Located just off the main street of Haverigg its the perfect location to explore the beach just around the corner (2min walk) Shop, Chippy and Pub 1 minute walk away. Aqua park and Nature reserve is also close by. We are also a good base for exploring the lake district with Coniston only being a 35min drive. Scafell Pike is close by too with a 45min drive. Relax in a peaceful, natural environment, ideal for friends, families, wild swimmers, cyclists, paddle boarders, hikers and for cosy evenings by the fireplace. Separately charged are a luxurious hot tub, perfect after a hard days hike and a wood fired barrel sauna with cold shower. A tuck shop, art classes and treatments are also available.

We are dog friendly. Our 250 year old cottage features modern rustic decor, u/f heating, log burner, super-fast internet, Smart TV, Sonos sound system and a complimentary podPoint 7kw EV charger. There are many wonderful walks and bike rides available from the front door. Stays start Mondays or Fridays.

The Black Dog Cottage - Cumbrian Countryside Stay

The Black Dog cottage is a charming 3 bedroom 2 bathroom property located in a quiet rural setting two doors down from the Black Dog Inn, outside the town of Dalton in Furness in the Cumbrian countryside. In 2021 the cottage was renovated creating open plan living on the ground floor, a double and single bedroom on the first with family bathroom and a master suite on the second, complete with ensuite. Off road parking is available at the front of the cottage and wifi available throughout.

High Bridge End cottage is an attractive stone built Lakeland property, set in the heart of the Duddon Valley. Situated directly on the banks of the picturesque River Duddon, surrounded by the National Park Southern Fells. The cottage has been renovated with views in mind, the lounge being on the first floor with vaulted ceiling, picture windows and cosy log burner. Stylish kitchen, traditional shower room, spacious utility area and private parking for two cars.

Relax at this peaceful place to stay in the Western Lake District. There are plenty of lovely walks from the doorstep. The King George pub is only a minute walk away, serving lovely home cooked food and real ale. The Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway, known locally as “La’al Ratty” is only a ten minute walk from the cottage. Eskdale Stores is open daily. The cottage itself has been recently renovated and has a secure garden with lovely views, ideal dogs.
