Waterfront holiday rentals in Kailua-Kona

The apartment was beautiful! The view was exactly as the photo depicted. The place was organized, clean, and was supplied with almost everything and anything we needed. Overall, it was a great place to stay!

This place was perfect for us! The condo was updated, easily accessible, clean and in a great location! AC was perfect after a long warm day. We loved sitting out on the patio every morning and night. It was a quick 4 minute drive to downtown. The host provided lots of great beach gear we used. Joy was also very responsive! We would definitely stay again!

We had the most magical week at Maryanne's home, would 100% recommend - we'll be back! The condo is even better than photos, it's spacious, well furnished and equipped, cozy and has the most amazing view. This has to be one of the best spots on Ali'i drive because you have an unobstructed view of the ocean and you can walk across the street for tacos (every day), and fruit/flower/fresh baked goods on Fri/Sat/Sun -- and a few minutes down the road is Da Poke Shack... so good! It's really easy to jump in the car and head down to Magic Sands for some boogie boarding, our favorite morning activity. We came with our baby and 8 year old and the condo was perfect for our family of four. Although shades are not technically black out, they keep the rooms very dark and we rarely noticed any street noise. Loved the pool and we used the pool table a lot as well. Maryanne has a stocked closet full of beach goodies (snorkels, boogies, etc) as well as tons of beach towels. Overall, amazing!

Super close to the beautiful magic sands beach and only 10 minutes away from manta ray snorkeling which was an amazing experience!!! Nice central spot for all the stops we had planned across the island. Howard was so friendly!

From start to finish, Rex was a communicative, responsive, friendly host. Their condo is spectacular! All the modern amenities, peaceful, and right on the water, with an incredible wrap around lanai, to enjoy breakfast on, and spectacular sunsets. I'd book this gorgeous place in a heartbeat! We had our anniversary here...so perfect! Thanks Rex, for the lovely stay!

Thomas’s house was great! It was clean, comfortable, and beautiful! The kitchen had everything we needed, and we loved having access to the washer and dryer. It fit our family of 5 comfortably, and we appreciated the air conditioning, snorkel gear, and boogie board. There was great snorkeling nearby, and we loved walking across the street to drink our coffee by the ocean every morning! I would definitely stay here again!

We stayed at Betsy’s Airbnb for 8 days and had a fantastic time. The apartment is clean, spacious, and well-organized, with everything you’d need—including a fully equipped kitchen. The location is excellent: restaurants and stores are right next door, and downtown Kona is just a short walk away. The ABC Store is also just a couple of blocks away for convenience. The apartment is directly across from the ocean, offering beautiful views and the relaxing sound of waves. We were lucky to be there during King Kamehameha Day and watched the parade right from the balcony! The bedroom is quiet—we’re light sleepers and had no trouble sleeping. Betsy was a great host—very communicative and helpful. She provided detailed check-in instructions, and when we accidentally left something behind, she went out of her way to mail it back to us. Highly recommended!

We wish we could give this place more than 5 stars because it was beyond what we imagined. We stayed as a family of four and it was the perfect place to be for a nice five days of vacation. There were two bathrooms and two showers as well as two private bedrooms. There is everything you need for comfort, extra blankets and towels to use. On top of that, the washer and dryer in unit was a gem.The kitchen is so well equipped that we cooked without trouble and ate at the dining table with an amazing view of the sea. The water is literally right outside the lanai with nothing blocking your view. We spent most of our time in the living room because of the beautiful ocean view. The location is great with downtown Kona as a 5-10 min drive or a nice stroll. Marta was also so responsive and kind, and had everything organized and instructions detailed down. We would stay here again if we ever visit Big Island again!

We loved our stay right on the beach. It was perfect for our family of 4! We would stay again :)

Peter and Lori are friendly and welcoming and their property is truly lovely -- it is evident that a lot of care, effort and thought goes into to maintaining it. The cottage makes a perfect home base for exploring the area. It is also so pretty and comfortable that you just might want to pick up a pizza, watch some Jeopardy and dream about what it would be like if every Friday evening was that perfect :) Thank you so much Peter & Lori!

