Sora is located within the APPI Snow Mountain Resort area, just 2 minutes by car to the slopes and 5 minutes to the golf course. At the same time, you can access the bustling city of Morioka in just 60 minutes by car, making it a very convenient base for sightseeing in the three prefectures of Iwate, Aomori, and Akita in the Northeast. We recommend using a private vehicle to enjoy a relaxing vacation. The APPI Snow Mountain Resort area has shops, restaurants, and convenience stores, and there is also a supermarket about 20 minutes away by car. There are also great hot spring areas such as Matsukawa Onsen, and Hachimantai Ski Resort and Shimokura Ski Resort are also nearby. Also, by car, it is 10 minutes to Tohoku Expressway, Aomori Interchange, and 15 minutes to the ferry terminal, so it is also convenient for those who take the ferry to Hokkaido.
