My family and I really enjoyed our stay here! It was walkable to the downtown area and harbour, but also quiet at night and not too busy. It was an easy ride from the airport and the location is also very close to the highway so it’s easy to head to the beach or other towns! Also good local bakeries and gyros in the area! :)

Spacious, pleasant and well-equipped apartment. Evangelos is responsive and welcoming. The proximity of the airport is very appreciable for an early morning departure.

The apartment is super well equipped, everything is brand new and exactly as in the pictures. We especially loved the location - close to anywhere you want to go but still in a quiet residential street. No bars or noisy tourists on that street. The hosts were super responsive and helpful. Highly recommended!

Our stay at Katerina’s place was nothing short of perfect! She is a great host, very kind and helpful, the place is stunning, with a beautiful view of the sea and walking distance to the beach. We felt right at home, the apartment was spotless and we immediately fell in love with her dog Marcos, so adorable! I would definitely come back asap. Thank you!

We loved starting at Stavrianna’s place! This apartment was so nice and felt luxurious as it was recently updated. It had everything we needed-kitchen, washing machine. Very walkable part of the city. It can be a little noisy on the weekends, but there were earplugs provided for light sleepers. It never kept me up, but my partner is a light sleeper and used the ear plugs. Stavrianna was also a super communicative and helpful host! She helped us extend our booking because we just weren’t ready to leave! Lots of museums, shopping and restaurants in the area! Would highly recommend this place and would stay here again!

Such a lovely stay!!!! Mareike and Georgios was extremely helpful they organised a taxi for me and picked up in the little village since my husband was coming later with our car. The place was very peaceful and private. I thought there would be a restaurant but honestly it’s a good thing on the location there isn’t one because it made it very peaceful that a restaurant was not next door. Georgios even organised a BBQ for us which was a highlight that we could just BBQ at home. They were extremely helpful and provided us with loads of local recommendations. I would come back any day!!!!!

We had an absolutely fantastic time at the villa. The kids had the best time swimming, playing football and tennis, bouncing on the trampoline etc. it was great having so much for them to do at the house so we didn’t have to worry about taking them out when they needed to burn off some energy. This meant the adults could really relax and enjoy their time too. The house is well located, 10-15 minute drive to most places you want to be, supermarket less than 10mins away. Markos was really helpful, met us at the villa when we arrived and gave us loads of recommendations for local restaurants and activities. The place was perfect, we would love to come back!

We had a wonderful stay at the villa, starting with a warm welcome on our first night. Antonis’ mother kindly prepared a thoughtful dinner for us, which was especially appreciated since we arrived late and didn’t have time to go out for food. He was also incredibly attentive and made it clear we could reach out to him anytime with questions or needs. Throughout our stay, he provided us with great recommendations on what to see and do in the area, which really enhanced our trip. The villa also featured a lovely outdoor pizza oven, and they generously provided us with pizza dough, firewood, and everything we needed to enjoy it. They even made sure we had everything we needed for a barbecue. Overall, it was a fantastic experience thanks to their hospitality and thoughtful touches.

Nikos was an out standing host - the property was second to none - really pleased I stayed - if I ever go back to Crete, I will definitely stay at this property - thanks again Nikos for being so friendly and helpful, bo5h you and your wife - by far the best Airbnb I've ever stayed at.

We had a super time with Stefani and Antonis. The villa is super, the pool was warm, the area quiet, and the view down to Herssonios and out right to the mountains was lovely. We chose it because it was walking distance to some shops and restaurants. The village is lovely and a short 5-10min walk from the villa. We were at the very end of the season, so many of the restaurants in the village closed, but we always found somewhere to eat. Herssonios is a longer walk away (maybe 30 mins) and has supermarkets, pharmacies, and restaurants galore, even after the season ended. We found the walk downhill to the town, and back uphill to the village fine, even with 2 kids. Herssonios itself didn’t hold much charm for us, but we found a taxi to Agios Nikolas (delightful), Heraklion’s museum (more engaging for us than the Athens archeological museum), and Rethimno (lovely old town, laneway cafes, long stretch of beach) filled enough of our days. And with a heated pool to return to, no complaints.

What a great stay this was! everything matched the description. the host is a great nice guest! we arrived hours before the check in time and was wondering if we could check in early and this was not a problem at all! it is a must to rent a car and the host had connections for that! for a reasonable price the car was even taken to the airbnb and we could drop it off again at the airport. (thanks Nikos) Stavros also gave us a list of all kinds of places we could go, such as beautiful beaches, the beautiful waterfall and nice tents to eat. We also experienced a powerful earthquake, after which the host immediately sent a message to see if everything was okay with us. Highly recommended! Thanks Stavros 🙂🙏

Lovely place to stay just out of the busy town is Rethymno. It looked exactly like the pictures, and Manolis always responded to our messages very quickly. Supermarkets, free parking and a pharmacy are nearby which was perfect!

We had a wonderful week staying in Michalis’ apartment. Views from both balconies from Apartment Two were spectacular, panoramic of the Amari Valley and Mount Ida still snow capped in the background. The apartment was immaculate and suited our needs very well. Any additional requests were dealt with swiftly. We mainly catered for ourselves in the morning and had two lovely breakfasts in Michalis’ Taverna. Meronas is a pretty village and enjoyed meals at Taverna’s Alona & Moschovolies. There was great hiking from the doorstep and only a short drive to Patsos Gorge. There is an excellent patisserie and supermarket in Gerikari a short drive away and supermarkets and pharmacy in Agia Fotini, 2.5 km away. We stayed end of April which was great as not too hot to hike but be aware many Taverna’s closed this time of year as off season. Would highly recommend a stay at Michalis’ apartments, another unforgettable holiday for us!

Katrina’s place was very well designed with a flair of modern touches and elegant finishes. we loved how every area was functional - including the patio. Inside, the bedrooms were well designed and had comfortable beds. Kitchen was stocked with coffee pods and other basics. It also had filter water. overall our stay was very short and we could not enjoy all the amenities, we were hoping we had stayed longer.

Maria is a wonderful host. I enjoyed her place, the area and the culture of Crete. I will definitely be coming back.

Me and my friends had an amazing time at Dominico’s place ! The instructions to get to the Airbnb were very clear and the place was clean and ready to welcome us. Our host was always there to help or answer our questions. Definitely worth the money and would recommend to anyone !

Comfortable stay at the top of Heraklion! Great sunset views, quiet in the evening, AC that works, and laundry access. Would stay here again.

Eleni was so helpful and responsive during our stay! The apartment is accurately presented and comfortable. The supermarket is nearby with everything we needed. We were six adults and managed fine. Getting luggage up two floors is a challenge, so be aware. Air conditioning worked well, laundry worked well. Linens and towels very comfortable. Kitchen is well-equipped. The whole place was very clean. Location is a short taxi ride to museums and city center. Thank you, Eleni!

Place was pristine,great bathrooms with lots of hot water. In a quiet neighborhood.Our host helped us get transportation to the ferry.Would definitely stay again!!

Our family of 5 enjoyed our stay and didn't want to leave. This is one place that was better than the photos. There are a few rules such as take off your shoes, be mindful of water usage and electricity although none of these bothered us as we have family that live on well water in Texas. The location is very walkable about 15 minutes to city center and helps us with all the food we eat on vacation. Great place if you plan on being in Heraklion and highly recommend a stay
