Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Meschers-sur-Gironde

This is a beautiful place to stay on the banks of the Charente which we enjoyed from the canoe but just loved seeing it flowing along edging the grounds. We came on the train which is a very easy journey from Paris to Jarnac. It is then less than an hours walk along the cycle path or quicker along the very quiet road. The market in Jarnac is excellent and there’s some nice cafes and bars. In Bourg Charente itself the bar tabac sells morning baguette and croissants, especially good to put an order in the day before. Also in the village La Ribaudiere restaurant was absolutely amazing and an experience not to be missed. So this is a great place to stay if you are car free like us but bicycles really help too especially with direct access to the 400 km path La Flow Velo. Lots of fun! Thanks to Andrea and Dominic.

Very pleasant stay in François' beautiful villa, tastefully decorated, very well equipped, with a superb quiet terrace and heated pool. I highly recommend it, ideal for a family stay where young and old have fun at will.

A very nice accommodation in a very nice village, on the edge of the estuary. Very clean, nicely decorated, with an outdoor plancha, a garden, a few chickens (in an enclosure) and a few cats that you will meet at random. Very discreet and very friendly owners. A tavern (Ma zo li) has recently opened just opposite (Thursday to Sunday): possibility of eating grilled meat or fish, mussels on Friday evening, having a drink, in a wooded place. At very affordable prices. The accommodation is ideally located for visiting Meshers, Talmont sur Gironde, Royan, Mornac sur Seudre, Mortagne sur Gironde (port).

we had a very good stay with Framboise. the house is cosy and practical. it is just about 8 minutes by bike to Le Chateaux d'Oleron. bakery and supermarket are not far away. communication with Framboise was easy and quick.

A dreamlike house in the idyll of west France! We had a wonderful time as a family in the beautiful house Colibri in Médis. We are very thankful for Hélène and Delphine being warmly welcoming to us and tremendously friendly, uncomplicated and extremely helpful. Gorgeously located gem in the heart of Cognac, this is a super apartment ideal for enjoying the areas beauty - perfect for long strolls, accessible to Cognac's best eateries and only a stone's throw from the famed distilleries.

Quiet stay in the countryside with background music, river singing. Great for stays in a large tribe. The house is spacious, very well equipped, moreover with taste. Nothing is missing and Tony and his wife are very friendly, available and attentive. Canoes allow a safe walk to discover the environment for all ages.

The house is beautiful, the park is nice and the hosts are welcoming. Everything is together for a lovely stay at this place.

Wild Dunes was even better than we expected. Clean, bright, airy with good size rooms and air conditioning in the main rooms. A beautiful garden, with a great pool, loungers and furniture plus outdoor games (petanque court, chess, darts, table tennis). 10-15 mins by bike to the local boulangerie and port. 1 hours walk to the lighthouse which was great with the dog. Clara and Pascal were lovely hosts. Always willing to help and make suggestions, without being obtrusive. While it was not an issue for us and only my opinion, the garden is great for adults and older children but not what I would call 'foolproof' for young children or 'excitable' dogs. Various steps, flagstone paths with pebbles and only a small grassy area offer some risk of accident. Having said that the pool was great, with good safety features and our dog had a great time communicating with the other dogs and there was plenty of room at the front and sides to sniff around. So maybe I'm over thinking it.

Thank you to Franck and his wife for their warm welcome. They are welcoming, charming and available. Thanks to them, my parents had a wonderful stay, they are delighted! We will not hesitate to come back and highly recommend these hosts and their accommodation.

A very beautiful, very well maintained, peaceful Airbnb and all amenities within walking distance, covered market 200 m away, Super U and the beach. I highly recommend it.

Great value for money! The accommodation is of impeccable quality, the layout is optimal, there is everything you need on site! The beach access 2 min away is a real luxury for an unbeatable price, and some charming villages to visit nearby. We ate at Bob's in St Palais, it was great, and we shared a board on the beach near the reserve. I would also like to point out that the co-host was great, simple, efficient and smiling, a very warm welcome (unlike the one we just had when we arrived in Biarritz...). The small garden is also quite nice, light in relation to the residence, but the residence is quiet and there is little traffic so it did not bother us. Thank you, we will come back to stay longer!

I am particularly satisfied with my stay in this very beautiful, well-equipped and decorated studio, 10 meters from the beach of Grande Conche, quiet, with a beautiful terrace and a parking space. Very nice environment and very welcoming and friendly neighbors. As for Alexandre, he is super responsive and very friendly. I'll go back next year, no question.

The house is very well located in Saint-Georges de Didonne. Easy to access with a pleasant neighborhood. Shops, restaurants and beach are within walking distance in just a few minutes. The accommodation is almost new, very well equipped and comfortable. Nothing is missing and in addition, it is well soundproofed. It felt good there. Nicola's hospitality and availability are to be honored: although absent, he did everything to make the arrival and stay go as well as possible, which was the case. charming little apartment tastefully decorated by Chantal. Nice view of the estuary and the cliffs of Suzac. Ideal location for walking to Royan on one side and the cliffs on the other. St Georges de Didonne city center within walking distance.

We enjoyed this accommodation, very clean, with all the services advertised. Very well located, a stone's throw from the beach and the beautiful sunsets. Christine is a lovely, responsive and accommodating host. I recommend it 100%!!!
