Holiday rentals with a hot tub in James River

second time staying here and it was better than i remembered. the house itself is incredible.. huge kitchen island for entertaining, immaculate bedrooms, and that back window wall is just spectacular. 10/10 vibes, love this place!

We had a wonderful stay. The property was beautiful- very well kept and cozy. We were very comfortable. Rose was easy to communicate and so inviting. Thanks for a great visit we will come back someday!

We had a great time at Greg’s and Nicole’s place! I highly recommend it. We especially appreciated how well stocked the kitchen was, as it is somewhat rare to find when staying at a rental.

My family and I had a great time staying in the home. The images did not do it justice. We were shocked by the beauty of the views and scenery from their home. The property was large and our kids had a blast running around and playing in the treehouse. Highly recommend the place if you like nature and scenery. The train did pass a few times but our kids (ages 2-7) were fine with white noise at night. It didn’t disrupt our time at all. We also really enjoyed the game room. My wife loved using the kitchen and we were thankful they kept some spices on hand. The home is very kid friendly and one of the best airbnbs we’ve stayed at. We grilled, watched the stars from the jacuzzi, picnicked and explored the grounds. We even got to use the laundry room with a quick help from the host. Highly recommend!!

This was an awesome experience! The place was so comfy and roomy! We loved using the hot-tub! It was clean and her hospitality was over the top! We will definitely book with her again if we are in the area and recommend it to our friends!!

We stayed at this home for W&L graduation. It was just as described and was well-appointed and clean. There was a ramp to the first floor which was accommodated one of our guests who had mobility issues. The home has plenty of space and worked well for our group of 8. It is in a somewhat remote location (which we knew when we booked) with beautiful views of the mountains. The hosts were responsive to all of our inquiries. Unfortunately, now that our son has graduated we probably won't have an occasion to stay here again but we would definitely recommend it if you don't mind a 20 minute ride to the W&L campus.

House was great, exactly as described in listing. Very comfortable, quiet location. Hot tub was in excellent condition, didn’t have all bells and whistles but not needed, jets worked fine. Bed and couch comfortable. Place was very clean. Kitchen stocked well enough. Had issue with Nest thermostat being locked on AC. We had unexpected low temps. And Bryan was quick to change over to heat. Was our only issue I can think of.

This beautiful house is so eccentric and cool, we absolutely loved it. The outside patio and yard was gorgeously lit at night. The house was very clean and well stocked. We cooked family meals in the big kitchen and had all needed utensils, cookware & dishes. We really enjoyed playing pool and shuffleboard and soaking in the hot tub every night. We went out on the water with the paddle boards and also enjoyed fishing off the dock. The beach area is super cute!! This property is very private, peaceful & quiet. Our family of 8 had multiple devices and gaming systems using the wifi with no issues of lagging or buffering. We all enjoyed the movie room, playing video games, singing karaoke and watching movies. Everything worked properly as it should. All of us took a turn in the massage chair!! We fell in love with the pups Shadow & Wickett. Playing ball/fetch with Shadow was the highlight of our stay. Our host Erik was friendly and quickly answered our questions. Will definitely be back!

Veronica is an amazing host and we had a wonderful time staying there. The place is true to the name - A Time to Chill. We felt right at home as soon as we stepped inside. The kids had a fun time playing arcade games and Foosball. Our evenings were spend mostly in the backyard either in the hot tub or having fun around the bonfire. We couldn't try the pizza oven and felt we should have stayed longer. Definitely, a highly recommended place and we will love to be back soon.

Great place 10 minutes from Busch Gardens. Very spacious bedrooms and common areas. Clean and equipped with all the necessities. My only “gripe” is I was expecting one king and one queen bed but got one king and two doubles. It wasn’t a big enough deal for us to request to be moved. Just be aware if that is a deal breaker for you.

This was a beautiful house with all the amenities and more. Very clean and beautifully decorated. Definitely a gem of a place and I would definitely stay again. Host was very responsive. Surrounding area was peaceful and very easy to find.

We stayed at Darwin’s beautiful and clean home for my son’s JMU graduation. We had plenty of space for all of us and we were very comfortable. Darwin is very responsive to any issue and the check in is very easy. I would easily recommend this place to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, spacious, and quiet place to stay.

We loved staying at Ben's beautiful house in Wintergreen. It was very private, clean and comfortable. When sitting on the deck it was like staying up in a canape of trees. We had a wonderful and relaxing few days and Ben is very easy to contact and gets right back to you should you need anything.

The cabin on the lake was relaxing, comfortable and a great central place for allowing us to visit the historic Civil War battlefields in the area, Monticello and close enough to Washington D.C.to enjoy two days of sightseeing there. We enjoyed sitting on the rocking chairs on the cabin porch and watching the fishermen in their boats, the birds and especially the swan who came to visit us.

Great home! Wonderful Pool! Well stocked and clean home! We had an amazing family weekend! Very responsive owner! Can’t wait to return!

Kristen was a fantastic host! I booked a year in advance, and she was very helpful from start to finish. The stay was perfect for our out-of-town guest! Location, cleanliness and great communication was top notch!

Staying at Eugene’s place was greatI. The view was beautiful! The cabin was super clean and welcoming. We were also a short ride to town. Absolutely would look forward to staying at this place again.

My family and I loved our stay at Sherilynn’s cabin! The cabin has everything you could want and then some! It had plenty of space and everyone appreciated not having to share bedrooms or fight over bathrooms. We really enjoyed eating on the screened in porch, playing in the creek (We watched a snake eat a fish one night) and both fire pits. The cabin is a perfect base camp for adventures in Shenandoah National Park too. Sherilynn was very responsive and answered all our questions. We would definitely stay there again!

This is our second property stay from this host group. We have enjoyed both mountain top locations and truly felt like we could disconnect, relax, and have a few small adventures with our pup. Truly Amazing Views!!!! Clean neutral colors and updated amenities. Easy to find things to cook with. **Also- Shout out to The Italian Job Pizza spot. We had crazy rain which delayed our getting to the house from DC, so we shifted from cooking to ordering in and they delivered!!!!!

We were looking for a cabin, hoping to find a quiet place to rest, relax and recharge in nature. We never dreamed that we would find an authentic 18th century cabin located in the forest on a mountain top - with an excellent view of the surrounding mountains. The inside of the cabin was beautifully furnished as would be expected in colonial Virginia. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend the experience of stepping back in time.

I had a last minute stay at Kelly’s cabin, and it was so peaceful! The surroundings are beautiful and so wonderful to hear the rushing creek next to the cabin. The hot tub was a much needed respite from a very busy week! Beds are comfortable and the cabin is well laid out. I look forward to returning!
