Cottage holiday rentals in Hetton-le-Hole

A lovely place to stay! Host was very helpful and friendly. Had an amazing field nearby for kids and dogs. Would recommend!

We had an absolute wonderful two-night stay at this cottage! It's lovely, spotlessly clean, and incredibly well-equipped with everything you could need. The welcome gifts were a delightful surprise, and the hosts were so friendly and quick to respond to all our messages. The location is perfect, just a short few minutes drive to the beach. What truly stood out was their amazing hospitality: we accidentally left something behind, and they sent it to us via next-day delivery without hesitation. We can't recommend this place enough!

Spent 3 lovely peaceful days here! The place is spotless. Easy to check in, but quite a late one for standard check in times. Even with surrounding neighbours there was minimal disturbance.

Beautiful cottage a few streets away from the centre of Richmond up a fairly steep hill. Double yellow lines outside the cottage but plenty of parking on the street diagonally opposite. The cottage has a double bedroom downstairs and another upstairs.... original features throughout with a modern twist. The little courtyard at the back was pretty and the hot tub was an added bonus that was very private. You will need flip flops though as the courtyard is covered in pebbles. It would be nice if darker coloured towels were provided for when using the hot tub. We arrived to find a gift of a bottle of sparkling wine and biscuits which was a really kind gesture but a small carton of milk would have also been welcomed. It was a self check in which was easy but it would have been nice to see some sort of useful information booklet within the property showing recommendations of pubs,restaurants and other useful local numbers. All in all a beautiful stay can't wait to revisit .... thanks Hannah

Back at Ivy Cottage again, we had another great stay. We love the hut tub and pool table, and plenty of space for everyone. Thanks Jane.

We enjoyed a great break in Peewit Cottage, which was spotless and had everything you need. The surroundings were well looked after and amenities great. The little touches, including the welcome pack (best we’ve had and included the dog!) and Prosecco and strawberries to enjoy in the hot tub were thoughtful and lovely. All the information you need is provided prior to arrival or readily available within the cottage. We used the cottage as a base to visit local attractions, all easily accessible by car. Glen was both very welcoming and helpful. Would definitely recommend and somewhere we would return to. Thank you, Jacqueline!

10/10 recommendations!! Stayed here for a couple nights with a group of friends. The cottage was even better in person the photos really don’t give it enough justice. views outside were beautiful. We were lucky to have the hot weather during our stay so made good use of the outdoor amenities like the hot tub and fire pit. Overall an excellent property which is excellent value for money. Would definitely recommend and I personally will be back! Massive thank you to Mark and Michelle!

Had a great stay at Delia's beautiful house, comfortable and stylish with everything that we needed, in a great location in Stokesly, with shops pubs and bars all a minute or two walk away, but set back on a green so really peacefull, great garden too. Highly recommended!

Great place to stay with the family and dogs! Incredible walks in the surrounding area, and great place for games nights in the evening! Jeff was incredible helpful and responsive when we messaged him! Would highly recommended for a peaceful stay away!

I managed to book this at the hottest weekend with my dog that doesn’t do heat! Matthew and Jess were brilliant, they provided a fan, ice pops for us and the dog! They thought of everything and fabulous recommendations. Sadly my dog was not well and we had to leave almost as soon as we had arrived to get to my vets The place was gorgeous though, will definitely try to go back when it’s cooler!

The studio was ideally located for me to stay while attending a family funeral. Peaceful and private, ideal.

Our stay was perfect, the house is incredibly cosy and immaculately clean. The property is close distance to the major attractions. We chose to park behind the property.. We enjoyed our short break in Blyth, we visited the castle and Lindisfarne and wrapped up our visit to the inner Farne to spot some puffins. It was the highlight! Would definitely want to come back again and stay! Just a recommendation- maybe a couple of basics in the fridge would be great- milk, butter? My daughter enjoyed the chocolates! Thank you!

We needed a place to stay while our bathroom was being remodelled, and it needed to be close to home so we could check on the progress of the work. Violet Cottage fitted our needs perfectly. It was clean, comfortable, well stocked with essentials (the chocolate biscuits were a bonus) and was simply everything we’ve come to expect from an Airbnb Superhost. Grant was very responsive when we had questions and generally made sure our stay was entirely to our satisfaction. For out of town visitors, this place is close to the city centre, close to the river and close to a lot of facilities, both for basic needs and entertainment. We highly recommend Violet Cottage.

Excellent accommodation and the little personal touches were lovely, the dogs certainly enjoyed their personalised treats. The bed was great, the gardens great for pottering and relaxing and the quality of the bed, in particular the linen, made for an excellent nights sleep. Alison and Paul were always on hand if we needed them, but left us to get on which we like when we’re away. The pub and the deli/shop in the village are both excellent, well worth visiting. A great stay all round.

The perfect place for a weekend getaway! Lots of great places to see in the area. Addy’s cottage had everything we could have needed and more. We made good use of the fully equipped kitchen but had some great recommendations for places to eat out nearby too. The cottage is a clean and cosy space and we couldn’t have asked for more! We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back.

Spacious and comfortable cottage ideal for a couple in a pretty village by the moors. We enjoyed visiting the surroundings including the city of Durham and Beamish Open Air Museum as well as castles and countryside. On street parking was no problem as we always parked in front of the cottage.

Holly and Chris were lovely hosts. Offered us local recommendations, super friendly and messages were clear. They provided basics like milk and coffee/tea, and extras like bread and eggs which were a lovely touch Felt like they were available if needed but also gave us our privacy

A well equipped house with character which was a great place to spend a week exploring the south of Northumberland. The house has character, is in a quiet spot on a hill overlooking fields and is well equipped. John was there if we needed him and always chatty and helpful when. We'd definitely stay again!

The cottage was beautiful and we loved our stay there. The location was perfect for walks and exploring the area. The cottage was very well equipped with beautiful soft towels and luxury linens, the bed was very comfy too! It really was a home from home and we not hesitate to stay here again.

We had a fantastic stay at Stephanie’s beautiful cottage. The property was spotless, the gardens were gorgeous, and the surrounding village was peaceful and picturesque. Stephanie was incredibly accommodating, even with a last-minute change to our booking, which made everything so much easier. There were several lovely walks right from the doorstep, and we really enjoyed exploring the local area. A perfect relaxing getaway - we’d definitely love to return!
