I and my family had a very great time staying there. This beautiful house was the best place we had so far. Lovely clean kitchen, big and nice living room, stunning views, two wonderful bedrooms. Everything was so good.

Really lovely flat to stay. We stayed here with our friends and had a lovely time. Lots of books and games around the flat. Good facilities in the kitchen. Amazing view of the mountains! Clear instructions to get into the flat. Definitely going to recommend and come back with family!

This was our first visit to the Lake District and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! The location was perfect for the walking and hiking we did. The deck was a great place to sit with our coffee and the view of Catbells was beautiful! If we come back, this is where I want to stay and I highly recommend it!

Absolutely great find. Provides camp site camping pods and what we went for; fully furnished cottages. We chose the smallest cottage (badgers den) and it was perfect for 2 people and a dog. Great location as a base camp for the lakes. The host is also friendly helpful and a good source of knowledge for the local area. I greatly endorse this place and will be coming back again

This was our second stay at Parkergate. Ullock Pike is a lovely self catering appartment. Very well located, spatious, quiet, and clean. Looking forward to returning!

The room was spotless and comfortable and suited our needs perfectly. We had breakfast in the tea room both mornings and it was delicious with great choices. The nearby pubs were perfect. We loved our stay and I would highly recommend to anyone else, we would love to return. Thank you so much!

This place has beautiful views of Ullswater across the gardens day and night, a comfortable bed, suitably equipped kitchen area, and feels well located for exploring around the local area. We had a lovely few days here getting out in nature, and enjoyed a meal at the Inn on the lake in Glenrriding 15 mins away, and a Sunday dinner at the Brakenrigg pub at the bottom of the road. There’s waterfalls, walks and boat rides all within a short drive, and Matt got in touch via message and email prior to our stay, so we felt there would be communication if there was anything we needed.

A spacious, modern, tastefully furnished, and well-equipped apartment, only a five-minute walk into town, to restaurants, pubs, shops, and a cinema. Private parking is a bonus as is the permit for a visitor space. Books, jigsaws and games supplied for those rainy days and super views over the town’s rooftops to the hills beyond. Hope to return next year to participate in the Lakes Ultrachallenge event again as we had a ten-minute walk to and from the start/finish line.

There were four of us old boys and Lorna's place was just the job. We each had a nice room and there were two bathrooms. The place was spotless. We had a question about the stove which Lorna's bloke answered easily; then we were away with the cooking. One small suggestion would be to have some ice in an eye tray. We truly enjoyed our stay at The Primrose and appreciated that it had everything we needed for a comfortable, relaxing experience. The apartment looked just as shown in the pictures and is situated in a wonderful location. We would gladly recommend it and are looking forward to our next visit.

Had a great couple of days here. Great central location with lots of pubs and places to eat. Easy to drive into The Dales for walks and Heather was a great host. Sweetcorn is a clean and cosy flat on the main road, pub directly next door and one across the road, both dog friendly 🙂. Car park is really close as well which was handy.

What a great place to stay! The apartment was immaculately clean, with great facilities and in a really good location for both the town and exploring the other areas in the Lake District. We spent most of our days out walking and it was the perfect place to come back to. If we return the Lakes in the future which we hope to we would definitely book again.

Really comfortable and quiet apartment right in the centre of Windermere town. Very convenient for shops and restaurants. Very comfortable bed and lovely that it is dog friendly. It was the ideal spot for a weeks visit. Note that there is no parking space with this listing, however we never had any issues getting a parking spot across the street in the evenings, which suited us well as we were out hiking for most of the days anyway. Host was very helpful and responsive.

Great little stay walking distance from the train station. Lovely, quiet home was everything we needed!

Me and Dan had a fantastic stay. We would love to stay again and will be recommending it to family and friends. Such a lovely and peaceful place to stay with fantastic views.

Such a steal last minute booking on a bank holiday, we were so surprised it hadn’t been booked being in such a central location and obviously the hot tub which is always a big swading point for us. The bathroom was absolutely gorgeous. So spacious for 2. The hot tub was a lovely temp with a little cover above us which helped with privacy from other houses and the rain. Though there was a little tear or two in it which meant rain seeped through but this didn’t bother us. We were a little taken back there wasn’t a microwave either but again this wasn’t an issue. Everything was spotless. Round the corner from one of our favourite pubs (the crafty baa) and plenty of food, drink and shops around. Thank you so much for having us, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay xx

Second time at Whitbarrow in Jennifer's flat, we had a great time again.

Lovely place to stay. My partner had a lovely birthday weekend. The views were amazing, the bed was super comfy and the bathtub was incredible! We will definitely be back. 10/10 stay.

We booked this accom very last minute(3hrs before we checked in), and turned out to be a great choice. Having never heard of Whitbarrow Village we did not know what to expect and was very pleased to find this apartment was part of a larger holiday village complex. The apartment was very well kitted out and had all mod cons you would want, some cleaning products and tea/coffee bits,plus a nice outdoor seating area and close access to the pool and games areas. The main reception building was very clean and the pool facilities were fantastic as well as the kids games area & cinema room (9yr old with us). Only a 15 min drive to Keswick or Penrith made it a great location just off the A66 but so peaceful & quiet. Friendly on-site staff and well maintained garden areas. Overall a great little find and will definetly stay at Whitbarrow Village again.

A lovely loft - perfect and just what we needed for our 2 day mini-break. The loft was much bigger than we anticipated so that was a lovely surprise. The little touches were great too - fresh towels, milk, butter, instructions for the hot tub, even some jigsaws for the rainy afternoon. Everything we needed. The outdoor space was so peaceful. Even though we were on the farm’s property, we felt right at home, comfortable and had the privacy we wanted. The neighbours were adorable - cows and their calves! The outdoor space was secure for our two dogs. Plenty of room for them to stretch their legs and play on the grass. Thanks for a great stay!

Jay's Nest it's a great place to stay. Friendly hosts, convenient location, close to the centre of the village and many beautiful walks on the doorstep. Perfect base for those who wish to explore Lake District. The flat has home from home feel. The kitchen has all essentials and no need to wash up, dishwasher does it for you. Clean, working washing machine with dryer if needed. The seating area very cosy with nice views through windows, you can relax after a long day walking. Big bedroom with comfortable bed and plenty of space for storing your gear/clothes etc. Again, super clean, couldn't ask for more. Fair size spotless ensuite with good size shower. Plenty of space to keep what you need in the bathroom. Sadly, due to the weather, we were not able to use the outside area where having a morning coffee or evening drink must be super enjoyable. It was our first time in LD and we will be back to Jay's Nest, that's for sure. Needless to say, we highly recommend Jay's Nest!

What a truly wonderful little place, there is so much to do for the kids and my two really did enjoy it! The apartment was absolutely stunning, spotless and also very spacious. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to book a trip away to the lakes be it with children or without. We will definitely be coming back!
