Cabin holiday rentals in Matanuska Glacier

We had a wonderful time. What a beautiful lake and a wonderful hot tub! The cabin was so homey and had everything we needed. We enjoyed building a fire in the stove and watching movies while overlooking a beautiful lake. We would recommend this cabin and Shanna was very helpful!

Jim’s cabin was immaculate! It comes with every amenity imaginable. Incredible fishing with views of mountains.

Great location for a weekend stay. Easy access to Anchorage (~45 minutes away), Girdwood Restaurants and Shops (~5 minutes away), and great middle point if you want to hike the Kenai or explore Whittier. Easy check-in with lots of amenities like hot tube, laundry on-site, coffee makers, etc.

Loved the cabin! Perfect for me and my two teenage boys in June. Plenty of space for us. Hot tub was magical after a long hike. Location is great - easy 3 min drive or 20 min walk into Girdwood for meals. Would absolutely stay again!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Cozy Cab-Inn. The cabin was perfect for me and my family. The cabin is beautiful and spacious surrounded by the forest and mountains, we were in awe of the views from the upstairs. The location was amazing, you’re close to everything but still feel secluded for that full Alaskan experience. Overall we had an amazing stay and would book this cabin again! Thank you so much!

I could write a novel, and it still wouldn’t capture just how special this AirBnB location is. This was our first trip to Alaska, and we were looking for accommodations that would get us beyond the “big city” environment of Anchorage. We were hoping for immersion in nature and privacy to relax. This cabin was exactly that and more. The shining jewels were its massive deck with a wood-fired hot tub, comfy chairs, and gas fireplace where we enjoyed morning espresso (made ourselves at the cabin!) and evening soaks. The other outstanding feature was the kitchen. Not only were we provided all the spices and basics you’d hope not to have to buy yourself, but we also had access to a range of high-grade pots and pans, an espresso machine with local roast provided prior to check-in, a full stovetop, and an air fryer/toaster oven. We enjoyed a majority of our meals right at the cabin. Michelle was immediately responsive any time we needed anything. Already looking forward to booking again!

Nice place-off the beaten path - loved the river views Rustic but we knew what to expect

Me and my sister loved this place!! I wish we could’ve stayed for longer but our itinerary had to be changed for coordination reasons. Our favorite was the relaxing sauna, which was perfect, and we took a nice bath/jacuzzi with the bath salts that was amazing. I had one of the best sleeps on this trip in the loft bed, which was SO COZY. all the thoughtful details, amenities, and decor were so perfect, I wish I could give this place 10/5 stars!

Everything was perfect! We were really sad to leave this peaceful and beautiful cabin. The view from the property is breathtaking and we felt at home right away!

Debra was so responsive! I booked her place for a much needed emergency stop, due to having car trouble, and she responded immediately. It was a cozy little dry cabin and I got a wonderful, stress reducing sleep! While I spent a majority of my morning attending to repacking my car, I could definitely see the beautiful options surrounding the place (like walkable trails, etc). And what a pristine outhouse!! I don’t think I’ve ever seen one as immaculate as hers. I highly recommend her place, if you’re looking to get away from everything, and see what Alaska is truly all about. Her place will be one of the highlights on my trip out of Alaska 😍

We had a great stay at this cute and cozy cabin! It was very clean, and the communication from the hosts was excellent throughout. One tip for future guests: definitely read the directions provided by the hosts carefully, as we did get lost a couple of times trying to find the place. Once we arrived, everything was smooth and enjoyable. Thank you for hosting us!

An absolutely beautiful cabin! Set up with lots of nice stuff. The lotions smell amazing! Every thing is well designed and put together. Our host was great and communicated with us wonderfully!

Took a boys trip with 3 friends and I selected Susanna’s home as our second choice as our first choice had raised the price of rental. This was easily the best decision we made. Susanna’s home in Wasilla was a prime location for our boys trip as we were able to adventure in any direction and enjoy amazing sights without having to drive an extra hour if you’re staying in downtown Anchorage. I was impressed with all of the amenities offered by Susannas home. The kitchen was very spacious and was stocked with every seasoning we could need. It often became our central gathering area of the house. Another treat to be able to view the Aurora Borealis from the comfort of the outside deck. Huddling around the fire pit was also very calming during these snowy nights. Overall, I would say this home is excellent place for you and your family (or friends) to stay if you want to enjoy the natural beauty of Lower Alaska without having to drive too far. The conspiracy hut was everything we needed and more. It was very clean, spacious, and fully stocked with necessities. Brad was incredibly accommodating. He answered any questions we had in a timely manner and made sure we knew what was available to us (lake toys, grill, fire pit, etc…) A huge selling point for us was the sauna! So relaxing and enjoyable. 10/10 would stay here again! If you’re looking for a fun place to stay in Big Lake - this is it!
