We had an exceptional stay here at Myvtan. The unit was well appointed, tastefully decorated with local influences and crafts. The owners are wonderful people and take pride in their home and business. I would highly recommend the space.

This stay was absolutely perfect. So much charm, and it got us several hours into our ring road trip on the first day. They were so friendly and accommodating. Definitely would stay here again.

Best place we stayed in Iceland

Our stay here was perfect. The cosy house has everything you need. The kitchen is very well equipped and clean. The rest of the house is clean as well. The views are fantastic and the location is perfect. We really enjoyed our stay here!

This cottage was so cozy and warm, has a great view, awesome location, everything was just perfect! The hosts were so welcoming and friendly, we felt right at home! I definitely recommend this place to everyone!

One of the best places that we stayed In Iceland.

Awesome place, love the all-in horse furnishings. A little off the main road, worth the trip for the beautiful scenery. Super easy and flexible check in. I really appreciated that with my late arrival. There was a hot plate and pot so I was able to make soup for dinner. Wonderful.

We had 6 nights in Cottage 3 and were completely satisfied. It is quiet, the view is wonderful, the beds are very comfortable, everything is clean and as a base for excursions in the nearby area, the location is great! There is so much more to discover than the well-known hotspots. We enjoyed the time and would come back anytime.

Peaceful surroundings n we had a pleasant stay. Washing machine n dryer were a huge bonus as the last few days have been wet n cold so it was nice to wash n dry our clothings. Laundromat are difficult to come by in Iceland! Our host was very accommodating to allow us to check in earlier before check in time of 5pm.

I cannot praise Kolbrun’s accommodations enough. The only negative was that we only stayed one night! We were so comfortable there, the views were spectacular, and it was so peaceful after traveling for 10 days. Highly recommend!

Wonderful place. Private. Scenic. And comfortable. Our family had a great time. The house was well located as a base of operations for daily hikes and visits.

This is a super nice little house! We immediately felt a home. It was great to spend two nights here between the sea and the horses. Gudfinna is a very nice host - as are all the other family members living in the farm. We really enjoyed our stay and wish Gudfinna and her family all the best. Cheers Christoph & Family

A wonderful stay in a well-equipped and beautifully located cabin. Whilst relatively compact, the cabin had everything we (a family of four) needed including a washing machine and tumble dryer. Very accessible and located conveniently for not just the Golden Circle but other areas such as Landmannalaugar. Would recommend.

Björn’s listing was exactly what we hoped for! He and his wife were so friendly and welcoming! We loved the horses and the dogs - along with our location and access to everything we planned. We hope to return for another stay in the future! Ps Björn was kind and accommodating when we needed a bit of extra time to leave in the morning of check out and it was greatly appreciated!

He was very responsive and helpful. Very comfortable house. Could have used an extra bathroom for a large crowd and the washer and dryer were small considering a large group and many outdoor activities daily. We did enjoy our stay, just thing to consider and be aware of in advance.

This is an authentic stay, one that might be overlooked but shouldn’t be if you are wanting a place to stay close to the peninsula. Fjola is deeply connected to her family land and she is so kind. The home is remote by US standards but that’s part of the charm. The view from one of the bedrooms is unforgettable. We enjoyed the goats and cat that visited us each morning and evening.

This cottage was super cute, we loved visiting during the midnight sun! The farm was very tranquil and peaceful and the horses in the backyard were beautiful. The house was clean and private. There was a small washing machine for laundry and the geothermal spa was great after a long day of hiking.

The house was absolutely lovely, built in a typically islandic style and with lots of caution on details. We felt very comfortable from the very beginning and enjoyed our entire stay a lot. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen perfectly equipped, and the wonderfully calm atmosphere simply gorgeous. We enjoyed sitting in the hot tub surrounded by the amazing islandic landscape or having a cup of coffee on the sunny terrace. But think of planning a bit ahead with your groceries as the next bigger supermarket is approximately 40 km away. Altogether a perfect holiday experience!
