beyond the view of the waning firelight. The night time low tide and its crisp slipping sounds beckoned the inviting cool smooth sheets; an endless king size bed of relaxing contentment.

Beautiful view! The home was very nice and comfortable, quiet neighborhood (there were some roosters but that didn't bother us, it wasn't too loud) Light switches were all labeled, main bed was comfortable. It might have been nice for blackout curtains in the main bedroom, but waking up to that view was amazing! Only one side of the couch reclined, which was fine for us. The hot tub was relaxing, note that the jets weren't very strong, but we still enjoyed it. It is about a 25 minute drive to get to some good restaurants. And you have to drive about 5 minutes to one of the State parks for beach access (there are a few that are really close by!) The place was exactly what we were looking for, a beautiful peaceful stay! We loved our stay and would stay again!

We found this to be the most beautiful pristine and private place. We’ve ever stayed at. We’re so very thankful for Jessica and everyone who went out of the way to make her stay the best ever. You will love the views the kayaks the canoes anduse the games. The fire pit and absolute must stay.

This was a very beautiful, out of the way house surrounded by a very quiet friendly community! Very nice weekend we got to enjoy out on a beautiful lake! Everyone was outside enjoying the weather and water and having a great time!

This was a perfect location for our weekend. Convenient to shops restaurants etc. Sue is a wonderful host, she gives clear info and is very responsive. The space has everything you may need and snacks too! Such a cute place! We will definitely stay again.

Ostrich Nest was a great getaway! Very peaceful and quiet. The house was well stocked with pretty much everything you would need (even a knife sharpener in the kitchen) which is great since you’re on an island. Would highly recommend this rental if you’re looking for a relaxing getaway on the water.

South sound is one of our favorite weekend destinations for relaxing at a waterfront cabin, but until now we had never stayed on the Key Peninsula. Caitlin's house was the perfect spot to do that--located right on the protected Filucy Bay with 3 kayaks available to launch right off the beach. Plus convenient to the two state parks and about a 15-minute drive back to Key Center for groceries. The house itself is fairly compact and perfect for a single family--two ensuite bedrooms, with the master being a loft with one of the best views for drinking coffee in bed you'll ever see). The kitchen and dining table also have an expansive view, so you won't miss out while cooking. But the real draw is the enormous patio space--I'm always itching to explore but on our second day we just spent the entire afternoon playing board games outside and enjoying the view.

This was truly one of the most relaxing weekends we’ve had in quite a long time. We met Sara & Jerry upon our arrival- they were very warm & made us feel comfortable right away. The apartment is perfect for a couple that wants to get away to a beautifully serene, relaxing, & quiet place. The apartment is comfortable & decorated very well. Sara keeps the grounds a gorgeous sanctuary for birds & bees. On a few occasions we even got to see the Bald Eagle couple that like to nest in one of the very tall trees of the property. It was so nice to wake up to a stunning view each morning & just enjoy the view. The stars are out at night so bright & if you ask, Jerry will leave you a little fire wood if you’d like to sit down by the little fire pit they have. Sara & Jerry are both kind, gracious, & hospitable people with a great love for the island & their community. Highly recommend!

Lovely relaxing renovated space. Lots of comfy places to sit and enjoy the view. Beds were cozy! Every extra thing you could possibly need there, lots of lovely touches. We came here with our toddler and older mother. We found parking in the back easily and felt safe to leave our cars. The stairs were a bit much for my mom who has a hard time with stairs in general. But she said it was worth it for the view. We had tons of stuff to bring in and out with the toddler we had a good work out loading the car. Over all beautiful space and would love to stay again!

Perfect place to recover after surgery. The variety of places to sit and relax was excellent. Really enjoyed the outdoor sitting areas. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook including good quality knives and cookware (much better than many other places I've stayed). Lots of thoughtful details like beach towels and chairs, outdoor blankets, binoculars to watch birds and boats, extra blankets and pillows. The host was responsive to a couple of special needs and we enjoyed the baked goods they provided. It is a bit of a drive to restaurants or grocery stores which was fine for us. It was perfect for rest and relaxation.

We always enjoy our stay with Jeanna and Carlie. The apartment is perfect for us. Close to family and amenities. We’ll be back.

Elizabeth’s place was spacious and comfortable. We liked that it was in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood surrounded by trees. The communication with the hosts was excellent. We highly recommend it.

We had a wonderful time staying at this property. Great location, either to stroll around downtown Tacoma or to hop on the expressway up to Seattle, down to Rainier, or out to Olympia. Very competitive pricing and very friendly host. Would definitely consider staying again!

great spot and location, a lot of outdoor seating to enjoy the late summer nights. There's a covered seating area that makes a nice combined indoor-outdoor space. Area was very quiet but also close to main strip and the water.

We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay while in town. The condo was exactly what we needed — clean, quiet, and incredibly relaxing after long days taking care of business. The view of the Puget Sound was absolutely stunning. We loved watching the boats go by — it really made the space feel like a peaceful retreat. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for comfort and great scenery in North Tacoma!
