Smoking friendly holiday rentals in Jiménez

Teo, Humberto and Monica could not have been nicer and more helpful during my stay. They have helped me find my way locally. They have helped me with groceries up the stairs and Humberto even built me a needed spice rack. They invite me to go to market with them several times per week. When I requested to be on the top floor so I could be high and up in the canopy they readily facilitated the move. The grounds are amazing. Private and safe from the highway this coffee finca is beautiful. There are lemon, lime, orange and avocado trees and when in season I was invited to use what I needed. The farm roads on the coffee finca offers a quiet place to walk peacefully, safely with quaint but beautiful views of the mountain and country side. Even the cat and dog were welcoming and treated me like family.

Alojamiento ideal para quedarse en viajes largos y a medio camino. Las instalaciones son muy buenas y es un lugar cómodo. Cuando quisimos hacer el check in y out nos comunicamos con el anfitrión sin problema.

Nuestro hospedaje en el aparta de Daniel fue maravilloso, tiene una hermosa vista con balcón para disfrutar. Súper práctico, limpio y con todas las comodidades para una estadía placentera. Daniel nos recibió muy cálido, compartiéndonos mucha información de lugares para comer o como llegar desde el aeropuerto. El aparta tiene muy linda iluminación y ventilación además de estar en un barrio muy tranquilo con plazas cercanas si tenés perro.

Elizabeth has a great little place to stay. It was perfect for me and met all of my expectations. She was responsive to the few questions that came up prior to and during my stay. I would not hesitate to return here in the future.

Wow! Gilberto and Beni's place is a winner! I absolutely loved everything about my stay. The apartment was sparkling clean, the location in the heart of Barrio Chino is unbeatable (so much to explore!), and most importantly, I felt incredibly safe and comfortable. This will definitely be my go-to spot in San José. Book it – you won't be disappointed!

Yury was very helpful and attentive, she is also very knowledgeable about things to do in the area and nearby stores. I had a very pleasant stay and would definitely come back!

Un lugar que volver cada vez que este por San José. La interacción con Fabiola fue perfecta, nos dio las indicaciones claras y nuestra llegada la ubicación fue sin fallo. Estan en una comida. Muy tranquila y con diferentes restaurantes, super mercados y más servicios cerca. Un excelente precio para hospedarse en un hermosa, segura casa. No duden en hospedarse acá Gracias Fabiola.

The place is nice, freshly renovated, spacious with a big attached garage. The garage is low clearance, a big truck/SUV runs tall for this place. A little over priced for the area if you ask me and what the place offers. Looks like the pics, the kitchen has everything you need. The washer is there if you need it. Plenty of TV’s. Lacks furniture and the the very little there is is not comfortable. Beds are a big rough and the couch is super hard. Really wanted to give it 4 stars but you can tell the host is trying and a work in progress. A little over priced if you ask me as well as the area is some of the roughest in San Jose. In a pinch I’d stay here again.

Amazing house right off the road from 32. Perfect place to relax or pass through the zone to limón!

If you are expecting a 5 star hotel do not go here. If you are expecting an experience, amazing food, no AC, cold showers, no iron or hair dryer and an amazing rural farm experience that you will never forget then this is the place to go. Extremely good, honest, hard working people. They feed you almost everything they grow or raise and give you the same food they eat or feed their kids. Mary Luz is an amazing person and a great cook. Plenty of other options available in the area to get a farm experience but if you also want a foodie experience then this place is it. As everyone has said rough roads but we had a good suv and got there in 20 minutes after we turned off highway 32. For some people it may take 45 minutes. Expect to get woken up with birds and roosters making a racket around 5:30 am.

This is a very nice, clean home in a great location. The rental team staff were extremely responsive and helpful. That being said, the listing is not clear on a couple things. It says there is air conditioning....but there is only 1 air conditioner in 1 of the bedrooms. There are ceiling fans in the other bedrooms. The window/doors do not have screens, so if you leave them open for cool breezes, bugs can fly inside. The listing does not mention the extremely loud train that runs right behind the house Monday thru Friday. The train goes by several times each morning starting at 5:30 am and blows its horn 3-4 times as it crosses a nearby street. The house even shakes a little. It will wake you up, so no need for an alarm clock.

Jose‘s place was great. Right on the park which is a popular chill out spot during the weekends. Great coffee shop just below. Great view of the city. It was super clean and Jose was very responsive. Escalante is a super walkable area with great restaurants, if you’re into the foodie scene. It’s a very Hip and artistic area. The nightlife is great too that’s your thing. I would definitely recommend this place .

Nice place. Worth the money

Ricardo is the ideal host. One of the first people to import Egyptian art and crafts to Costa Rica, he is well traveled and brimming with spectacular stories of his travels as well as essential tips of the local area. I bought two alabaster hand carved vases from his store Gifts from the Nile or Regalos del Nilo that I highly recommend visiting on your stay. The space is great. Ample closet space, highly unusual for Costa Rica. His bathroom has hot water, which isn't standard. He has a full size washer and dryer which is a true luxury in Costa Rica. The space is meticulously decorated and designed by Ricardo. Although it doesn't have air conditioning the extra tall cathedral ceilings plus sliding door to balcony in the room keeps it cool enough to sleep comfortably. His cat Cassan and drinking coffee with Ricardo were some of the highlights of my entire trip. I can't recommend this place high enough.

Jairo was a wonderful host for the month that we were there. He is kind, generous and talkative. He loved offering up recommendations and makes great coffee beans. We were within walking distance of the hospital which is exactly what we needed. Some things to keep in mind: the kitchen is very tiny and the city water doesn't run hot. Other than that, a very comfortable stay for the price point.
