Our place is close to beautiful meadows and hills, ideal for relaxing, hiking, going offline.... You'll love our Lydi-Hütt' because of the location, because of the little something extra, and the surroundings of our beautiful Vogelsberg. My place is good for couples, solo travelers, families (with kids), and dogs. The renovated half-timbered house is located in the hamlet of Schmitten. A hamlet is a very small residential development with approx. 10 houses. Pure idyll.

You can make full use of all rooms with kitchen and bathroom. Nearby you will find great hiking routes, reservoirs, Europe's largest extinct volcano and even a swimming pool nearby on foot. A thermal bath with salt grotto is 13 km away (Bad Salzhausen).

More than 20 years ago we bought the Sheikh House, a single house in the beautiful volcanic region of Vogelsberg. In the past, the farmhouse consisted of a dwelling house, a stable and the barn. We both worked in tourism and managed a holiday village for a long time. When we retired, we decided: This is not possible without guests! We have always dreamed of remodeling the old barn of our house – and now was just the right time.
