We loved Hygge By The Sea! It was a lovely one story home (one flight of stairs to access the house as is usual for the OBX) that fit our family perfectly. The house was spotless and so comfortable. We loved the laid back vibe and everyone felt right at home. Its location ocean front can't be beat.

This was our second year at Serene Retreat. It’s just such a wonderful place for young children to enjoy the beach. The fenced in yard is great for their outdoor play. We enjoy cooking in the fabulous kitchen and feasting at the table with a view. Better than any restaurant around! Thank you again.

We had a wonderful stay at Gia’s place. Place was exactly as described - very spacious home for our family of 10 to spread out. Ocean views from the second and 3rd floors. 5 minute walk to the beach - super convenient. Across the street from the Grocery Store - also very convenient. We didn’t have to use our vehicles at all. Would highly recommend, and would absolutely stay again!

We had a fantastic stay here! The home is beautifully decorated and modern, an easy walk to two public beach access points, and easily walkable to a few coffee shops, ice cream, etc. The updated bathrooms felt like a hotel, kitchen was large and well-stocked, and living room was a cozy spot for us all to hang out- perfect size for our family of 4 with two teenagers. We loved being able to bring our pup- most pet-friendly rentals are not this beautiful, so thank you! Finally, Nichole and Fady were super easy to work with and went above and beyond, offering quick suggestions for local services that were needed. We would definitely rent again when back in Nags Head!

WOW We absolutely loved our stay in this beautiful home. The place was so comfortable and well stacked plus so much more spacious than we anticipated. We loved having breakfast looking at the sound with magnificent views, our puppy enjoyed the huge yard and every night of our stay we walked around the canal looking at marine life in the water. The local restaurants Pop's had the best food and the location of the home was so convenient to either side of the Island. Loved Frisco Beach and the sound side where we saw a beautiful sunset. Highly recommend this home.

This was a wonderful place to go and relax. The house was clean and had plenty of space. The owners provided canoes which was amazing to go out and enjoy the breathtaking views from the water. We cooked, ate and enjoyed every minute of catching up with our friends and family at our stay. The beach access wasn't far from the house but we really enjoyed the house sound side of our stay. I would definitely go back and recommend.

My boys (13 and 15) and I had a great time. We kayaked and the boys went on a couple of trips on the paddle board. The walks to the beach were wonderful. It was the perfect mix of activity and relaxation. I loved the house it was so cute. We had an amazing time, it is exactly what we needed!

We had a great time (2 families of 4). The indoor pool was an awesome perk, the views were amazing from the top deck, and the yard was private.

This was a wonderful experience. We loved the well stocked kitchen and dog friendly house. No one complained, from adults down to teenagers :). Marsha and Steve gave some excellent recommendations for our first stay at Outer Banks. Teens/young adults loved the outdoor shower and mom loved the washer/dryer. The amount of outdoor furniture was impressive. Such a beautiful weekend! Beach is close enough to walk to and the chairs were very helpful. Thanks again!

Great private location very close to the beach, and perfect for kids to play outside and ride bikes around safely! The pool was definitely not in walking distance, but worth a quick drive as it wasn’t ever too busy and a very nice place. Kids loved the outdoor shower and adults loved the porch seating. Host very responsive and friendly!

We had a great stay at Toes in the Sand. It was even better than pictured. I was originally worried from the photos that maybe you couldn’t see the ocean from the main living floor, but you absolutely can see the ocean from nearly everywhere in the house. It’s lovely. Such a charming house, quiet, beautiful beach, and near enough to groceries, gas, and anything else you’d need. Also, had a great Oceanside dinner at Fish Heads <30 min north! Location of home was close and convenient to local grocery store and restaurants. Beach is within walking distance, but plan on carrying a light load or plan on renting a heavy-duty beach cart from a local rental place. The path to the beach from the house begins as a road which turns into a boardwalk with several steps up and down, once boardwalk has ended the trek through the dune is lengthy with soft sand partially up hill. A standard beach cart will not be your best interest; you will need one with large beach style tires. There are close ORV ramps if planning on driving a 4x4. Area attractions are a lengthy drive away; Avon is more laid back and less busy area. Overall, house is older as most properties are in Avon. For a simple laid back relaxing place to just chill and relax, this was a perfect fit. Host is very communitive and informative about the residence. Kitchen is fully stocked for all necessary meal planning needs. I would stay here again in the future.

I can't say enough positive things about Anthony or Diamond Shells. Beautiful beach front home. Do understand that, while the walk to the beach is very short, it is quite sloped - this is the case for every single beachfront home due to the topography. The house was absolutely perfect, and so was Anthony. Very responsive host and answered all questions very promptly and graciously.

