Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Lake Hickory

We had a beautiful stay at the BEE-N-BEE! The home was spotless and nestled in a peaceful, mountain setting with tall trees and fresh, clean air. We loved walking across the street to the honey store — our daughter enjoyed the animals and playground, and the honey was delicious. The owners were incredibly kind and hospitable, and there’s a meaningful mission behind the property that made our stay even more special. It’s close to Boone and Valle Crucis but still felt like a quiet escape. We expected road noise but hardly heard a thing. Sunrise and sunset over the ridges were stunning. The porch was a favorite — mosquito-free with rocking chairs and soft lights that made it feel magical. The kitchen had everything we needed, and it was amazing knowing honey is processed right behind the home. We’d absolutely stay again — 5 stars all around!

The house was great and there’s plenty of space, if there was anything we needed Skylar was responsive and good with communication. We will definitely be staying again.

We loved this Airbnb and will definitely stay here again when we are in the area. It was clean, tastefully decorated and the beds were comfortable. Preston was very responsive. The landscaping was beautiful. Gardenia bushes were in full bloom. Just a great place for a getaway!

This house was a perfect spot for our trip to Boone. It had everything we needed for our baby and kids as well as our dog! Ian was responsive when we had questions about the house. We absolutely come back here for our next visit to Boone!

If you think to yourself I wonder if this air bnb has xyz it does. The host is very proactive in having anything you might need at your fingertips. The kitchen is very well stocked any quality items. You might ask yourself - will I be able to hear cars in the road? And to be honest we hardly even noticed them. Having noise machines in each room was also a nice touch. We loved that it was close to Tweetsie and Blowing Rock. If you have kids you gotta check out the memorial park in downtown Blowing Rock. Our kids played there almost everyday after dinner.

My husband and I were able to bring our 2 dogs on a little honeymoon to Blue Spruce and it was so peaceful and relaxing! Since it is roughly 20 minutes to just get out of the community to any local stores it makes you feel okay to chill at the house and have some much needed lazy time! The community is great to walk the dogs around with winding roads and hills making for a good workout without even having to go somewhere to hike! Plus the hot tub was such a nice way to unwind each evening! That was our favorite part! If you’re taking your dogs check out the Boone humane society dog park-it was great! Connie was extremely responsive and friendly from the beginning! I loved the guide to answer any and all questions about our stay! Genius! The whole trip went so smoothly thanks to Connie 😊

We had a wonderful stay at Matt’s cabin! The cabin was clean, cozy, and perfectly suited for our getaway. Great peaceful place to stay. We had an absolute blast while we were there. It is absolutely beautiful. Lance was a great host and made you feel right at home. You would never even know he was there if he hadn’t come out and met you the place is absolutely beautiful if you’re looking for a peaceful place to stay, you can’t go wrong staying here. It is beautiful. Words can’t describe how beautiful it was there and what was even more amazing two jets flew right over where we were staying at at a very low altitude. I meant words can’t describe when you see that and also the wildlife was everywhere. A deer walked up within 20 feet of us. We loved our stay and we were going back in October.

We had a wonderful time looking out over the rolling hills, feeding the horses carrots. Enjoyed the pool the whole trip was a win would go back and stay with Suzanne again , very nice person and a lovely home

Best airbnb experience so far! recommended to everyone summering in the area, but especially equestrians! Its perfectly close to TIEC and the pool makes the stale heat bearable! The place was even better than described!! The hosts thought of everything to make the stay awesome!! The pool was incredible, seeing the horses, quiet & peaceful!! I loved the box fan as Im hot natured and friends are not so I got to be nice & chilly! They literally think of everything for their guests!!i hope when take my son to hiddenite that they have room as it was the best experience!!

I loved this place. Super cute decor inside with big beautiful windows to see the water. The deck was my favorite place to sit and enjoy the view, and peace and quiet!

After Hurricane Helen damaged my home, my insurance placed me in Ron’s property and it turned out to be one of the best experiences I’ve had. The home is immaculate, beautifully designed, and fully stocked with everything from cleaning supplies to spices. It truly felt like home. Ron is incredibly kind, responsive, and attentive. He replaced a driveway light and changed the BBQ gas the same day I mentioned them. The house is pet-friendly, which was a huge plus for my daughters, our dog, and our cat. The hot tub, pool table, dart board, and lakefront setting made every day peaceful and fun. It’s rare to find a place this clean, cozy, and well cared for, with hosts who genuinely go above and beyond. We’re so grateful for the comfort and joy this stay brought us during a difficult time. This is a hidden gem I’d recommend to anyone without hesitation. Thank you, Ron, for everything!

Walter gave us an amazing place to stay for our anniversary weekend. Very secluded and private, which is something we were looking for. We felt right at home when we walked in and wish we could take this cabin back home. Everything was very tidy, well organized and we didn’t have to go looking for anything. We didn’t get to use the fire pit because it rained a majority of the weekend, which we were bummed about, but that didn’t stop us from sitting outside and listening to the sound of the river, rain and frogs. Very peaceful! Being so close to the river it made it very easy and quick to run down and throw a few casts in the river. Thank you Walter for the very comfortable stay. This place is on our list of places to hopefully return to!

always a nice stay at Lake Watauga, Karen's place is clean and comfortable, lots of stairs down to the dock but we don't mind, very private cove to enjoy

I want to say this place was so at home. I felt we were in cabin and being rural, at the same time so close to whatever we needed. the surrounding was absolutely breathtaking. The cabin was so clean and equipped. My son loved the fact he could stay in loft by himself, and still being close to us. we loved to hear birds, and rooster singing around and we also meet some locals and neighbors; very friendly. Robin and Jay were so kind when I needed to talk to them and John helped me to find the local event, even though we didn't go (we had so much fun just being at cabin). Overall we loved, loved it and loved it. Thank you Robin and Jay for creating such a lovely place to stay in; felt so at home. Sarah, Jay and Benjamin
