Cabin holiday rentals in New Germany Lake

We had a great stay in Jessop’s cabin! We had two families of 3 staying together. The cabin was spacious and suited our families well. We did a lot of cooking and had what we needed in the kitchen. The location was peaceful yet was within 30 minutes of Ohiopyle. We definitely took advantage of the addition/game room for family game night!

My parents and I very much enjoyed our stay at the cabin over Father’s Day weekend. Our stay was peaceful and provided us the break we needed. Everything had been thoughtfully prepared - from the EV charger (A huge plus! The adapter to the Tesla was provided) to the well-stocked kitchen and spacious beds. We appreciated having all we needed to build a fire, grill, and enjoy meals both indoors and out. It was very easy to communicate with Lindsey. We would absolutely return!

If you want seclusion, this is the place for you. Very quiet, seen deer in the back yard two days in a row. The master bed is extremely comfortable. Does have stone driveway, and if you want any groceries stop on the way. Wifi worked great. Overall great place to stay!

Mary’s place was the perfect get away. Everything was there for you and if you still wanted to use your phone she provided WiFi. TV worked great no issues there. Ponds and yard were beautiful. Nice big hot tub Plenty of room for a family of 6 and there’s even a bathroom and an extra shower up in the loft bedroom area. Nice information in her book and it was fun reading other guests experiences. Mary was very accommodating and accepted us as first timers Airbnb. Would definitely stay again if we come back this way.

Great stay at Jameson’s cabin- nice cabin, worked very nicely for a family weekend getaway. It rained for most of the weekend, but the main living space is very nice, we still had a little time outside and in the hot tub. The loft is a fun sleeping arrangement too. When we arrived, we found a bed that was unmade- I sent photos to Neil, he immediately called, apologized, and had cleaning people sent over (at the cabin within 15 minutes). (they changed cleaners and something got lost in communication), the response was handled very well- they cleaned the whole place. We understand things are going come up over time, and want to highlight how well the response was / how well the situation handled. Overall it was great stay, great cabin, would recommend again

Cute little house just a short drive to Seven Springs resort. Host was very helpful during our stay. Wifi was spotty at times, but not surprising with how densely forested the area is. We hope to return within the next couple years when we travel through there, again.

We had a great weekend! The cabin had a lot of rustic charm and the setting was beautiful! Everything was very clean and well-stocked. The beds were really comfy, and the wood burning fireplace was nice and cozy. Lots to do in the area. Overall, a great weekend escape!

Abrams Creek is a great place for a quiet, private, beautiful rustic cabin camping experience. The grounds were fantastic, from the moment you pass the check-in you are immediately in the woods. At the cabin itself you feel like you are alone in the woods next to a peaceful stream. The cabin was comfortable and plenty warm with the propane heating, and having a dedicated port-a-potty right next to our site made bio-breaks much more convenient than if you had to walk to a central bathhouse. Highly recommend Abrams Creek!

This stay was my first experience using AirBnB. Amy is a wonderful and most helpful host. The property is amazing. There are a lot of trails around the mountain to explore and the pond is beautiful. Every morning and evening, I would see at least 15 to 20 deer while walking the dog and the only sounds around, were the birds. Thank you Amy, I will definitely be back the next time I visit West Virginia.

We loved our stay! It was cozy, intimate,and sparkling clean! The only thing I would have enjoyed was a private fire pit on the porch.

Had a great weekend at the cabin. The location is off the grid and the surroundings are simply amazing. The cabin is neat and modern and super comfortable. Alex was responsive and the check in and check out were simple. If you need to get a way from it all but would still like some creature comforts, then this is the ideal location. 100 percent recommended.

This was a beautiful and peaceful place to stay. Gorgeous view overlooking the river! The place was well decorated and we loved listening to the rain on the skylights in the living room. The neighbors were a little closer than expected, but wasn’t really an issue. Power went out one night (area outage), and Alison was responsive and proactive to provide a location of various lamps and lights. We were already using the grill on the incredibly back deck, so we weren’t really inconvenienced by it. I do appreciate the host keeping us updated on power outage.

We had stayed at the cabin for the first time several months earlier in early Dec '24 during a cold snap. This time (May, 2025) we were camping for several nights in nearby (15-20 mins away) New Germany State Park. The forecast for our last night camping was for rain ... lasting through our final morning. No one wants to pack up a wet tent before going home so we decided to skip our last night at the campground, pack up the tent while it was dry during the day before, and look into finding a place to stay for our last night. The cabin was available so we reserved it for one night and Nancy allowed us some extra time in the morning to enjoy the cabin and grounds. The cabin was just as it was on our first visit (minus the December snow!) with a home-like feel. Nancy was very accommodating for our spur-of-the-moment booking.

I chose Wanda’s place as an anniversary/birthday getaway for my son and daughter-in-law. It looked like a great spot for celebrating the two of them. It turned out to be the perfect place for them. My son was impressed with the cleanliness and how spacious the house was. He mentioned that everything looked newly remodeled. They enjoyed the sun porch and watching deer in the wooded lot next to the house. My husband and I would love to book again for the two of us!

Emily was a wonderful host and WOW… I was planning to fly fish on a handful of the Gold Star rivers/creeks nearby BUT i spent my 3 days (ALL DAY) fly fishing on the heavenly Casselman River stretch adjacent to the property up stream to the Rt 68 bridge. There simply wasn’t any reason to leave the Grantsville enclave around the house. It woulda been nice if Cornucopia had been open but the kitchen and gas grill allowed for steak and eggs in the mornings and I just don’t want to leave. I spend so much time wading that peaceful soothing stretch of the river that I was sore and was a little sluggish on checkout day. I didn’t want to leave. The bed was VERY comfortable and I’ll be returning. YES I caught PLENTY of rainbow trout and a few little Brookies. Hesitant to write that because I’d rather this be a secret haha. 5.00 all the way !! Thanks Emily.

We came to the area to visit Wolf Den State Park. We had a great time! Everything is as pictured and the creek was beautiful. We didn't have cell reception which was perfect for us! The only down fall is that it's not closer to home! We will definitely be keeping this place in mind if were ever in the area again!

Fantastic weekend getaway for two + our new puppy. Would recommend this cabin to anyone looking to stay near Deep Creek with furry friend(s)!

We LOVED it here!! It was so peaceful and private even though there is a cabin next door! The cabin had such a “home” feeling, and was comfortable. Everything was so clean and well taken care of! We can’t wait to go back!

Loved staying at Michelle and Tony’s cabin! A great rural getaway with all the amenities of and modern conveniences one could hope for. Spectacular views, quiet/private location. Great yard in which to roam and play. The cabin itself is super-clean, comfy bedding and linens. Plenty of A/C (or windows if you choose). Fast wifi, plentiful hot water (and clean - no sulfur odor is always a plus!), multiple smart tvs if you want. Well-stocked, modern kitchen including filtered ice/water dispenser in fridge - no need to haul jugs from the store. 2-in-1 coffee maker incl coffee and all the fixins. Personal touches abound. Fun stuff outside, incl yard games. These are very thoughtful hosts who are friendly and responsive, they provide a great guidebook which includes lots of recommendations for area eateries. (Definitely recommend a visit to Screech Owl.) Would totally recommend this stay!
