Beautiful place to stay

The venue is stunning, the photos do not do it justice! Everyone has everything the need in each room with their own en suite and the grandness of the building is something else! You have so much space, the large garden area wraps around back and side and is beautiful with stunning views! Everything you could need in the kitchen and welcome bottle very kindly provided by our hosts! Plenty of entertainment and eating areas! When leaving one of our cars broke down and they were very understanding and accommodating! Perfect location, made our stay extra special!

Absolutely beautiful place close to everything you need in Ulverston but nice and quiet too. Fabulously comfortable beds and living room, lots of space, spotless, lovely interior decor and a really good room rate too – a real bargain and exactly what we needed for our visit. Handy for great pubs and an especially good chip shop (The Chippy Bank, recommended), this is a great choice for families or small groups of friends who need a nice base to explore this beautiful region. Hannah was the perfect host with friendly, useful comms and good advice. We loved our stay and if we come back to the area we’ll definitely be booking here. Thanks Hannah!

Perfect location. 10/10. I did not want to leave. Comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen, unbelievable views, superb location, easy access to logs for fire with which my husband was delighted. 100% would return... tomorrow if it was possible! Our dog (border terrier) had a fantastic time too and was very interested in the wee hedgehog who appeared to be living in the bushes outside and the free range chickens!! There was also a free range doggo popping round to the garden in the evening. Vigilance/ Lead/ supervision was a must for our super inquisitive pup.

What a fantastic property and garden in such a quiet, lovely neighbourhood yet only 5 minutes’ walk to Bowness on Windermere shops and eating places, a few minutes further walk takes you to the lake and ferry terminal. The property was warm and homely, yet everything was pristine, all the rooms were immaculate, the kitchen was a pleasure to cook in, with plenty of utensils and cooking equipment, spotlessly clean. The ensuite bedrooms were beautiful as were the bathrooms. It has a huge driveway and great enclosed back garden with firepit and Weber BBQ, lots of seating, pity we were not able to take advantage of this due to the weather. The garden was very safe and enclosed for our dogs. We were able to adjust the heating temperature to suit, we really appreciated. Otto was fantastic and responded immediately to any queries before and during our holiday, as well as being pro-active from booking and throughout our week’s holiday. Thanks to the housekeeper who is doing a wonderful job.

We’re just home after a very lovely stay in the most beautiful location. Louise communicated well and provided us with a pristine place to stay with everything we could wish for to make us feel at home. The apartment has the most amazing views from every room and is very comfortable and well equipped. There are so many lovely places to visit in the area, some walkable from the accommodation, that we definitely need to visit again. We would have no hesitation in recommending this air bnb - it’s one of the best we’ve ever stayed in. Thank you Louise and Mick 😊

Eva’s cottage is a lovely cosy place, we stayed for a weekend of hiking. To come back to the cottage helped the relaxation 😀 after a long day. The cottage is pristine and as described. Nancy (the host) was clear, informative and helpful with her communication, I would definitely recommend this home and we will definitely book again. Great place

Good spacious property, great location to walk to town in a couple of mins. Only downside was the front bedroom was quite noisy due to the road so if you’re a light sleeper the back bedroom is better :)

This lodge was beautiful with amazing views over Lake Windermere from both the deck and the living room. The weather was a mix, but honestly, it was stunning whether it was raining or sunny, though the sunshine definitely made it even more magical. The lodge itself was spotless and had everything we needed, making it feel super cozy and like a home away from home. White Cross Bay Holiday Park was a great spot, really peaceful and in a perfect location for exploring, whether on foot or by car. We’ll definitely be back for another stay!

We stayed at Simon and Belinda's place for a week and it was exactly what we needed. Fantastic location for walks and food. The Wainwright's Inn is only 0.2 miles away. Great food and local ales on your doorstep. The cottage is cosy, the kitchen is well equipped and the information provided was very thorough and useful. There are some books in the house they have prepared to show various walks and local recommendations. We did some of these walks and our 5 year old enjoyed every second! We took advantage of the leisure facilities at The Langdale. This was a great addition to the cottage! Really recommend if you want a place near to town locations, walks and local pubs/cafés/restaurants.

Really enjoyed our stay, we were celebrating my Mother’s 90th birthday and had other family members staying in other lodges around the park. Beautiful scenery and great location. We’ll definitely be visiting again.

