During the renovation, attempts were made to utilize the vertical space so that the space itself can be enjoyed. The facility is furnished with a blend of modern design and Japanese tradition, creating a charming space for guests. There are also many spaces where families with children can spend a comfortable time, and you can enjoy a comfortable stay that blends tradition and modernity. The three bedrooms have five beds (two of which are double beds). This place used to be one big guesthouse, but during Covid19, I have stopped running the guesthouse and I moved in with my wife and 2 kids. Still I didn't want to give up so I left the good parts. Private cypress bath and renovated rooms and made another entrance for the Guests. So now it is 2 separate house Please check the house rules before you book.

Private Japanese House with Garden

Kumo machiya Kazahaya was all made by woods, we keep the original style. The structure of this villa is つしにかいtsushinikai. Since Edo period, this kind of design was to ensure all the civilians are not stand on 2nd floor to look while the Samurai passing by, so the 2nd floor is short than 1st floor. Another feature of this villa is むしこまどmushikomado. Normally this kind of window on 2nd floor, looks like a cage of bug.
