Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Monthou-sur-Cher

This is our second stay at Solange’s beautiful, peaceful and charming property, which is perfectly located for exploring the Loire Valley. This quintessentially French property was perfect for us in every way! The kind of property we normally pass and remark on as to how lovely it looks….and it’s just as perfect on the inside too. The bed is comfy. The lounge is interesting with its unique wood burning stove and the kitchen full of interesting crockery, plus all the essentials to cook a great meal including a new Smeg oven! The shower is fabulous and it’s always lovely to find that the host has supplied a good supply of towels, loo rolls etc too! The outdoor space is really pretty and a lovely place to sip a glass of local wine. There was even a small car port for soft top car to retreat under when we had a rain shower. Thank you for your hospitality Solange and we look forward to a return visit soon.

We had a very good stay with friends and our children. Christophe welcomed us and we toured the property together. Listing exactly matches the photos and description. 30 minutes from the zoo, we were able to enjoy the pool and the children were delighted! The house is in a peaceful and very well maintained place. Christophe was available if needed but everything necessary was already in place to have a good stay! I highly recommend it!

We had a wonderful stay with our two children. You can enjoy a large garden with delicious cherries and the place is ideal for discovering the Loire Valley (Zoo, hiking with a donkey, Loire castles, Blois, Amboise, etc.) In addition, the house was super tidy, clean and there was everything you need. We absolutely recommend it.

Perfect for a high in Tours in the center, everything you need is present in the accommodation. Smooth communication, easy check-in and even an early check-in was made possible, really great!

The cottage is pleasantly decorated , and soothing. Coming for a short stay join family nearby , we only "tested" the bedding (excellent) and the bathroom (superb and functional). If the Kitchen is well equipped with appliances, crockery and utensils, as far as we are concerned we only use the coffee maker and the refrigerator (the change of which is announced because it has run its time). Come back? no problem if the opportunity arises

Maggie and Cyril were great hosts. Cyril met us at the apartment and showed us around. The location is perfect for visiting central Tours, which is a lovely town. Parking was very easy and convenient. Highly recommended for a short stay.

Great authentic accommodation with a lot of charm, right in the middle of Blois.

Hello Marine We had a very comfortable stay in your beautiful apartment. The garden is pretty and kept us cool during the hot summer days. The apartment is located with easy access to the vibrant city centre of Tours with many fine restaurants and shops. Many thanks for helping us have a really enjoyable in France. Barry and Angie

This is a very nice place to stay. Comfortable bed plenty of hot water and towels. Nice outlook light and airy as you would expect from the photographs. Food shopping in the immediate area is extremely good. There is an excelent boulangerie 2 minutes walk and 3 minutes on to Les Halles which has everything you could possibly want food wise in abundance. The kitchen is very well equipped, one of the best I have found on frequent Airbnb visits. Parking is a bit of a neightmare. Underground parking at Les Halles E12.5 for 24 hrs. In the square just outside you can usually get a spot 2hrs max I think and handy once you have mastered the pay machiens.

We had a great week! The house is perfectly equipped , the air conditioning was very useful the first 2 days of our stay. We enjoyed the pool greatly. Beautiful English garden. The walks along the expensive river are very soothing.

Villa Verde is a spacious, comfortable and peaceful place. It is nestled in the middle of a huge wooded plot and very well maintained by the hosts, perfect for letting the children let off steam. We felt at home during this short stay. We highly recommend Carmen's house for a visit to the Beauval Zoo, for example, which is 20 minutes away

We did a bachelorette in this house and to start the house is just whaouuu... whether it's swimming pool, jacuzzi inside the house everything is well thought and very functional!! We were delighted and without regret of our choice because it completely matched our expectations... and finally the owners are very kind, welcoming and explains very well everything there is to know. Thanks for being so responsive and accommodating!! We highly recommend them, you won't be disappointed with your stay!!

We had a great time. The house is very welcoming and spacious for a family with 7 adults and 3 small children with a very nice large garden. The house is located in a very peaceful environment, allowing for superb visits (Cheverny, Chaumont sur Loire, Blois...) and also beautiful walks (banks of the Beuvron in the immediate surroundings, Beauregard...).

Beautiful home with great setup to spend time with friends and family. Plenty for kids to do and heated pool with cover makes swimming possible even if the weather isn’t perfect. The kitchen area is a bit tight if you’re planning to make meals for a large group. Due to the setting with farms nearby there were quite a few flies in the house if the windows were left open. Overall we loved the house and would rent again if we came back to the area. The host was responsive
