I really enjoyed staying in the Garden Room. It had everything I needed in a compact space, quiet area with great access to Lewes and the South Downs, and Tim & Sue were friendly, communicative and accommodating hosts. Would stay again, and recommend!

NancyRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We really enjoyed our stay at Cuckoo Barn. Roz was very welcoming and the cottage was lovely and comfortable, very clean and had all the necessities we needed. The view and location were great with a lovely walk very close by. Especially liked the log burner and the very comfy bed. We hope to return and highly recommend.

Simply lovely South Downs Shepherd hut

JekabsRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
For people who like nature and hiking this is a jam! Easy to get there from London either going to Lewes (30 min walk) or Brighton (3-4h hike with great views). The sauna is the cherry on top after a long day out in the nature. Sian was very friendly and welcoming, and gave us plenty of suggestions. The hut is cozy with comfortable bed and good board game selection for late evenings. Local people are very friendly and it is lovely to walk to the nearby pubs along the hiking path. We highly recommend to visit The Abergaveny Arms, food is something else! Also Off the Wagon pop up pub is great. We will definitely come back.

The five bells inn and tiger inn were lovely for food! Walk to wye well worth it as well even though I took the long route!!! Deffo recommend and will return soon!

Rural Garden studio in area of natural beauty

BelindaRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
I have stayed with Elizabeth several times before and as always she is a welcoming host, any little problems and she is quick to deal with them. The property is quirky, with slopping roof, kitchen has a combination cooker and airfryer. Fresh eggs are supplied from the free range chickens and ducks. It is in the countryside and at places the roads are single carriage way with passing places, so no rally racing.

Cosy country hideaway - Elham Valley, Canterbury

ClaireRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We wanted a quiet and peaceful break away and this was exactly what we got ! Beautiful surroundings. We loved the quietness with just birdsong to listen to . A huge plus is that the whole gardens / grounds is completely, safely fenced in so our dog could roam to his absolute delight. I've never seen him so active especially around the two duck ponds. It really kept him busy. The bed was really comfortable and the space well set out . We were lucky that the main house was not booked while we were there so we had total privacy.

Daisy The Shepherds Hut

AmyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
I found Emma's place by accident when I was looking for somewhere for my husband and I to have a couple of days to reset and switch off. It was exactly what I didn't know I needed. The setting is beautiful, and even the rain sounded so peaceful from inside. It's a perfect little bolthole with everything you need and Emma gave us privacy but made sure to keep in touch to see if we needed anything. We took a lovely walk to Balfour winery for a fizzy pitstop before walking round into Marden for some local lunch and then back to the Hut. Exactly the change of scenery we needed. The little gifts of cookies and strawberries were lovely to discover after an evening arrival and the Hut really is decorated perfectly. Is there anything more peaceful than having a cup of tea in bed looking out onto a sea of Christmas trees, listening to the wildlife. We will definitely be back.

Hoppers' Hideaways - The Hoppers' Halt - Kent

CraigRating, 5 stars6 days ago
Our stay was lovely. A very friendly greeting upon arrival, communication was excellent. The place is exactly as shown, very clean and tidy and has everything you would need for your stay. It was very peaceful surrounded by nothing but countryside. There was plenty to do nearby and a visit to the winery a few minutes away is a must for the afternoon. The hot tub is a great addition and was very easy to use and warm up. Overall we had a great stay and would highly recommend. Thank you guys.

Delightful 1 bedroom lodge with hot tub

JustinaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Fuggles is nicely tucked away from the buzz of the city, but the area is still very easy to find, the lodge and surroundings private and quiet. The cabin was well equiped with everything we needed to cook and rest and we felt a warm welcome from the start with yumy gifts left for us and nice and clear instructions on how to use the hot tub, etc. Beautiful nature all around - we saw a bunny just outside the window and had the comfiest ever bird watching from the hot tub. Perfect weekend escape, recommended.

'What Knot' unique carriage house quiet/central

ClaireRating, 5 stars6 days ago
"What Knot" is absolutely unique, something you would find on George Clarke's "Amazing Spaces", and we loved it! Set in a beautiful and peaceful garden location, everything is thoughtfully packed in to a remarkable space that belies it's actual size. Everywhere was spotlessly clean, with all you need provided for - even bread/eggs/cereals for breakfast, plus a couple of G&Ts in the fridge to boot! Heather was a great host, and particularly easy to communicate with - she sent us perfect directions for how to get there, and clear instructions to check in and out. The location is also superb, being just yards away from Alfriston high street, which has well stocked shop, cafe, and pubs/restaurants with many eating options. Overall, a great stay in a great location, and we would definitely recommend if you found yourself in that part of the world!

Hazel Tree Cottage. A secluded country retreat.

JulieRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
This is a charming, secluded retreat that feels surprisingly remote given its accessibility from London. We were warmly welcomed by Claudia and her partner who were on hand for any issues (there weren’t any) but left us to our own devices. We appreciated the thoughtful breakfast goods they left for us, outdoor toys which our toddler loved and the cottage itself is very comfortable and stylishly fitted out. Very comfortable for our dog as well with a field to run in and securely fenced area that the cottage opened up to. Highly recommend!

Spacious luxury shepherds hut with woodburner

CarolRating, 5 starstoday
Suited us very well for the places we wanted to visit - Sissinghurst, Scotney, Bodiam and all the lovely villages in between. It was very hot whilst we were there so we flung the doors and windows open and sat outside most of the time which was lovely and private so we liked that. Great shower, well equipped for meal times - ideal for the two of us. Thanks for the scones, cream and jam .

Self Contained Garden Studio with stunning views

DavidRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
The studio is a well thought out comfortable accommodation. Although space is limited every convenience is provided. The views from the garden across the meadow, in the beautiful sunshine were very restful from the sun rising until some very spectacular sunsets at days end. Jules and Ian were most welcoming and helpful, and most importantly the bed was extremely comfortable. Thank you and if I visit Kent again I wouldn’t hesitate to rebook David Pritchard

The Apple Store

AnneRating, 5 stars6 days ago
A gorgeous little cottage nestled in the heart of the Kent countryside. We were welcomed with thoughtful touches, including fresh flowers, bread, milk, and cereals—such a lovely start to our stay. The cottage was spotlessly clean, incredibly comfortable, and tastefully furnished throughout. It's perfectly located for a visit to the Balfour Winery, just a 20-minute walk away, and also close to Marden village, where you'll find a couple of pubs, a café, and a bakery. Thank you for a truly wonderful stay!
