Bed and breakfast holiday rentals in Minnesota River

I loved my stay at 300 Clifton. It was really cool to get a tour of the historically restored mansion. My room was comfortable and spacious. Although it was a little warm, it cooled off throughout the night . Loved the Koi pond.

The stay at Liz & John’s Airbnb was incredible. The house was welcoming, and you feel at home immediately. They are great listeners and truly value Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. I have known Liz & John for many years as I used to have employees from out of state who have stayed with them regularly when on business trips. I recently went through some rough times and need a home to stay and found refuge at their humble and beautiful home. Liz and John are amazing hosts, and their breakfasts are prepared from the soul. They are like a family to me, and I am so grateful to them for making me feel so comfortable and welcomed. My stay happened to be over the thanksgiving holiday and was invited to join their family and friends for thanksgiving dinner. It was one of the best thanksgiving dinners I have ever had as Liz is a master chef. May God bless them both as they continue to help so many that needs a warm bed and welcoming home to stay. Wow. Just awesome. Easy check-in. Host gave short tour, noted extra amenities, add-on options, left wine to be enjoyed on porch in chiller for guests, extra water in hall fridge, etc. There is fruit, trail mix & coffee for a light breakfast. We stayed in the mansion & it was very quiet & relaxed, we felt as though we had it to ourselves. Wonderful details throughout the mansion. Gertrude’s Video Lounge was a highlight of our trip, where we had a private two-hour window & enjoyed popcorn, drinks, a movie & massaging theater chairs. The Georgian Room was spacious, clean & comfortable. The spa shower was lovely. The fireplace added extra ambiance. The bed & linens were very comfortable. Outside on the grounds, there were two great danes, cats, a duck and ducklings & koi fish in a pond. This location also acts as a Trolley Stop & you can pick up several very cool tours, if you like with ease. Not nearly enough characters to explain how much we enjoyed our time. We will stay here again.

I absolutely loved staying here, and I can't wait to go back! If you love historical sites like I do, you'll love this place. Check-in was easy, and the pictures were accurate. Staff were friendly and helpful. I had tickets to the Orpheum Theater, which was only a six minute drive away. I enjoyed the complimentary wine they set out in the evening. It was a great place for my birthday staycation. Check it out!

It was an absolute privilege to stay in such a beautiful and wonderfully restored historic home! The owners could not have been more attentive to every design and decorating detail! I enjoyed all the shared spaces throughout our visit and was inspired and refreshed by their capable and well-executed vision to blend the craftsmanship of the past with the comforts and luxury of the present. A self-service tea and coffee station made for a cozy, winter stay. Perks like the ability to stream music to your room were a treat. The breakfast parfaits were delicious! The luxurious terry-cloth robes were a treat to slip into after a soak in the claw foot tub or to throw over jammies for a quick jaunt to the kitchen to refresh a cup of tea. It was wonderful to be so close to so many enjoyable restaurants and coffee shops. I can’t imagine a better location in Mankato.

The yard was beautiful and well groomed. The room had everything we needed. We didn't take advantage of breakfast there but could smell the bacon in the morning. Yum. Beds were extremely comfortable. We loved all the little touches; eucalyptus theme, farm house theme items, cookbooks and books to read, etc

We had a lovely time staying here and the breakfast was delicious. We especially enjoyed learning more about the history of the house and area.

Loved our stay for me and my husband . Breakfast was yummy 😋 also they were very communicative. So clean and perfect loved it !

Monica was a very gracious host. She really took us in under her wing. She stocked the fridge for us and even got some gluten free bread when she realized that a member of our party was gluten intolerant. She went out of her way to help us feel welcome, comfortable, and at home. Her place was very clean and tidy. She even had boxes that we could put our toiletries in to keep them in the bathroom. She also had a fabulous garden. She said it wasn't as great as it usually is, but we thought it was lovely all the same. I would definitely stay with her again. She's a great lady and we were lucky to meet her and be hosted by her. Thanks!  

Great location -- near Walker Art Center, restaurants, parks. Charming, beautiful home. Comfortable bed. Communication was easy. We'd happily stay here again.

It was a nice place to stay. Room was big. Kitchen and bathrooms are shared.

Stayed there once last year two years ago, recognized the big house on the corner

I stayed here for 11 days in the jacuzzi suite and had a wonderful trip. The bed is comfortable and the bedroom is dark. The bathroom is well-appointed, there's a fridge, and there's lots of good seating. There's a small room/walk in closet that has a microwave and coffee machine; if you were traveling with small kids you could probably set them up a little sleeping area in there. One thing to note is that the AC unit is in the living room, not in the bedroom; there are fans to help direct the cold air into the bedroom. I sleep hot and was still comfortable, so this fan system worked for me. There's also a kitchen area downstairs where you can cook and store food. The host was very responsive with any questions I had during my stay. It's easy walking distance to Hamline University, and close to a cute cafe (Gingko's).

My boyfriend and I stayed a night in the hayloft and enjoyed everything the property and room had to offer. We especially loved the Koi pond and the beauty of the home, inside and out. We’ll definitely be staying again!
