Holiday rentals with breakfast in Iceland

This is one of the best Bed and Breakfast experiences you can have in Iceland! The host family lives there, giving you a homey feeling, a wonderful homemade breakfast and good conversation with ideas about what to do in the area if you ask.

The street is very noisy but everything else was great!

I had an amazing experience at this Airbnb! Birgir was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The space was spotless, cozy, and provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay. One of the highlights was our Iceland story time with Birgir—his captivating stories gave us a deeper appreciation for the country and its culture. His passion for the environment was truly inspiring, motivating me to become more proactive about global warming and environmental responsibility. Birgir also recommended trying an Icelandic swimming pool, and we absolutely loved it! This was a truly memorable stay, and I can’t recommend it enough!

The room at Gudrun's place was perfect. It is sufficiently large and has access to a balcony. Kitchen and bathroom are shared, but this is not a problem. We loved the breakfast. Gudrun is very friendly and told us a lot about the area and Iceland. We would book it again.

Great accommodation for 3 people. The location is convenient for a stop on the ring road. The room, toilets and kitchen are very clean. This farmhouse is very cozy, it has a pleasant library on the ground floor ideal for sneaking into the many books of Iceland. We met lovely people who also drive the ring road. Absolutely recommendable!

Gutti and Svana were amazing! We had some difficulty finding the house, but Gutti drove around town to find us. Once we arrived, they were extremely kind, warm, and welcoming. We had the entire house to ourselves. They stayed in their unattached sunroom and made themselves available to us for whatever we needed. They showed us how to use the hot tub, which we thoroughly enjoyed. To make us comfortable, Gutti found a good radio station for us and brought over a couple of cold Viking beers. This was the most relaxed we were on our 11-day trip. Gutti and Svana felt like family at the end of our stay. They were incredible and generous hosts, and we would highly recommend staying with them.

The house was clean and tidy, even though reservation was made very late at that day, contact with the owners (Dagmar and her husband) was very quick and helpful. Good place for overnight stay.

It took some effort to find this place, but it was definitely worth it. The house is clean, the host is friendly, and although it's across the river from Akureyri, it's not too far—after all, most people staying here are probably driving anyway. Overall, I'd give it a 4.2 out of 5.

The apartment was recently renovated, very comfortable and looked clean. It’s very close from the center and would definitely be back.

This place is PERFECT if you are driving the golden circle or even doing a trip to the black sand beach from ring road. Tita Virgie was flexible with us and made us delicious breakfast each morning which fueled us for our long days. She is so wonderful to talk to and genuinely makes her guests feel at home. Lastly, the bed was sooo comfortable. This was the perfect place to come back to after a long day of exploring on the road!

Anna is an amazing lady who will entertain you with his local stories. Also, she provided excellent suggestions of places to visit. I got upgraded for free to the flat and it was such a great place. I wish I could live there. You can not go wrong by booking this place.

Ylfa's was very friendly and helpful. Her place is beautiful and super cozy, it felt like staying as a local. And the location is super!, highly recommended.

The location’s hard to miss, at the end of one of the roads. The room’s small but sufficient. The passcode system is great since that takes away the hassle of having and possibly losing keys. The private bathroom has a tiny sink and the water from the shower leaks easily to the other parts of the bathroom. That aside, the breakfast was amazing and the spread was impressive. Will stay again.

Great place with beautiful sea views. The breakfast was also very, very tasty. We left completely satisfied and can only highly recommend the accommodation!

Had a nice stay in the guesthouse. Everything is brand new, really comfortable shower and bed. Breakfast is ready the night before so you can take it the next day whenever you want.

a great experience to see an Icelandic horse farm. You really stay in a home. The horses and dogs are super trusting and Snæbjöen has many interesting stories to tell.

We stayed as a group of 5 and had an amazing time. Agust shared some incredible stories from his life and gave great tips about navigating through and participating in activities in the area. The house is beautiful and comfortable and set in a lovely location. We are sorry we didn’t have time to partake in the hiking and horse riding adventures that Agust leads and would love to make time for this on our next visit to Iceland. We would definitely stay here again!

Absolutely amazing!!! This was our one airbnb to break up a campervan trip around the whole ring road and we couldn’t have asked for anything more. The food was all homemade and delicious, especially the bread and waffles. Our host was so lovely and showed us around the farm where we had such a great time meeting the sheep and horses! After passing by so many in Iceland, it was a real treat to be able to pet and see the horses up close. The spaces were perfect as well, nice big rooms with an attached bathroom. Fridge and freezer space, laundry, coffee, tea, and a warm welcome from the family dog, we can’t wait to come back! <3
