The Oude Smederij is located in an agricultural area on the outskirts of the village of Arum (on the Elfsteden route) and is centrally located between Harlingen (on the Wadden Sea with ferry services to Vlieland and Terschelling), Franeker (Planetarium and Frisian Museum), Bolsward (Broerekerk) and Makkum, located on the IJsselmeer with boulevard and beach.

De ruime leefkeuken beschikt over alle faciliteiten om een heerlijke maaltijd te bereiden. De woning heeft 3 slaapkamers, een kinderbedje en kinderstoel, 3 toiletten, 2 badkamers. The beautiful views towards the dyke and into the orchard are unique in this Friesian landscape, where the sunsets are spectacular and ever changing.
