Beautiful historic coach house conversion: The site was a coaching inn, where travellers changed their horses and stayed overnight. The main bedroom wing of the coach house was built in 1580 and the sitting room wing in 1740. The building was restored in 2018, and mixes rustic charm with contemporary design. We're 30 minutes from Alton Towers, 20 minutes from Shugborough, 40 minutes from Sudbury Hall, with its museum of childhood, and only 20 minutes from the museums of the Potteries.

Fantastic house in a great neighbourhood. The house is modern with quality furniture and bedding. The kitchen is very well equipped, plus there's an extendable dining table and a seating area outside. It has a modern, fast internet connection, and one of the main bedrooms has a great desk. We were very comfortable here and the hosts were very responsive, friendly, and quickly answered any questions.

We had a great stay! The place was very clean, well-organised and had all the amenities we needed. The host communicated clearly and promptly and everything was ready for us when we arrived. The place was exactly as described, spacious living areas and bedrooms - perfect for our group of 7. Only one small suggestion would be to add mirrors in the bathrooms for extra convenience. Other than that, it was a perfect stay. Highly recommended and we’ll definitely be back! Huge thanks to the host :)

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The cottage was clean and comfortable. We really appreciated the bread milk and Prosecco left for us, and it was great that tea and coffee making facilities were all provided. The hot tub was a fantastic addition too. Communication was brilliant from Martin who replied within minutes. The only thing we struggled with was the driveway up to the cottage. It was incredibly tight, and where the neighbours had parked left us no room to turn around. We had to back the car down the driveway which took us about 15 minutes whilst trying not to scrape it against the walls either sides. We decided not to drive up again but there was no free parking outside the driveway unfortunately. But this was the only negative, everything else was perfect

This was our second stay in our return journey Devon to Northumberland. All was as great as our first stay. This is the perfect stopover for a long west side north / south journey. Really convenient for the M6 and a little oasis of calm after a long drive. Another gorgeous walk along the tow path. This time for a delicious pizza at Proven in Stone - together with a large welcome glass of wine and a limoncello for dessert !
