Antique furnishings perfectly complement the historic architecture. The house is on 3 floors so a fair bit of walking up and down stairs is required. The main bedroom is on the upper floor and the 2nd bedroom (two single beds) and bathroom on the lowest floor. Ideal for couples and families but not for the elderly or groups of 4 adults.

Charming turret of the 19th-century castle of Belgirate with lake view, a fantastic sunset from the panoramic terrace is assured and opposite you can admire the hermitage of Santa Caterina. The villa is rich in history, poets and writers have passed through, where they stayed, captivated by the beauty of the lake and Belgirate. A tragic fire destroyed part of the house in the early 1900s, and it was completely restored in the 1990s. In the immediate vicinity is Stresa and its islands.

In a few minutes' walk you can reach the Gureè beach or enjoy the swimming pool (seasonal and unheated) and basketball area on the property, which are available free of charge from 10 am to 6 pm. Villa Benè is the perfect starting point for exploring the area, which is full of charming places such as the Hermitage of Santa Caterina del Sasso and the Borromean Islands. You arrive by boat. No road, no car, no traffic — just a red cottage on the water in a village that time forgot, and the boat is yours for the whole stay (no licence needed). Two bedrooms, a fireplace, a covered terrace over the lake, and a garden of old trees with a wood-fired pizza oven and BBQ. Kayak and paddleboard included.