Loved my stay !!! Beds were super comfy! And the house was super nice with a 10 min walk to the beach !

We had a great time at Sushma’s house. The kitchen was well stocked with spices and extras like dishwasher pods and trash bags. We also appreciated the availability of sand toys, boogie boards, beach umbrellas, pool floats and beach chairs. There were numerous decks to enjoy the sound side views. The house was spacious and very comfy. We split our time between the ocean, the pool, the sound side and even took the ferry to Ocracoke. Sushma was very responsive and a great host. We have rented from outer beaches realty in the past and this was a far superior experience.

The name speaks true! It really is a beautiful hidden gem in Avon. From its ideal location to everything, to all the amenities the host provide. This location has been the best I’ve had the pleasure of staying at. It made my boyfriend’s birthday weekend and our friends loved it! David & Misty are truly wonderful hosts. Thank you again! 😊

Our stay at Timothy’s place was excellent. The weather was terrible during our stay due to a tropical storm, but the beautiful house made up for the weather. Timothy has thoroughly thought of every detail in the home. It is beautifully furnished and decorated. It has a great outdoor space. There were plenty of televisions to keep everyone happy given the weather. The hot tub is frequently serviced and clean. It has a very nice outdoor tub as well. The outdoor showers are beautiful and well designed. He has hoses on every level to minimize tracking sand into the house. We felt very relaxed. We would definitely recommend Timothy’s place. Very responsive host. Timothy definitely cares about his property and the comfort of his guests. We would come back and recommend this house.

When the app says that Mariano is a superhost, they are right on the money! This property is beautiful, well stocked, very spacious and just lovely! We stayed here twice in 2 months and and will definatrly be back soon! Thank You Mariano! You are awesome and very responsive! Hope to See you agsin soon!

Kite's Inn was exactly as advertised and more. The home is beautiful, well-furnished, and the kitchen was well-equipped. We loved the location with great views of the Pamlico Sound. The House was ideal for pets and small children. The grass yard allowed our dogs to play outside and to swim in the Sound without having to worry about stepping on burs and the beach was ideal for our 1 1/2 year old grand child. The house is easy walking distance to nearby attractions and restaurants. Joshua is a great host who was responsive and proactive with ideas when we had a rainy day.

We came to Rodanthe to relax and that’s exactly what we did. This is the only Airbnb in the Outer Banks that we’ve considered staying at again. This rental house was more like a home which is rare to find at the beach. So many thoughtful extras to make your stay more enjoyable. The outdoor shower was everything. I didn’t use the shower inside our whole stay. The hot tub was clean and heated up quickly. The master bed was very comfortable. We spent a lot of time on the deck talking, laughing, playing games, and enjoying the sounds of the ocean and the breeze. Beach access is right in front of the house which made for a very short walk back to use the bathroom or get a drink. I appreciated having just one flight of stairs to walk my senior dogs up and down to go to the bathroom. The host was very prompt getting back to me and answering all of my questions. We had a slight issue that was out of the host’s control but they did everything in their power to make it right.

Had a great stay for our honeymoon, was very clean, the house was cute and cozy, close to everything, just a short walk to the beach. Highly recommend staying here.

Mark and Paul's place is beautiful. it is unfortunate that one of the properties across the road is in rough shape, but all other nearby properties are in excellent condition. The yard overlooking the canal is gorgeous. Do note that as with most properties in OBX, a flight of stairs is necessary to enter the house. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need and the bedrooms are extremely comfortable. Everything was spotless. We, unfortunately had rain, much of the time we were there, but did enjoy the exploring we could do. Absolutely recommend Sunrise Seafood, the fresh shrimp, crab cakes and swordfish were fabulous! Froggy Dog, ok, but not spectacular. We did enjoy Oceanas Bistro...especially the fresh tuna griller! Mark and Paul are not new to Air BNB and their attention to detail shows.

Mary Ellen and Jim’s place was absolutely perfect for our stay on the island. It was quaint, clean, and overall lovely. The outdoor shower was amazing and exactly what you need after a long day at the beach. On top of that the AC is top notch, even on the hottest day we knew we could come back to a cool space to relax and unwind. The location is central to all the great spots on the island, just a short golf cart ride! Mary Ellen and Jim were very accommodating in providing us with everything we needed from golf cart chargers to bikes and ocean kayaks. Also, the handwritten note welcoming us to the space and to the island was a really nice touch, making us feel right at home . We will definitely be coming back for another stay.
