My family and I live on the sunny outskirts of Waldau, directly in the beautiful Ansbachtal at the foot of the Thuringian Forest. A separate entrance leads you to your area of the house. The bright and newly renovated rooms invite you to relax. The forest is almost at your doorstep. It is only a few minutes by bike to the Ratscher mountain lake. The Goethe city of Ilmenau, the state capital of Erfurt or the Vestestadt of Coburg in neighboring Bavaria are easily accessible by highway.

Our cozy, light-flooded and modern apartment is located in the countryside exactly between Bamberg and Coburg - two very worthwhile cities in Franconia. Our farm is a real oasis of well-being surrounded by forest and extensive fields. Some lakes are also within walking distance. We have great hiking trails and bike tours in the Hassbergen. An absolute place to arrive and feel good and an ideal starting point for day trips, for example to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Bamberg.

Modern holiday home in the heart of the Grabfeld

After I inherited the farm from my grandfather, one thing was clear to me, "this farm is not for sale." Thus, together with my parents, I completely renovated the farm and created a modern furnished vacation home. Guest house on the Schleusehof... enjoy nature!

Our guest house (about 89 m) is located on our mini-farm, which we run as a hobby. The Schleusehof is idyllically located on a small river, where you can cool your feet on hot days. The house sleeps 4 people (2 adults + 2 children). On request, we also have a baby cot for the little ones. The farm offers space to romp and relax. Kitchen amenities: fridge, stove and dishwasher. Guests have a cozy terrace with barbecue at their disposal. We offer each guest a fresh chicken egg from our chickens per day.

Our apartment is located in quiet forest surroundings but within walking distance to Sonneberg town centre. It is perfect for hikers and mountain bikers, with hundreds of kilometres of trails leading into the Thuringian Forest national park from our front door.
