Marlene's cabin was a great place for a weekend away with my girlfriend and our dog. Marlene was very friendly and responsive leading up to the stay and even more so once we were there! The location was great, just a 10 minute drive into town but we really just stayed and relaxed at the cabin because it was so peaceful and quiet. The yard was big and felt private, the cabin was well decorated with comfy couches chairs (and bed). The kitchen was small but stocked with everything you need. Plenty of outdoor seating for grilling and building a fire in the evening (plenty of firewood too!). The chicken coop in the yard was super cool, but don't worry the rooster isn't very loud and didn't bother me (and I'm an notoriously light sleeper). Marlene even left us fresh eggs every morning! Can't say enough nice things about this cabin and Marlene (and her really nice dogs). Definitely recommend this place.

We had a perfect stay here! The home is located in a beautiful, private area directly on the beach of Lake Michigan. The view is amazing, and the inside of the home was even more beautiful in person than in the photos. And we really appreciated only one short page of check-in / check-out information - nothing overly complicated! Other points we were appreciative of: -- Entire home was impeccably clean -- Great variety of cooking equipment, tableware, and utensils in the kitchen -- Kitchen drawers were labeled which made finding things a breeze -- Love the decor with a cozy, coastal feel -- Quality towels & rugs -- Towel hooks in bathrooms & bedrooms -- Great water pressure & temperature -- Patio seating -- Absolutely incredible view -- Great tub -- Fire pit on the beach was very fun -- Huge variety of games and activity books for children, as well as beach toys It was hard to leave! Would definitely stay here again if we ever find ourselves back in the area. Very highly recommend!

It’s almost hard to find the words to explain how perfect our time was at Steffany and Doug’s place! My husband and I loved everything about it. The view is so beautiful. It’s like sitting on top of the lake! It feels like you are at the end of world. Sitting in the hot tub and looking out at the lake is a dream. We watched the sunsets from the hot tub each night and that’s a memory we’ll always cherish! Strongly suggest staying up late to watch the stars. The house itself is so stunning! We felt very at home. The house has everything you need and then some. The view from the living room and kitchen is spectacular. We barely looked at our phones or watched TV, we just sat there and stared out the gorgeous windows if we were inside. The primary bedroom is so perfect. The view from the balcony is dreamy, and the beds are so comfortable throughout the whole house. The owners take wonderful care of the home and it shows. We didn’t want to leave, and can’t wait to go back!

This home was exactly what we needed! I highly recommend a winter stay here! It was peaceful and quiet. We went on walks and were the only ones around. I’m sure in the summer it is a hopping place which would be fine too but the quiet winter retreat was perfect! There is a very well supplied kitchen. We had a nice steak dinner for 7 people one evening and everything needed to pull that off was in the kitchen. Very nice!!

I loved this home! We stayed with my extended family & had a great time. I loved the peaceful, private, safe location. This home is a “better than home” experience which is what I look for in Airbnb’s. I felt like I was on vacation the moment I stepped in. We cooked a few meals and had everything we needed, enjoyed the fire pit, and everything was so clean & nice! Plus I loved that the hosts have air purifiers and reverse osmosis water. Just the little things that make it feel that much more bougie!

This was our first trip with our grandkids aged 2 and 5. The location was great as we had family staying in an owned property nearby and another family in an additional airbnb home nearby as well. There is a lot to do in the area and the location of the house central to everything was great. The home was cozy for the 4 of us and such a better option than a hotel room. Lanette was quick to respond to all of our questions and there is a booklet in the house with area recommendations of things to do. The house was clean and very detailed so that it is easy to find everything needed - even the kitchen cabinets are labeled as to where everything is. Because of being there with other family, we were basically there to sleep and for a light breakfast every day so we didn't use all of her amenities but having them there was appreciated. On our next return visit we will definitely stay again if the house is available.

Everyone in our crew enjoyed their stay here. The location was perfect for an easy drive to the ORV park. Driveway fit our trucks and trailers. You can tell so much thought has gone into making this place a home for everyone. The decor was beautiful. It was very cozy and inviting. Relaxing outside was very peaceful

This was the BEST location and cottage we could have asked for! Great communication from host and such a perfect place for family to gather. Short walk to beach, great fire pit for making smores (a very kind touch with supplies in the host basket), and a peaceful setting on the creek. We would definitely come again!