This place was beautiful!! The ocean was literally right outside of the house. There was snorkeling gear, boogie boards, and pool noodles provided. It felt really welcoming being here. Regina was quickly responsive to any of my questions or comments as well. Make sure to pack WATER SHOES, the oceans are rock filled. Do not miss visiting 2step beach, which is only about 10 minutes from the house. The house was very comfortable for myself and family. Thank you so much for hosting us Regina, if we come back to Kona we will definitely be looking to stay at your home again! :)

We throughly enjoyed our stay! Pictures simply do not do justice to the stunning views and gorgeous sunsets!! The home is spacious, extremely comfortable, well stocked, and the big island decor was perfect!! Would recommend without hesitation and hope to return again soon.

We had a lovely stay at Mary’s place. The home is nestled in a lush, serene setting and was fully equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable visit. Mary and her property manager were responsive, helpful, and accommodating. We loved relaxing by the pool and taking evening walks to catch the sunset over the ocean at the nearby park. The kitchen was a joy to cook in, and we loved the open-air layout—it felt like a home away from home. Waking up to the sight and sounds of the ocean from the upstairs bedroom is something we’ll miss. Thank you, Mary, for graciously sharing your beautiful space with us! The memories our family made at this home are something we'll always hold dearly.

The house was amazing! The location and the view could not be better. There was plenty of outdoor space and we loved opening the wall of doors to create an open feel to the living space.

Very spendid view and beautiful house. Charlie and Ariya are very kind and responsive. The house is at the bottom and it the drive way is very steep, but we managed to drive safely in a rented GMC. Noted that there weren't curtains to block the light, so if you want to sleep till noon, you'll have to wear sleeping mask. It almost takes 2 hours driving to get to the volcano park, and you probably want to stay in a place closer to save you some time. However, I do recommend this place if you are looking for a longer stay. The pool and hot tub are clean and ready to use, and this place has access to a beautiful beach -- you get to enjoy all these if you have more time to spend here!

We loved this sweet little cottage for the location, size, and accommodation. We had most things at our fingertips and made for a wonderful stay to enjoy our mornings and evenings between excursions. You can easily cook meals at home or walk to nearby establishments. The interior was slightly aged and could use a deep clean but overall fantastic place. Heidi was extremely responsive and was very accommodating. The house came with fun things you could borrow; snorkeling, fishing poles, beach chairs, beach mats & umbrellas, life jackets, handy cooler and picnic tables + chairs. Highly recommended!! We’ll be back :)

We had a great stay. The location was great. We walked to most of the restaurants and attractions.

We had a wonderful week at Jeremy’s condo. It’s well located near the main thoroughfare in Kailua-Kona - walkable to almost all places in the city. Morning walks by the coast were great. Easy parking and access to apt. Condo is clean with a great view and peaceful lanai. Jeremy had great suggestions on things to do which he shared very early that helped us plan our trip. Highly recommend Jeremy’s Kona condo which we used as a base for our Big Island visit.

We only stayed for a couple nights but wish it could have been longer! Perfect location, clean cozy place, and every detail was thought of. Would definitely come back!

Million dollar view indeed! We enjoyed our breakfast and dinner at the lanai overlooking the beautiful sea. Sunsets are spectacular too. Dani is very responsive and provides helpful information. The condo was thoughtfully supplied and tastefully decorated. We loved our stay here!

We had a great time in Michael’s condo. The complex itself could use a bit of updating, but the location of Michael’s unit and the lanai were amazing. Michael had clearly thought of everything guests might need. We made good use of the cooler, chairs, umbrella and boogie boards. We didn’t do serious cooking, but there was everything we could have wished for to accommodate our minimal prep breakfasts and dinners. Air conditioners in The bedroom and living room were great options for keeping things cool, but my preferred way was to keep the sliding doors to the lanai open and use the fans both in the lanai and in the living room area to keep cool air moving. The pool and hot tub were nice to have a few times over a week, but mostly we were in or near the ocean.

Great location. Close to everything. Had everything we needed. Watched surfer surfing every morning. Highlight of the stay, saw a turtle at the beach right in front of the house two mornings in a row.

The place was awesome, and Parnaz was super easy to work with and super responsive. She made us feel special. I'd definitely stay there again.

The condo is so comfortable and well equipped, we actually preferred dining there ,the BBQ area has a stunning ocean view! The lagoon is a great place to swim without having to deal with sand ! We loved the timeless design of the complex and the great views from many locations, you could easily just spend time there relaxing. It's a quick drive to Kailua-Kona for world class shopping and restaurants and in the other direction great beaches and snorkel spots. We wouldn't consider staying anywhere else after being at Casa 125 !
