Holiday rentals with a kayak in Minnesota River

The only complaint I have is the lake is very busy on the weekends and there is houses being built all around during week. It was very noisy during the week. At the same time I loved it so much I didn’t want to leave.

Rachel's lake house was absolutely lovely - spacious, gorgeous views from the second you walk in, comfortable beds, clean and inviting kitchen, and your own oasis just steps outside the back door. When my travel plans changed, she was so kind and responsive and made it potentially stressful situation seamless. I would 1000% stay here again!

Thank you for a charming and comfortable place to stay. We stayed for a month. Lots of fun places to go nearby. Great sunsets! Cute little place with everything we needed. Felt very homey, very quiet, nice lake location. Safe. Neighbors yards are really messy but that didn't bother us. Host was really nice.

It was a great place to stay! The living area was perfect for our group to hang out, talk, and play games together! The location was beautiful and the house had everything we needed for an excellent weekend together!

This place was the perfect getaway for a group of us! It was peaceful, refreshing, and the view of the lake every morning was breathtaking. The neighbors were closer than expected, but it didn't bother us that much. Would def stay again.

Weather didn’t quite work in our favor for boating, but the views and location are incredible! The house is comfortable and well appointed. Was a great gathering spot for our group. Would definitely stay again in the future!

This is an awesome getaway on the river, the house exceeds expectations and is amazing for hosting a large group! Even though the weather didn’t cooperate for our weekend, there are more than enough amenities for a cozy indoor experience and of course we enjoyed the hot tub! It’s a beautiful place and Brian was very helpful and quick to respond to communication. Would definitely recommend for those looking for a serene and luxurious retreat and gathering space!

The house was appropriately sized for our group of several adults and children. The weather cooperated so we were able to socialize on the patio and use the fire pit by the lake in the evening. The kids enjoyed paddle boarding and kayaking on the lake as well. Would definitely look to stay here again if the need to accommodate a good sized group comes up again. Thanks

We had a fantastic stay at the Lake Andrew cottages! Everything from the host meeting us at the door to walk through and give a step by step of the property, to enjoying a kayak ride at sunset, this place was one of the best! It was easy to communicate with the management for check in and I appreciated how welcome we felt. The cottage was very clean and had everything we could have possibly needed! The area is beautiful and we will definitely be back again in the future!

Beautiful older home on the lake. Tastefully decorated - lots of charming details. Really enjoyed the porch room facing the lake. Nice space to relax, read a book or have a drink!

We stayed for an extended Super Bowl/birthday weekend and had a great time. Super responsive to messages when there was a very small issue and checked in multiple times to make sure all was well. We would love to go back in summer. Very efficient space for a large group and the new hot tub was a hit with everyone in our party. Thank you!

We had a great time at Rayn's place and her and Wayne were there to greet us and show us around. I loved the fantastic view and I think her place is decorated in such a unique and eclectic way, always something fun to look at. Even before we got there she was giving us ideas on things to do for the weekend, and even more suggestions for places to eat/shop when we got there. And of course the kayaking was exactly what we were hoping to do. We felt right at home and have everything available to use to make it a great stay. I would definitely stay again.

we loved our stay here! the home was so cozy & felt like the perfect ‘home away from home’ for our long weekend! we loved how it was right on the water. we didn’t end up having great weather, so we didn’t get to take advantage of outdoor amenities, but loved that there was a fire pit, grill & outdoor seating overlooking the water :) beautiful space, views & lots of natural light! we enjoyed buffalo books & forget me not cafe in downtown buffalo which was about a 15 min drive!

Very cute interior; lots of extra supplies in case we forgot anything. Loved the bathroom!! Quiet; beds were comfortable & nice to have 2 TV’s as my husband & I have different tastes. The only tiny negative is the yard - not really any grassy area for our little dog, but she didn’t mind walking down the block.

We drove up for a long weekend. This location was far better than staying in a hotel, especially with the close proximity to the lake. Kayaking, fishing, evening firepit, s’mores… beautiful surroundings. The cottage was roomy enough for 6 adults. We have already decided to visit again when we can stay longer. Travis, the host, was very responsive and helpful with our questions about the area.

We LOVED absolutely LOVED our stay at Beth’s cabin. It is was clean, organized, and neat. It is nestled towards the end of the street- next to some very quiet neighbors- which I appreciated! It was very private and secluded! Everything worked- everything was nice and new and fresh! It honestly did feel right at home! The hot tub is AMAZING- clean, functioning, so fun for the kids and to relax. The view is priceless- The location is amazing- we heard loons, we saw a turtle nest her eggs, we had a heron walk on our dock. We had a wonderful lunch in Annandale (In Hot Water) Maple Lake (Spooky House Coffee) and Buffalo (Gather). Overall a great stay!

Our stay in Zimmerman was a wonderful break with our grandkids and kids. There is plenty of space, the location on the lake is fantastic and the amenities are great. Lots of bathroom items, kitchen was well stocked and the place had lots of extra blankets which was very much appreciated for early morning boat rides or sipping coffee on the deck.

Perfect location for our family to spend time. I brought my elderly father to spend time with my disabled sister and my niece who has a toddler. I also brought my teenage daughter. My father and sister spent time indoors or on the deck while my daughter fished and my great nephew played in the water next to the dock. My daughter and I kayaked each night at sunset. We did make a trip to the park with the toddler and played on the beach. Recommend bringing a small rake to clear the beach from the water plants that came up on the beach. Once cleared, it was perfect. Like others said, you definitely need 4-wheel drive. I was able to go up and down with no issues with my Honda Pilot in 4-wheel drive.

Warren was attentive and helpful. The cabin is quaint and comfortable. Very happy dogs were allowed without massive fees like many other places. Rustic is a good description as it has some updates but definitely in the older side but still very comfortable. I would definitely stay again.

Jenna was a wonderful host! The neighbors are extremely friendly. We cannot wait to return for another relaxing weekend. The lake is fantastic for fishing! We caught so many fish we lost track of the amount.

I could not have wished for a better place for my first visit to Minnesota. Immediately upon arriving, the cabin felt so welcoming. Luxurious but in a super comfortable way. I also loved the well equipped kitchen for cooking on nights in. The view of the lake was just so stunning.

Love the way this place is decorated! So cute! I love the wall art and table decorations. Watching birds on the lake and kayaking was so much fun! We had an absolutely beautiful time. Life jackets were provided along with paddles. This place was so beautiful with lots of natural sunlight. Fun hammock in the yard for reading. Such an excellent experience! Kitchen had all the essentials for washing dishes and cooking including seasonings. Pillows were comfortable with lots of extra blankets. We loved grilling steaks and putting together a fun jigsaw puzzle. Being able to do laundry for free was amazing too. We enjoyed watching a movie in a the bunkhouse and watching the sunrise. We went out farther on the lake in the kayak to watch the sunset and that was beautiful. Really really excellent place we are really looking forward to coming back.
