In the heart of the Volcanoes Nature Park, our typical Cantal house is located at an altitude of 1000 m, in the hamlet of Buge in Lavigerie. The accommodation (90 m2) is cozy and authentic, well heated and very well equipped. On the ground floor: entrance hall with toilet, large L-shaped open room with wood-burning stove, kitchen, and south-facing living/dining room. Upstairs: 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom with bathtub. Ideal for hikers, the cottage is on the GR400 (Tour des Monts du Cantal) and on Via Arverna (Chemin de Compostela). There is another gite with independent entrance upstairs. The hamlet is on the side of the mountain, the cottage is semi-buried and has a glass door and 2 small windows.