One of our favourite ever Airbnb’s! Just the perfect peaceful spot in the quintessential English countryside. The place was brilliantly kitted with so many smaller things you end up needing without realizing it. The full length mirror is always appreciated. Fantastic large smart TV with easy login to any streaming service. The “Herdy” theme for the kitchen was really a nice touch. Great big fridge and freezer. Super comfy bed. Nice big couch to relax after a long day of exploring. Alun was a fantastic host. We will definitely be back!

Lovely caravan sited on a well kept location. We are an older couple who only stayed one night to break up a journey, but would thoroughly recommend this space especially if you have a young family. Spotlessly clean and stocked with everything you need for a comfortable stay, it makes for a very enjoyable holiday. Many thanks to the hosts!

Had a lovely weekend in this beautiful lodge, weather was good and loved how the doors opened right up, perfect for outside living, a few drinks at night and breakfast on the decking in the morning. Loved the extra touches flowers, doggy basket with towels, treats etc.. was very home to home. Will definately like to return in the future.. thank you 😊

What a fabulous few days me and my boys had ..I’ve never seen them so relaxed (ages 35 and 37 )x I think it was the lovely energy we felt in the beautiful Nest xx looking out over the river each morning set us up for the day. Would recommend 100% , we had everything we needed ..I couldn’t fault it ..the bedrooms immaculate and the beds /bedding were soft clean and extremely comfortable. We enjoyed the gym and pool offer also x staff there were lovely at the Swan Hotel. Thank you xx

Absolutely beautiful cottage, the photos don't do this place justice! the interior has been throughly thought about and matches the cosy countryside vibes perfectly. Check in was easy, and the location being a short walk to Windermere was great. The home made brownies were a lovely touch too. We'll definitely be back!

We had a fantastic stay at this lovely cottage on Wastwater. The setting is stunning — right on the lake and surrounded by beautiful walking routes, perfect for exploring with our 18-month-old and dog. The cottage is tucked away on a peaceful farm with a great outdoor seating area to enjoy the views. It’s quite remote, with the nearest proper shop about 30 minutes away, but the nearby campsite shop (just half a mile down the road) had the essentials we needed. Other than that, everything was perfect. A truly relaxing break in a beautiful location — we’d definitely recommend it!

Myself and my dogs had the nicest stay at Lynn’s place and we were so sad to leave. The place was amazing, clean, tidy and had everything we needed even extra throws for the dogs. There was also some lovely local goodies and eggs left too. Lynn gave me lots of info about places to visit in the area and was extremely responsive to any questions I had. I’d been supposed to be staying with a friend who couldn’t make it in the end and I was worried as I’d booked an activity I couldn’t take my dogs too but Lynn went above and beyond and found a safe space for them to chill whilst I went and was around to keep an eye on them for me. There are lots of gorgeous sheep, goats, chickens and ducks at the smallholding who were all so friendly and Lynn left food for me to feed them whenever I wanted which was lovely. I felt so at home there, didn’t want to leave and had the loveliest break. I cannot wait to book another trip there so I can go back and would highly recommend Lynn’s place to anyone.

We had an amazing 2-night stay at Jane’s place. The house is absolutely beautiful and set in breathtaking surroundings—the photos really don’t do it justice, as the real thing is far more exquisite. The decor is warm and homely, yet spacious enough to comfortably fit the five of us. Both bathrooms were spotless—one with a shower and the other with a bathtub, which gave us the flexibility to choose. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed, including ample fridge space. The garden is also worth mentioning—gorgeous and clearly very well cared for. We especially loved the fireplace; it truly felt like the cherry on top of an already perfect stay. The house manual was detailed and extremely helpful, covering everything we needed to know. Jane was a wonderful host—so warm and thoughtful. She welcomed us with a lovely letter and some delicious biscuits, which made us feel right at home from the start. Highly recommended!

Beautiful place in the countryside! Super clean, has everything you might need… and more (like an homemade cake we found in the kitchen waiting for us ❤️) The hosts are super friendly, responsive and helpful, the location is superb if you like quiet and off-the-beaten-track places!

This is my third stay in this beautiful cottage. It’s in a really quiet location perfect for exploring the local attractions and easy to travel further afield to explore the surrounding countryside which the Lake District has plenty to offer. Pauline is the perfect host with great communication. I’ll be back again for sure.

we had a lovely stay. The cottage is much larger that it looks in the pictures. It has all the things you could need for a great stay. The area is beautiful, and the garden is lovely. it is worth noting that the garden is not enclosed, so if you have dogs, they cannot be off the lead in the garden. however, there is a large secure field with woods about a minute from the cottage.
