Monthly Rentals in Makrades

We had a wonderful stay! The apartment was in a great location for exploring the island and we couldn’t have been happier with everything overall. Thank you for having us.

We really enjoyed our stay in this small village. It was peaceful and quiet. The home was clean and very comfortable. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need. There were also restaurants you could walk to. Spiros and his mom Maria were friendly and helpful.

We had 1 week at this beautiful villa and it exceeded all expectations, the villa was even more beautiful than the photos. The beds are super comfortable and it had all amenities that you needed. When we checked in we were left a huge bowl of fruit, wine coffee and tablets for the dish washer and washing machine. We ate breakfast on the terrace watching the view every morning and could resist a sundowner aperitif every evening in the sun soaking up the view. The outside road was very quiet and the villa is walkable to all beaches and restaurants we particularly enjoyed the dolphin Nicos and Akron beach. It was spotlessly clean and Miriam was very responsive to all queries. We were gutted to leave and would rebook in an instant

The home was a dream! Dawn greeted us with a welcome basket and made us feel right at home. Makrades is a lovely little town nestled in the mountain. We’d recommend getting a car to access the beaches (Agios Georgios and Paleokastritsa beach are a 20 minute drive and gorgeous). If you’re getting a car make sure you’re very comfortable on the roads since there are many large tourist buses and the roads are quite narrow/windy/difficult to navigate. We walked the donkey trail down to the beach one day which took about an hour on the way down and 1.5 hours on the way up (be ready for a serious uphill hike). The golden fox is a 20 minute walk and has a lovely pool. Cafe Veatriki is fantastic and we’d highly recommend the orange cake. Our stay in Makrades was fantastic and we particularly enjoyed grilling on the outdoor patio!
