We discovered our cottage in the beautiful Westerwald by chance in 2019 – and immediately fell in love. Between March 2020 and August 2021, we transformed it with a lot of passion and attention to detail into a place where you can relax and recharge your batteries. For me – Janine, a trained hotel manager – it is particularly important to bring people closer to the small and large beauties of life: through time for themselves, with the family or simply in nature. Whether alone, as a couple or with children: our cottage invites you to switch off, feel, pause. A place to find yourself (again) – and to celebrate life.

Cozy half-timbered house at the edge of the forest

Time out from everyday life in our historic accommodation. Idyllic secluded location on the edge of the forest. A car is needed as there is no connection to public transport. Wiehl center is about 3 km away with various shops, bakeries and restaurants. Heating is provided by radiators connected to our heat pump, which is powered by green electricity. In winter, a fireplace provides a cozy atmosphere. Modern Internet connection, TV via satellite system. Sparkling water maker available

Vacation home (LebensArt in the small chapel)

Das liebevoll umgebaute Ferienhaus in einer ehemaligen Kapelle bietet auf 150 m² Platz für bis zu 10 Personen. Fünf individuell gestaltete Schlafzimmer – drei mit Doppelbetten, zwei mit Etagenbetten – sowie drei moderne Bäder, teilweise mit Regendusche, sorgen für Komfort. Fußbodenheizung in allen Räumen, ein großzügiger Wohn- und Essbereich mit Pelletofen, 77-Zoll-Smart-TV und großer Tafel, eine voll ausgestattete Küche, drei Parkplätze und eine E-Ladesäule runden das Angebot ab.

The vacation home is about 90 square meters and can accommodate 2-6 people, spread over 3 bedrooms. On the first floor is the modern furnished living-dining room with open kitchen, a pellet fireplace, a bedroom and the shower room. The kitchen offers all amenities with a dishwasher, oven, coffee maker and toaster. On the upper floor, there is a large bedroom with panoramic windows and an extra sofa bed. The 2 single beds in the anteroom can be built together to form a 160 bed

Apartment Broche, vacation from everyday life

Cozy apartment since September 2017 in a very quietly located former farmhouse on the edge of the forest. If you are looking for hustle and bustle, you will not find it here. However, if you want to switch off and are looking for relaxation, you have come to the right place. Certified by the DTV with 3 stars. If desired, the refrigerator (for a fee) can be filled. In the garden there is a spacious garden house, which we also make available to our guests by arrangement.

House in a rural area

The place offers plenty of room for the whole family. Located directly on the Rothaarsteig, you can make wonderful excursions on foot or by bike. If you want to go for a short walk in the evening, the nearby Tretbecken invites you to linger. The house, located on the outskirts of Hilchenbach-Grund, is surrounded by meadows and forests. In the immediate vicinity is a small horse stable. There is a ski slope and a toboggan run in the neighboring village.

The former inn offers plenty of space in a quiet neighborhood. It has a large kitchen, a cozy living-dining area, a 100 m² hall, 5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and 2 guest toilets. In the garden you can sit and barbecue in the countryside (also covered). Located on the edge of the Burgwald, on the German Fairy Tale Route, it is an ideal starting point for hiking, cycling or excursions by car to e.g. Marburg (14 km), Winterberg (47 km) or Edersee (57 km).

The historic site of the former Reichensteinerberg iron ore mine invites you to a very special stay. A time-out for your soul. Enjoy the idyll on a sunny clearing in the middle of the forest and pleasant days of regeneration and deceleration. A special highlight: our 12 alpacas (400 m) and our whiskey tent (50 m) from your accommodation.

Here you can stay in a small detached house with 1000 sqm fenced property and distant views over the Ober-Bergisches Land. The cottage is furnished in vintage style and has a fireplace in addition to electric heating. A kitchen newly built in 2022 with fridge, dishwasher, induction, oven, and everything else you might need, outdoor grill, covered terrace. Towels and bowls are available for dogs. Hiking from the house is possible for hours.

Wir vermieten ein wunderschönes, gemütliches Ferienhaus. Das Ferienhaus steht auf dem Gelände der ehemaligen Grube Maria direkt am Waldrand. Etwas Abseits des Hauptgebäudes. Durch die hochwertige Ausstattung und einigen Extras wie Infrarotkabine, Holzofen, Sauna auf der Terrasse mit Aussendusche, großer Terrasse mit Blick in den Wald u.v.m. ist unser Ferienhaus der Ideale Ort zur Erholung und Entspannung.

Westerwald time out

"Time out" is the motto here and stands for a few relaxing days in our cozy wooden hut on the edge of the Holzbach Gorge, in the "Fohlenwiese vacation village." The surroundings offer hiking trails (directly on the Westerwaldsteig) as well as swimming lakes and vast forests that can be explored by bike... For absolute relaxation, we offer an infrared heat cabin for two people.
