Blissful nest for 2, Dales National Park, Cumbria

JennyRating, 5 stars4 days ago
Charlottes place is really unusual - both colourful and cosy at the same time. Lovely sofa, sumptuous bed, and space to stretch out - we found it really relaxing. The big bath is fab! We cooked a lot and found the kitchen well equipped. The view out onto the fells is expansive, and we enjoyed meeting red squirrels, seeing a hare most days and exploring local wild spaces. Would definitely stay again.

The Pines Treehouse @ Treetops Hideouts

VictoriaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Absolutely wonderful stay at Treetops. From the moment you shut the gate you feel like the stresses of the outside world have disappeared! Everything has been thought of and more! We loved watching movies on the giant screen, playing darts on the deck and eating tapas whilst watching the cows in the field through the tree canopy. Lisa and Martin are on hand if you have a queries or need anything but you wouldn’t know anyone was nearby as the whole place is so secluded and private! We loved the outdoor shower, what a treat and enjoyed the hot tub even in the rain! If you are unsure of wondering if it’s worth the money, DON’T hesitate you will never regret it! A truly special place and you can see the effort in every detail!

Luxury holiday cottage

HannahRating, 5 stars6 days ago
We had a wonderful stay at Rachel’s place from June 13th to 15th. There were 7 of us in total, and the accommodation was perfect for our group. The whole place was neat, tidy, and very well kept. Each room having its own en-suite bathroom was a huge bonus—it made things so much easier for a larger group. Rachel was a great host and we really appreciated the lovely welcome basket on arrival—it was a thoughtful touch that made us feel right at home. The house had everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Rachel was very quick to respond when we messaged her and got the hot tub ready for us on our arrival day and when we returned to the cottage after a long day out on the Saturday Would definitely recommend Rachel’s place to anyone looking for a clean, spacious, and well-equipped stay!

The Meadow Cottage at Scalebeck

CrispinRating, 5 stars11 months ago
Lovely and peaceful setting down narrow country lanes, yet convenient for Appleby and the M6. The Lake District is about a half hour drive away but the Westmoreland Dales are stunning anyway. The friendly village pub serves good food and beer at modest prices. The cottage is very well equipped with a big bedroom and a fabulous shower in the adjacent bathroom. Only slight downside is that, being downstairs, the bedroom gets cold in less clement weather. However, there is central heating and a fan heater can be borrowed if really necessary. Kay went out of her way to ensure everything was fine for us.

Stunning views nr Lake District, spacious & snug

SarahRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
What an absolutely stunning location! We wanted a relaxing break and this is exactly what we got. Vicki and Tom have created something really special. The Hayloft is small yet had everything we needed for a family of 5. There were plenty of books and games to enjoy. Vicki greeted us at the door, making us feel welcome and had left us some homemade treats. The kids had a blast, exploring the grounds, playing on the trampoline and climbing the nearby hill to catch a glimpse of the fighter jets flying overhead. There was a lovely walk to the river and you can roam freely over the fields. We enjoyed watching the sheep and horses roam and also saw deer, rabbits, frogs and kestrels. The house has a view of the Settle-Carlisle railway so we enjoyed a bit of train spotting too. There was so much to soak up before we even thought about heading out. The nearby town of Kirkby Stephen had plenty of shops and we enjoyed a meal from The Mango Tree Indian. We would 100% recommend a stay here!
