Holiday rentals with a kayak in Lake Murray

We loved this house and will be looking to come back again. Really had a great time fishing and looking at the water and the house was so very peaceful. We had a wonderful time.

Our family had a very enjoyable stay. We felt right at home and loved the easy access to the lake. We appreciated the use of the kayaks, paddle board, and fishing poles. The host was friendly and responsive. We hope to return.

Kelly's place on the lake is beautiful. If you are looking for a weekend on the lake, this location is perfect. We were here for a wedding and Kelly was extremely responsive. She is a great host.

Can’t say enough good things about the place. My kids had a blast (almost 6 and 8). When i say they loved it, the LOVED it. The TV “room” upstairs is to die for. Must be a 100 inch tv on the wall. The pool is amazing, hot tub, pool table for the adults, awesome dock (neighbors that can deliver a boat for rent right next door - also super friendly) and great little arcade game set up (my son became quite infatuated with the golf game). Bonus to get to bring my pup who also enjoyed. Truly can’t say enough good things about this place. Plenty of beds (especially if your spouse leaves his CPAP at home). Could easily fit 2 families of 4/5 very comfortably. 10/10. Kids were ready to move.

The house is a quaint little place just the right size. I only had three total individuals staying but would have fit six with no problem. The house had all the amenities needed, the kitchen is well stocked with everything needed, the bathrooms were spotless, and the entire house was very clean. We enjoyed the peace and quiet of the area, launching my boat was a breeze with the nice deep boat ramp. The dock is nice and in 10 feet of water. We enjoyed our stay very much and look forward to staying in the future.

Everything about my stay was wonderful. Wish I could’ve stayed longer. Jesse’s communication was great, the home was comfortable and clean, and the lake was beautiful. The location is quiet and feels secluded, but about a mile away you have all the amenities of town (grocery, restaurants, gas, etc). Everything was exactly as described, and made for a perfect couple days away. Thank you!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the host were always engaged and very responsive. The lake access and views were excellent. We will be back soon for an extended stay to see family and friends. Thank you for such a great experience.

The stay was great!!

Great place! Very clean and well appointed with everything we needed. The location is beautiful and peaceful. We stayed 6 nights and loved every minute. The outside screened room is spacious and such a perfect place to hang out. I work remotely and that is where I set up my work station and worked every day. The view made the work day more enjoyable. The internet connection was strong and fast making it easy to work remotely. If we ever need a place to stay on Lake Murray again, we will definitely seek out Carlos' place

Amber was extremely nice and very helpful! We had some issues finding a place and when we came to their place online she was accepting us last minute since we drove 8 hrs from home ! We had some issues while staying there with the WiFi and their was small other things but the big picture was it was peaceful and a place to lay our heads in a time of need! The lake was beautiful and the place was decorated also beautifully! The place is a place you can pray and find some healing ! I recommend this place and these owners any time !

Such a beautiful lake home! Highly recommend for anyone wanting to enjoy a peaceful stay in South Carolina. Lake front was beautiful. Fit 6 adults perfectly and host was proactive with the stay. Will be returning.

We enjoyed our stay at Cottage on the Cove. Great location near town and boat ramp. Beautiful views of the lake in a nice quiet neighborhood. We would definitely stay again.

We were very pleased with our stay at the cottage. Everything matched the listing perfectly. The hosts provided a helpful book with information and local suggestions, which was great for those unfamiliar with the area. The location was fantastic. The view from the screened porch was stunning and peaceful throughout the day. We enjoyed watching the beautiful geese during our stay. The deck and boat launch were excellent, especially for my husband who was participating in a fishing tournament. Both were in great condition. We had a lot of fun using the kayaks. We're already looking forward to our next visit. No disappointments at all!

Had a great stay. Tira was extremely responsive and went out of her way to help when we ran into personal issues. The property was quiet and tucked away off the beaten path. Overall great time for Thanksgiving.

great little place super quiet

This was our second stay at the lake house. it is a wonderfully peaceful place. Hoping we can stay there again next year.

We were in Chapin visiting family (my husband, me and our adult son) so we didn't spend much time at the cabin. We did love our two mornings and evenings at the cabin. The setting is peaceful and we loved sitting on the front porch and enjoying the views. The music system was a real treat, too. We wished we'd had more time to use the kayaks but, in any case, we view these as a big plus. The cabin has great character and has been renovated beautifully. We felt very fortunate to find this special place. We were not able to meet Tom and Laura but they provided clear instructions and we had everything we needed. The place may have been a bit tight if our adult daughter had joined us but we would have found a way to make it work. Highly recommend.

We had a great time on Lake Murray and it was perfect for our weeklong getaway. PMI did a great job in getting us everything that we needed. The kayaks and paddleboat seemed like they had not been used in quite some time and were pretty dirty. We used the double kayak after cleaning it off and it worked great. There was a good selection of life jackets, but none were large or extra large. I was able to make do with the standard orange lifejacket that just fits around your neck. The house had a lot of yard games and things to do outside. We were a little hesitant with the shower situation because there is only an outdoor shower for the house. After using it once, it was not an issue. It feels very private and secure while taking a shower. The bugs were really bad while we were there, but we realize this is not something PMI can control. Just a fair warning to future guests. This was mentioned in the info binder as well. These things would not stop us from staying again! Overall GREAT!

We had a terrific time at the cottage on Lake Murray! The house was exactly as expected—clean, cozy, and perfect for our family of five. While the kitchen is small, it has everything you need to cook meals at home. The dock was a highlight—we caught fish every evening with bait from the nearby gas station. The location is ideal. I took long walks through the state park and always felt safe, even without much of a shoulder on the road. The kayaks and paddleboards were the stars of the week—my kids and I had a blast on the water every day. This was our second time renting from Theresa, and once again, she proved to be a wonderful host—responsive, helpful, and full of great suggestions. The week was restorative, relaxing, and well worth the stay. Looking forward to coming back again!

My fiancé and I had a wonderful time! Our only issue was the rainy weather followed us from home (NC) to our stay at Jon’s (SC)…obviously this has no bearing on Jon or his place, it was just our bad luck. We had plenty of time to relax indoors and sit on the dock under the shelter. The views were spectacular and the environment was peaceful and relaxing. The local cuisine was delicious, especially the South Shore Grill and Grocery. We will definitely stay at Jon’s again and we highly recommend.
