Take a boat, or walk to Torno to find a bar, cafe, shop, and restaurants. Como is a short drive, and public transport is close by. L' appartamento dista km 5 da Como, km 2 da Torno, km 40 da Milano, km 38 da Lugano. E' raggiungibile con i mezzi di trasporto pubblico : gli autobus C30 C31 C32 con partenza ogni ora circa dalla stazione ferroviaria Como San Giovanni , Como Lago Ferrovie Nord o da Piazza Matteotti in direzione Como- Bellagio, impiegano circa 8 min per raggiungere la fermata Blevio - Decorazioni Savio, distante 100 m circa dall' abitazione. Alternativa piacevole al trasporto pubblico tradizionale può essere l'uso dei battelli della navigazione del Lago di Como, con partenza da Piazza Cavour in direzione Torno, da dove camminando per circa 15 min raggiungerete la destinazione. It can be reached by public transport: buses C30 C31 C32 departing approximately every hour from the Como San Giovanni railway station, Como Lago Ferrovie Nord or from Piazza Matteotti towards Como-Bellagio, take about 8 minutes to reach the Blevio stop - Decorations Savio, about 100 m away from the house. A pleasant alternative to traditional public transport may be the use of Lake Como navigation boats, departing from Piazza Cavour in the direction of Torno, from where walking for about 15 minutes you will reach the destination. I ALLOW ME TO STRONGLY RECOMMEND THE SMALLEST AND CHEAPEST CAR, TO MOVE INDEPENDENTLY, AS IN OUR AREA PUBLIC TRANSPORT AND TAXIS ARE NOT COFORTABLE Villa Pasta The villa was built in the early XIX cen- tury and was bought in 1830 by the famous opera singer Giuditta Pasta hosting space for its several guests. In the park the fol lowing built: the studio painting of Clelia, Giuditta's daughter, who attended the Brera Academy in Milan; the cafe-house, a small cave to cool in the summer; the wooden theater where Giuditta practised singing. Captain Wilhelm Locke, grandson of the famous philosopher, drowned in front of his wife and other guests in the lake area in front of the villa. Later his daughter erected a gravestone in his memory. In the small ceme- tery of Blevio it is possible to visit the grave of Giuditta Pasta who died in 1865.

Our Stay was fantastic, the staff were very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. We booked the picnic which was superb and the setting was amazing. We also hired the electric bikes and had a breakfast on our last morning in the courtyard looking out at the scenery. To sum it up if you want a peaceful, relaxing, scenic and historic place to stay close to Verona this is perfect. And don't forget the important bit.....the amazing wine

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt! Die Unterkunft liegt in einer traumhaft ruhigen Lage, etwas abgeschottet vom Trubel, was wir als sehr angenehm empfunden haben. Die Aussicht war entspannt und die Umgebung ideal, um abzuschalten und zur Ruhe zu kommen. Die Familie war sehr gastfreundlich und herzlich, wir haben uns direkt willkommen gefühlt. Die Unterkunft ist privat und gemütlich, genau das Richtige für alle, die eine Auszeit vom Alltag suchen. Die Lage war insgesamt gut, aber man sollte auf jeden Fall ein Auto dabei haben, um flexibel zu sein und die Umgebung erkunden zu können. Alles in allem ein rundum gelungener Aufenthalt absolut empfehlenswert!
