Pet-friendly holiday rentals in High Rock Lake

Our stay was extraordinary. The house was full of amenities, very comfortable and was exactly as described. The weather reduced our time in the yard but there was so much to do in the house (e.g. pool table & games) we did not miss a beat. I am a big fan of good shower pressure and the bathrooms felt like spas. The Internet was strong and the A/C allowed us to sleep soundly in the very comfortable beds. The hosts were responsive to our requests and even reached out to check on us.

Nikki is such a gracious host! She is always responsive to any questions. The personal touches she leaves make you feel welcome. This is the third time we have stayed and we highly recommend Nikki’s place.

The place was exactly what my family needed. I really appreciated the quality of the sheets and blankets in the rooms. Slept really well. kitchen and dining areas served our needs. Great, responsive host and comfortable, safe place to stay if you need to be close to the University. We would definitely stay again.

My husband and I stayed here for our babymoon and overall really loved the experience. It was the perfect size for the two of us and felt cozy. They had a perfect spot on the lake and we never saw the neighbors, so although there are houses around it felt private. The balcony was our favorite part and we enjoyed having our meals outside. What I will say is that I wish there was a fire pit. There was gas fire pit in the pictures so we assumed there would be one and even brought stuff to make snores, but there is none. We are love being outside but having no fire pit was disappointing. There was also a plethora of bugs which made sitting outside last sundown nearly impossible. Don’t get me wrong i understand we are at the lake in June, but a fire pit or some sort of bug zapper mechanism would have done wonders. I would also not recommend for larger groups as there is only 1 bathroom and steel stairs to access it. Overall we would definitely book again and actually plan to!

My friends and I had a great stay, and will certainly be back. Had a wonderful time in the area & the house was just as described (and even more beautiful than the pictures) Gladis was a great host and her home made our trip even better. I recommend staying here 💝

If you are looking for a good place to fish this is one of the best spots so far we came here for my boyfriend Bday and this was the most fish he ever caught we enjoyed it. Grilled food and did roasted marshmallows. The host was very responsive Amber & Her husband. I Didn't have no issue with them as long as you communicate with them and follow the rules everything is good about them. They answered every question If you dont like the bugs then this not the place for you and if you are not good with walking the stairs just know there are steep stairs to the doc but if you love to fish then this is definitely the place to come you will have some on and off moments with the fish but if you patient enough you will have so many fish you can have a fish fry . Caught crapees & catfish. If you want to fish at night there are a few lights provided but I would recommend to bring extra just incase and place them where you going to stand at we fished till 10-11 on some nights We will be Back!

We stayed here for a youth state shooting tournament . The boys wanted to fish more than go to the tournament! It’s a safe community with a pond in the back and close access to the lake! We enjoyed it!

Very clean peaceful place with easy access. Plenty of basic supplies. Dawn is a very responsive hostess. Our second time staying here.

The house and amenities were beautiful, far exceeded the pictures. Ryan was very responsive and quick when we were locked out of the house. Unfortunately, it did rain so we didn’t get to enjoy the pool this time. However, when we return, will likely book again! Thanks!

I had a wonderful stay at Ron’s place! The place was clean, cozy, and exactly as described. The location was perfect and very welcoming. Highly recommend and would love to stay again!

My son and I had a great stay here. The RV itself was great. Very clean, extremely comfortable, and had everything we needed. The community was very nice with a lot of things to do from the pool, basketball, fishing, horseshoes, and lake area. It was very peaceful and I highly recommend for a nice getaway. Some nice local places nearby for food and supplies. Spiders has bait, tackle, and some local produce(the tomatoes were fantastic.) Not to mention, the lady(I feel bad I forgot her name) is extremely nice and helpful. There is also an ice cream place, general store, and dollar general right up the road. Host was great, very responsive and gave very clear instructions that made check in and out a breeze. Would definitely rent again.

We enjoyed our stay at this campground! The location is absolutely beautiful, and everything was clean and well-maintained. It’s such a peaceful spot, and we loved being so close to the NC Zoo – a perfect place to visit! Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to get away in nature but still be near a fun, family-friendly attraction. Will definitely stay here again!

Our stay was the perfect space for us to rest and relax while we were visiting our family. Despite being June the weather was a little too chilly to enjoy swimming. My favorite morning and evening spot was in the porch swing by the pool. There are friendly hosts and then there are Jill and her family. They were so gracious and made sure we had everything we needed. Quick to answer any questions but ensured we had our privacy too. We have never enjoyed our hosts as much as the brief time we spent chatting with Jill and her husband. There are lots of books, board games, and little amenities like a towel warmer in the bathroom. We had coffee for our mornings and bottled water already in the refrigerator when we arrived- nice after a long drive. We were gone most of the day but arriving at night and having the pool area lit up was so inviting. When we find our way back to the area we hope to find her property available so we can stay again.

Stacia’s place was exactly as listed and better. Great info from her when asked and plenty of reminders and extras onsite to get the most from the resort! Stacia was extremely responsive to us! Her place was better than expected. My family and I were coming from a last minute change at an another property we intend to stay at in this resort. The other place was not as listed, with many problems…. Luckily the stay was saved by and ended up being a great trip. Thank you Stacia!

The cabin was exactly what we were looking for, we absolutely loved it. It was very clean, comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed to make meals....everything was as described. We had a great time fishing and relaxing on the dock. Diane was very helpful and had great communication. We would definitely return, we had an amazing time!

Had an amazingly relaxing stay here with my dad and pup for an awesome Memorial Day weekend. Brought me back to my younger days of being on the lake up in Michigan. I just felt at peace each morning on the dock with a cup of coffee, my dog and the sunrise. Thank you for the very relaxing, carefree weekend. It was much needed.

This was one of the most fun camping trips i have done with my teen son! Jason was super flexible and helped me make this trip come true! I highly recommend his "Glamping" to those who want to explore nature but with a big more comfort!

We always love staying here:) Accommodations are as advertised. Easily sleeps 6+. Newly upgraded grill and dock. Responsive owner. MUCH cleaner than most "pet friendly" airbnbs... and the visiting dogs from next door are so friendly and polite. Best fishing we've found in NC!

I absolutely adored my short time at Daniel’s little slice of heaven. Description was 100% accurate and I instantly felt stress of the day melting away. Daniel was so helpful and incredibly kind. I was traveling and found this precious gem to spend a couple of restful nights there. I do not think I have slept that well in months. I loved it and I couldn’t believe how much room it had if I by chance happened to have my daughters with me. I would stay there again in a second if back in the area. It was just perfect and Daniel is a top notch host and human. We all should work harder with being so kind to one another. Wonderful little spot. Could not recommend more.

The place was absolutely perfect for our needs ! We sat on the brand new dock! We fished will all of the provided equipment ! Gameroom was perfect for the unpredictable weather and the awning was a lifesaver! Neighbors were super friendly and offered to help in the event that we needed anything! Very easy to gather our belongings and head out! The limited amount of "work" that we did (literally only put away cushions , took out trash, put all the towels in the laundry room ). Not having to strip beds, start laundry, start dishwasher etc was an awesome surprise! Will definitely re-book if we are ever in that neck of the woods again!! Thanks a million !!

Terry’s place was great. The house is beautiful and the view was spectacular. Terry is extremely kind and hospitable. We made great family memories cooking out, swimming off the dock, playing corn hole and enjoying each other’s company. We would definitely recommend and would stay here again.
