Si trova nei pressi del grazioso Borgo Medievale di Pierle, nel quale domina un castello dell'XI secolo. Anticamente utilizzato come essiccatoio per castagne (metato), il piccolo rudere è stato ristrutturato conservando le caratteristiche originali e con una ispirazione data dalle antiche case coloniche toscane tipiche del luogo.
