A Wonderful Stay with Beautiful Views and Fun Activities Make sure to carefully read the description and be aware of the requirements before booking. We were informed about the water situation and the dog (Very friendly) in advance, but our host, Jennifer, mentioned that some guests had not been. As long as you're comfortable with those details, you're in for a truly awesome stay! Jennifer is a fantastic host—friendly, helpful, and full of great recommendations for places to visit and things to do in the area. The cottage itself offers a variety of activities: paddleboat, stand-up paddleboarding, sauna, BBQ, whirlpool, and of course, the amazing experience of jumping straight into the lake. The view over the lake is absolutely breathtaking. The surrounding area is also very peaceful and scenic—perfect for a relaxing walk. Just a heads-up: during the summer months, there can be quite a few mosquitoes, so bring some repellent!

Very beautiful and cosy place. In the middle of nature off the highway for those looking for peace and quiet. Everything you need for a bonus of coffee, make condiments if they happened to be behind. Beds comfortable and ensure a good sleep.

A cozy and functional cottage is located on the shore of a stunningly beautiful Höytiäinen. The necessary cottage equipment and a good sauna, where we also had great views of the lake. Kalaisa lake served its antimony and its clean water refreshed swimmers. There were also nice dirt roads for jogging and walking. The nearby Pöppökallio and nearby forests attract samoilu. The peace and quiet that crowningly invites us back next summer too! Koli and its surroundings were a great place to day in the right distance. Messaging with Jouni worked well and warmly!

Very traditional and idyllic cabin in the North Karelian wilderness. Pasi was very accommodating and helpful with my stay. The area features a lot of bogs, rivers and lakes, a lot of which are protected habitats. Ilomantsi is also a good destination for several heritage sites. Highly recommended for someone truly interested in nature.

A great moment lived in Ritaa's cottage. She was particuliary welcoming. The cottage is perfectly situated. Canoe are free to use and it is really easy to book the sauna. I tecommend !!!

A neat and very well-equipped cottage. There are grills for all tastes. As a great bonus, a sup-board and a boat, even though these were not collected to use. Koli's services and routes are nearby, and the cottage is in a beautiful location 💯

The cottage is situated at the end of a rough track. Kristiina sends good instructions as the navigator is inaccurate. The view from the cottage is perfect... straight onto Lake Pielinen. There is a large area for use and it feels totally private. The cottage is comfortable and spacious.

We really enjoyed the holiday there. In addition to pure relaxation, there were also plenty of activities that were offered to make the stay as unique as possible. The toboggan run, which is only a few minutes walk away from the house, was a super busy for small and large. With the snowmobile provided, we were able to explore the surroundings and drive through the snowy forests. We had a lot of fun! The highlight was also the ice bathing in the lake after the sauna as well as ice fishing. Many thanks to Arthur and his son for sawing up the hole in the frozen lake😁. Definitely worth an experience! We can only recommend this house from the whole family and assure you they will have a holiday like never before with enough fun and relaxation.

A delightful new cottage that when you came in, it smelled like squeaky clean. Very clean from floor to ceiling, special mention of this. The surroundings were very peaceful and the beautiful lake scenery flooded with every window. A little unfinished in the yard, but it doesn't hurt to stay at all. Everything worked great and we were more than happy with our choice of accommodation.

Very nice place, clean, and bright interior. Big windows looking to the lake, inside sauna, grill barbecue hut next to the small peninsula were the best features. We enjoyed a lot and warmly recommend this place.

This place was a haven of tranquility, nature and beauty. I would give it six stars if I could. Utter relaxation, everything necessary was available, swimming and sauna was pleasant and the decking area was a perfect place to hang out. Also conveniently located to visit Koli, Ruunaa and the other national parks. A big thank you!

Lovely peaceful place, we fell in love! There's no beach and neighbors right next door. The cottage and other spaces were clean and tidy, everything matched the description. The wood sauna benches have a great view of the lake. The outhouse is absolutely charming. Solar power was enough for our needs. We spent a whole week at the cottage, and the peace and quiet of the place just didn't get enough.

We spent Christmas at the cottage with our young child and everything went smoothly. In the kitchen, everything you need, the fireplace brings the atmosphere and the outdoor fire. We still got a tub and sled from the host, which was a lovely addition. All in all, a successful trip.

Perfect stay, the place is unique, like a fairy tale. We were very comfortable, relaxed and recharging. The house is, if anything, better than what is described in the description and photos. The hosts are charming and very attentive. We would have loved to have stayed longer. Our 200% recommendation for those looking for a charming and magical place to relax and unwind!!!
