Monthly Rentals in Helton

Would fully recommend staying at Helen's place. The accomodation is really spacious and has everything you need, and is a good base for the local area. Helen is really responsive and is a great host.

We visited the cottage with our grown -up children, and it was a lovely relaxed space for us all to catch up. We loved the view from the kitchen window. It would be ideal to book the adjoining studio as well. The studio was empty when we visited, so can't comment on how noise might transfer. The garden was a warm suntrap for breakfast, and evening sun floods into the living and dining room. The cottage was clean, and the kitchen well-equipped. Things like towels, toiletries and toilet roll were provided generously, which meant we didn't have to spend our holiday shopping, although Penrith is only 15 minutes drive, with plenty of supermarkets. We walked through the beautiful Lowther estate to the castle, as suggested by Sue, and a short drive took us to Aira Force, a spectacular waterfall near Ullswater. Lots of classic mountain walks nearby too. This is a lovely area and ideally-placed to explore the Lakes.

I’ve just spent the most wonderful and memorable weekend with my daughter on Alice’s stunningly beautiful farm. This really is an absolute gem. The setting is like walking back in time and the cottage is just gorgeous, warm and welcoming with everything you need for a peaceful break away from it all. Perfectly located near to Ullswater and all it has to offer yet without all the hustle and bustle! Great links to the rest of the Lakes too. Alice and George made us feel so so welcome and even took the time to show my daughter all the animals on the farm. Thanks so much Alice. We can’t wait to return! X

Beautiful farmhouse in a remote location. Absolutely perfect for walks right from the doorstep. The place itself is lovely and clean and is fitted with high quality amenities. A lovely place to stay for a getaway
