Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Madeira Island

Luis was a great host and always quick to reach. The accommodation was superbly equipped for a longer stay (12 nights) and more than large enough for two people. The view from the terrace is really nice and Calheta as an adjacent place as well. The only drawback: due to the location, there is immense humidity. The windows in the bedroom looked like the glass walls of a freshly used shower in the morning. Towels got a musty smell after repeated use and the apartment itself smelled musty if it was not freshly ventilated. Of course, Luis can't do anything about that as a host. Nevertheless, we always felt very comfortable.

If you want a more authentic/meet friendly local farmers/quiet and extremely awesome host experience. This is it !!! Seriously never encountered a more welcoming experience. The eggs, the cake and fruit that welcomed us was amazing and unexpected. The cleanliness and washer / dryer and all the needed details were covered. Fantastic place at a great price. So many spaces to enjoy. Pristine condition. We really enjoyed the local restaurants and bars up the hill, amazing atmosphere. Very close to main roads so day trips are easy. Carlos was the perfect host, so many local recommendations and information. He was flexible when we wanted to check in some hours earlier than agreed. All the different keys were a bit confusing but otherwise loved the place.

Beautiful house. The driveway is easy to miss if you're not paying close attention the first time. Well equipped kitchen. Next to a walking trail by the sea. Well situated to drive to other attractions around the island. Fanal forest, P Moniz, Santana, PR16, were not far away.

The house was a wonderful place for us and our family. Plenty of room and the kitchen was very well equipped. The view was spectacular and the pool and patio were an excellent spot to relax.

This was a delightful place to stay. Very private and so many facilities for a small place. Beautiful views, swimming pool and honesty bar. A total hidden gem.

We really liked the apartment, it is just like in the photos and we had everything we needed. The hosts were lovely and very welcoming. Everything was clean and comfortable, and we had a private parking. They even left us some homemade cookies, fresh eggs from the garden, and bananas. Highly recommended!

The house is beautiful, clean and spacious. We really felt at home there. Highly recommend the terrace for breakfasts or dinners. The house is in a quiet area, which we enjoyed.

it was a really very nice big house with a paradisical balcony and a magnificent view over the whole village at less than 300 meters high. You have to have a car very clearly,otherwise it could be problematic. It actually gets cold at night and in the morning, but there are at least mobile heating devices in the apartment. Unfortunately, we also noticed cockroaches in the direct reference, but after we removed 5 pieces, we didn't have a problem with it anymore

We had a pleasant stay at Ivone and Garry's. The apartment has an amazing view of the sea and everything you need. We will definitely come back for a future stay in Madeira!

Quiet, comfortable Airbnb with everything we needed for our stay - located in the most surreal surroundings. Will struggle to find better in this part of Madeira. The terrace is an absolute gem - highly recommend

Really nice place in a great location. It was clean, had all the necessary amenities, and the hosts were super friendly and supportive throughout our stay. The only minor downsides were that it was a bit tricky to find at first, and the shower temperature fluctuated a bit. Nothing major though—overall, a very pleasant stay. Would definitely recommend!

The hosts were super responsive and amazingly offered us an earlier check-in time as their cleaning had finished earlier that day. The place was spotless and well stocked with everything you'd need to feel at home and having a dishwasher & washing/drying facilities made things feel so relaxed and the BBQ & hot tube was great to have for the evenings. The view was beautiful, and the house was a perfect size and location for a little romantic getaway. It isn't a long journey to get to areas like Funchal or Porto Monis, and there's a large number of PR walks nearby, too.

If you are going to stay in Madeira , this is one of the nicest places you can stay in. The setting of this home is beautiful, and is located in a very pretty town with some great choices of restaurants and bars. The terrace has a stunning view and the kitchen space has everything you need for cooking should you want to do that. Bed is really comfy after days of exploring. We managed to park in the car park in the town every day - feels a hire car is a great asset in Madeira. Alessio is extremely friendly and makes you feel right at home when you arrive.

We had a wonderful stay at this apartment! José went above and beyond to make our visit as smooth and comfortable as possible. We made a last-minute booking and afterwards made a request for a baby cot, and they managed to find one for us within just a few hours- something we truly appreciated as traveling with a little one isn’t always easy. Communication was excellent throughout our stay; the host was incredibly responsive, friendly, and helpful with every question we had. The apartment itself was clean, well-equipped, and exactly as described. Would absolutely recommend this place and would love to stay again. Thank you for the great hospitality!

Nice apartment in a nice place! Half way to the beach, half way to the mountins. Shop is quite close and the bar/restaurant just downstairs (but not noisy one). Would recommend!!!

We had a lovely stay in this accomodation. It was nice to explore an area outside of Funchal and was a good base to explore around the island. The place was very clean and the view was stunning. The hosts were very kind and friendly at both check in and check out. I would highly recommend!

I absolutely loved staying here. The photos do not do the place justice. It really is a beautiful house. It’s so very quiet there too. I loved being in the garden to do yoga on the platform, surrounded by plants. The hosts added so many little touches that were really appreciated- plenty of soap, herbs in the cupboard, a bottle of wine, books ….. I really did not want to leave. There are not many beautiful, very quiet places to stay. We were only 15 minutes from Funchal!

The view was absolutely stunning, and the pool quickly became one of our favorite features. It truly felt like a home away from home. Communication with the hosts was smooth and pleasant throughout. Karol place is definitely a home away home, you relax soon as you step through the door. Very peaceful which is what we like. But also not far from anything. Communication with Karol was great. The lavada walks that start about 2 min up from the villa are definitely worth a stroll, one will take you to Panoest cafe and the other way to Bar Do Papagaio.

Amazing location, Villa and View! All kept to a very high standard. If you are above 6ft just watch out for some of the chandeliers!

Our stay at Rui's home in Faja Da Ovelha was beyond our expectations. If you are looking for a more secluded stay with views of your own this is the place. It's located not far from various hikes and you are just a small drive from areas like Sexial, natural pools, and the black sand beach. The cat was a much welcomed friend during our stay, we looked forward to seeing her each morning. We actually eloped during this stay right in the lower garden of the Airbnb, it was such a special day with a stunning backdrop. Rui was so kind to allow us to be able to do this and even brought the gardeners a few days before so everything was pristine. If you are thinking about booking ...do it...you won't regret it.
