Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Illinois River

This was a nice old house in a small town. We needed a place to stay while making funeral arrangements for a family member. It was perfect for us and peaceful. Much nicer than any of the hotels nearby and very reasonably priced.

Nice accommodations for our girl trip! Enjoyed our time on the river. Brandon was very helpful & excellent communication. Would recommend!

Went for a weekend with friends and loved the airbnb! The house had so much character and we felt right at home. Lots of space to spread out and plenty of beds! The place is centrally located so getting around was easy.

We had nice stay at the house - the inside was nice enough, albeit a little dated in some areas. The outside seating area had a lot of debris so we couldn't spend much time on the patio, but ultimately it's a nice area with close access to the river and Peoria. I'd stay there again.

Our family of 6 had a wonderful time at Theresa’s fun house! Excellent location to visit Buffalo/Starved Rock State Park by day and try some excellent restaurants downtown at night. The house itself had so many fun options to play- all of us had a blast! We would absolutely come stay again! Thank you Theresa!

I enjoyed staying at Brandon’s place. This is my second time staying at this cozy home while visiting family in Decatur. He has everything one would need to cook a large meal. The entire space is very comfortable. Thanks for providing a place for me to stay while visiting in Decatur.

An incredible experience connecting to nature and others! You're really afforded the choice between an intimate private stay or an inspiring communal experience, and both are incredible. My favorite part (aside from the delicious wood-fired pizza) was the farm tour and learning about regenerative agriculture. It's an optional tour that we're so glad we opted into. We had no kiddos with us, but it's probably helpful to note that it's extremely kid friendly! We star-gazed at night and woke up to a beautiful chorus of birds. Overall: 10/10 would recommend!

My husband and I had an incredible time during our stay in The Rock Cottage. I reserved the place as a getaway for my husband’s birthday, and Amy and Laura made the visit particularly lovely. We loved the privacy of the fire pit after hiking and exploring all day, and walking around town was beyond easy given the location of the place. And for moments needing a bit of tech, the WiFi was flawless and we had no problem accessing streaming services. Without a doubt, we recommend this place for anyone looking to slow down and enjoy greenery.

We love to stay here. It's welcoming and the bed is so comfy. It's small, but so well appointed that you don't notice!

out of the places I've stayed, THIS is TOP 10. Spacious, top-notch decoration/ stylistics, great kitchen with everything I needed. and the location is worth a million. the owners run a historic business downstairs. Cant wait to visit again

Our 2nd stay at this location. We love the large living area, open kitchen and 1 and a half bathrooms. Perfect for couples who are accustomed to more than one bathroom. Sitting on the covered porch is a treat! Wish we would’ve had time to use the grill. Will definitely come back in the winter to try out the fireplace and play the board games they have available.

Great spot to go with friends and family. They have a water park, arcade, mini golf, and an ice cream place. We had a fun time at this resort and would definitely do it again!

This was a wonderful place to stay while my sister and I were hiking in the area. It was close to the state parks and was a quiet and peaceful place. The decor was perfect for the cabin-type feel of the home and having two bedrooms and two bathrooms was great. The additional vanity area in the master bedroom with a sink was a wonderful bonus! We also enjoyed the jacuzzi after hiking for several hours each day, and the beds were very comfortable. I highly recommend staying here!

Beautiful, spacious home. Had the amenities that were listed. Will need to bring shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and extra rolls of toilet paper, and this is listed in the details. The home was spotless and welcoming for our executive team retreat. How to instructions were provided and worked perfectly. Grateful for this opportunity to share dedicated time with my team in a space that allowed everyone to have personal space even when sharing a room. The bedrooms are enormous and lovely.

Had a great stay here. Yan was very nice and accommodating and helped out with whatever she can. I was initially hesitant to stay in a room myself as a female, but Yan made me feel very safe and even gave me a private key to use to lock up my room and belongings when I left for the day. I would come back and stay here again if I was in Champaign.
