Cosy Yorkshire Dales cottage in idyllic setting

GillRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We loved the cottage and location. We had come to walk in Swaledale and Naomi has a great list of easy to find walks of different lengths straight from the front door. It is super peaceful with views across the Marske valley. Easy drive up the Dale for other walks. Thoroughly enjoyed the local history books in the cottage. Everything was as described and easy to use and to feel right at home. Would definitely recommend and hope to return too.

Helwith Cottage - UKC3455

This is a magical place. We just stayed for the weekend with our two children aged 11 and 12 and we feel like we’ve been away for a week! The scenery is idyllic and the property is cosy and welcoming with lots of lovely touches throughout. There are great walks straight from the door and a stream a very short walk away. The girls were particularly taken with the farm next door, which has goats and chickens. You can also get a bacon butty and a pot of tea after your walk! We will definitely be booking again

Stunning Views over the Swale, Barn Cottage.

LauraRating, 5 stars5 months ago
We had a lovely stay in the cottage over New Year’s Eve. The wood burner made it feel very cosy, and it’s really well equipped - it has pretty much everything you might need for a few nights stay. The location is perfect for walking - we did a couple straight from the cottage, with really varied landscapes which were absolutely stunning, including rivers, big vistas and farmland, ending with an excellent pub in Gunnerside. Just a couple of things, which wouldn’t bring my review score down but worth noting - we couldn’t get the washing machine to work, which didn’t really matter to us but worth checking with Harriet if it’s an essential. Also, the hairdryer wasn’t great so worth bringing your own if your hair takes hours to dry like mine! Lastly, the sound system is pretty old and doesn’t have Bluetooth, so better bring a speaker if you like listening to music. Overall, we loved the cottage and had a fantastic stay!

The Little Barn -Secluded Romantic & Unique

NickRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We absolutely adored our stay in the Little Barn. We felt so at home there. Everything about it was really comfortable - the sofa, the bed (REALLY comfy!), the furnishings, and the warmth of the place (good heating). The kitchen had all that we needed, and we loved being able to use the outdoor pizza oven, enjoying homemade pizzas and a bottle of Prosecco on the last night (Rebecca had very kindly left us the Prosecco and lots of other lovely things; eggs, coffee capsules for the coffee machine, some lovely chocolate - thank you so much!). The surroundings are really cool - the moors are so different to what we’re used to (coming from Hampshire/Surrey) and the walks through them and out onto the Dales were just spectacular. The view from the cottage was very cute; sheep and rabbits nearby. The cottage has books in it with great suggestions as to what to do/where to go, which we used to plan our outings. Truly a wonderful stay and we will definitely be coming back!

Spacious, comfy home on moors

Danielle Richardson Rating, 5 stars3 days ago
Stunning home. The house is beautifully curated and styled with everything you would need. We had a gorgeous stay with our best friends and the kids and Betty the dog. The kids were able to roam around free range kids and we could be relaxed as the area was safe and peaceful. The house is done to a great spec and the views are perfect and it's very very relaxing, a super chilled place to stay and get away from it all. Honestly it's gorgeous. great little walks near by and the bike centre in Wreath was great too, Richmond is close by and beadle car boot on the Saturday was fun with the kids buying tat! Would 100% recommend x x
