Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Kill Devil Hills

It was a great experience, if I’m ever back in the area I would definitely book this place again.

Brian’s place was absolutely fantastic! The walk to the beach was quick and easy, and there were plenty of little shops and fun things to do just a short stroll away. While you do have to cross a highway, it’s nothing to worry about as it has a safe, convenient walkway that made it no problem at all, even with our kids. We stayed with four children ranging from 1 to 11 years old and had zero issues. In fact, the kids kept asking if we really had to leave and begged to stay longer which is always a good sign! The house itself was cozy and comfortable, and the deck was a great spot to relax. The huge backyard was a total hit with the kids. It’s private and gave us peace of mind to let them play with toys outside while we grilled or hung out inside. Brian was incredibly responsive and kind, and he even shared some great local, kid-friendly recommendations, which meant a lot since it was our first time visiting the OBX. Michael was an excellent host. The place was exactly as described. It has a beautiful fenced yard where our dogs were able to run when we were home. Very short walk to a clean, gorgeous beach. The house is comfortable and has all of the amenities we needed for our stay. The restaurant across the street had great food and cocktails, and we were only a short drive to anything in Duck or Corolla. I also cannot thank Michael enough for his communicativeness and understanding when we made a scheduling snafu. Truly an MVP. We would love to stay here again in the future and highly recommend Lowood Cottage.

Overall, this was a great vacation spot. Hosts were great! House was great! We had a small inconvenience with three people coming the first day to service different parts of the house, but once addressed the host’s accommodated our requests well. Location is nice!

Had a great stay. Beth really made sure we had everything we needed. Fully stocked kitchen, beach towels, dog crate and bowls and much more. She is very helpful and truly ensures your stay is a great one. The location is great. In a great neighborhood to go for walks along the sound and sound access. A short drive to the beach (Can also walk but have to cross a very busy road) and one minute away from a grocery store. Definitely the best host I’ve had. Loved that the house is truly pet friendly. Highly recommend this place for anyone bringing their dog.

My boyfriend and I had a great time here! Very peaceful and quiet and an easy drive to restaurants and the beach. Super close to Jockey Ridge State Park. The bed was very comfortable and the space was great for two.

Such a cute place and very accommodating. Close location to everything! Permanent guests were very kind and polite.

We enjoyed our stay here. The house is organized and so clean. I love the little things that the host have for the guests like sound machines and boardgames which is very thoughtful. They also very responsive and friendly whenever we reach out to them.

We had such a great visit staying with Kristy! It was like staying with a family friend- she was so flexible with our late check-in, she was welcoming and accommodating. She had great recommendations for places to check out and even offered us beach extras like umbrellas, blankets, surfboards, and more. She made us feel right at home from the minute we arrived! The place is exactly as described. Even though it’s attached to her home, the apartment is completely separate with its own entrance. You get a full size fridge, basic kitchen amenities, a comfy bed and even an extra trundle bed which is new! It was less than a 3 min drive to the beach which was so convenient, and surrounded by fun shops, restaurants, coffee shops, and grocery stores. We would definitely return!

The home was clean and instructions were very easy to follow. Since we were looking for a peaceful location on this trip, it fit the bill. The view was worth the cost. We knew there would be others around, as it was described accurately and clearly as a condo community. Supplies were very sufficient for us, and the owners were responsive. Enjoyed this trip!
