Unique Alaskan 2 Bed Yurt in Fairy Tale Forest

Try something different and stay in one of our brand new yurts! These comfy accommodations are nestled in the forest in a fairytale atmosphere. This yurt has 2 twin beds, a skylight looking up to the tree canopy, electricity, heater/fan, and shared restroom facilities. A covered pavilion offers several picnic tables, BBQ grill, and a nearby fire pit area. The yurts are truly an Alaskan "glamping" experience. We offer 10% off of glacier and whale cruises. We have bunk bed and queen yurts, too.

The Shire, Alder Grove

The Alder-grove is a lovely custom built yurt nestled up on the hill behind the shire residence surrounded by alder trees and adjacent to a small park. The yurt sports a queen bed, kitchenette, seating area inside and on the personal porch with a wood stove for winter nights and electric infrared heater for cool summer days. You will have a private composting toilet as well as access to the grooming glade that offers running water, a propane heated outdoor shower, and dish washing station.

Cozy Alaska yurt - Full bathroom

Experience the Alaska lifestyle in our cozy, ON-grid yurt. Nestled a short walk up on the hillside, you'll be serenaded by squirrels and watch the trees rustling overhead from your new firm memory foam bed. Far from "roughing it", this yurt has all the amenities: hot and cold running water, electricity, a full kitchen and a full size shower. While there is a composting toilet inside the yurt, if you'd like to stick to a "normal" toilet, there is also a shared restroom near the parking area.

Located only a short distance to the Seward boat harbor and Kenai Fjords national park. The Homer Roundhouse is a perfect lodging choice for a couple, a small family or 4-5 adults. Located on a small road across from the beach yet hidden in town, this first class yurt is wonderful. All modern appliances and conveniences. You'll love it! We only book 3 night minimum stays on our calendar until March 1st then we open our calendar up to fewer days. Please know that there is so much to do and see in the Homer/Kachemak Bay area that 3 nights should always be the preference.

Fiddlehead Yurts

We are not your average getaway. Hidden in the rainforest canopy, spend the afternoon grilling on the porch while watching the eagles fly to and from their nest above the yurt. When your ready to wind down listen to the owls hoot around the fire ring while watching the sunset from exit glacier. A labor of love as my first home, I hope you get a slice of the serenity that comes with unplugging in this magical spot. If you’re lucky you’ll wake up to a moose or two in the pond.

We are now open for the winter season in our large 30 Ft. Yurt. This Yurt can sleep up to 8 guests comfortably. It has (2) private bedrooms, each with a queen bed, a Queen futon couch bed is in the main living area and ( 2) twin chair beds in the main living room area. A large bathroom with shower, sink, and toilet. A full kitchen w/grill but no oven, includes all amenities, BBQ on deck w/ deck chairs, each Yurt has their own fire pit w/ picnic bench.
