Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Newcastle-under-Lyme

We have just returned from a week in Dalemore Cottage and could not have wished for more. The cottage itself is set in the most glorious location and the inside is just as good. Comfy bed, well equipped kitchen and beautifully furnished. Pru and Chris were the most welcoming of hosts and Pru’s home cooked meal service was excellent, I even asked for some of the recipes. If you are looking for a quiet spot, in a fabulous location with excellent hosts this is the place for you.

Excellent communication, great instructions on how to find and access. Spotless accommodation with good dog walks close by. Loved all the finishing touches and extras for humans and dogs alike.

Having 2 loos was really useful, as the stairs can be tricky. We went pet free on this occasion, but will be back with them next time.

The cottage was beautifully and tastefully decorated and equipped with modern kitchenware and thoughtful touches. Lucy was very flexible regarding our early arrival time and talked us through our concerns about the hilly nature of the walk down to the river. Our neighbours and everyone in the village was friendly with tea rooms and pubs and shops all within walking distance. The 10 minute drive to Bakewell and larger supermarkets was easy. Parking was not always easy but we usually found a space and if not, found the Car Park available about 5 mins walk away for a suggested contribution. June 21-28 was Well Dressing week - same time of year every year - and we wish we had been aware of this when we booked. We loved our trips to nearby Eyam, Edale, Haddon Hall, Bakewell, Buxton and Matlock. A thoroughly enjoyable stay.

We booked Frog Manor to celebrate a 50th birthday and it was perfect. There was nothing we needed that wasn’t catered for. Richard was friendly, helpful and responsive. The property was clean and the grounds were well cared for. Loved the resident ducks and squirrels and even made friends with the gardener’s dog Hattie. The food at the local pub was lovely. Would recommend.

What a lovely cottage! The views were spectacular! My daughters and I took many pictures of the countryside and of the adorable sheep grazing nearby. The cottage was perfect for resting up and refreshing between our trips to the Chatsworth House and Gardens. Pigeon Loft Cottage was just as described, a very cute and cosy home away from home. The cottage was very easy to find following Susie’s directions and there is ample parking at the property as well as around the area. The check in was delayed by an hour or so due to us booking an extra night but Susie was extremely apologetic and did her best to get the cottage ready as quick as she could and allowed us to leave our shopping in the fridge during. Although she was trying to get it ready quickly, the cottage was still very clean and tidy when we did check in. The rest of the trip was perfect and we really enjoyed our stay :)

Beautiful location no problems everything you need loved our stay

Beautiful caravan in a stunning location Ashbourne heights caravan park is lovely, very well maintained. Spotlessly clean throughout, comfortable and cosy, decking with chairs is a great addition especially with the weather we had. Walking from the door step, we did Thor’s cave circular and stepping stones, tissington trail is just off the site entrance so no need to drive anywhere. Honestly one of the best family weekends we have had will be booking again in the future ❤️

Beautiful cottage set in wonderful grounds with a playhouse for the little ones. The pool was great too. Such a great place to stay, and under 10 minutes from Ashbourne. Around 30 mins to kid friendly hiking/walking in the Dales. Highly recommend.

Gillon and Merete were amazing hosts. The place is beautiful and in such a stunning setting. My favourite moment was going out for an early evening swim - so tranquil. The pool was lovely and warm. Would definitely recommend a stay here.

We had a wonderful weekend here. Beautiful cottage in a gorgeous, tranquil setting with superb hosts, very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. They had thought of everything from a welcome bottle of wine and sweet treats to robes, sliders and even treats for the dog! Comfortable beds, well-equipped kitchen, lovely pool and hot tub. We will definitely return. If you’re looking for rest and relaxation in quiet and peaceful surroundings this is the place for you.

The snug little pods are a perfect place to stay, overlooking open dales with sheep and cows, ducks swimming on pond right outside. Michiala could not have been more welcoming and helpful. we had all the peace and quiet we needed but she was always ready to assist as soon as we needed anything. Her cats and dogs were as friendly as Michaela herself. our neighbours in the other pod were super friendly too ..but with two bathrooms and a perfectly equipped little kitchen between us it never felt crowded. we loved being able to bring our own bedding because we don't like thick duvets, this meant we slept really well and felt absolutely at home.

We had a wonderful stay at The Shippen. The property was perfectly located for a peaceful few days away from busy life but had amenities close by. We had access to the great pool and a private hot tub that the kids loved. I would definitely recommend The Shippen for families looking for a getaway that has lovely surroundings and accommodation that has everything you need, including games and activities for entertainment. Thank you Sara and Phil for having us, we loved our stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Annabel’s and will definitely be going back asap! It was perfectly peaceful with gorgeous surroundings and was even better than the pictures! The pool was much bigger than we thought and was such a joy to have, the decking area was huge with stunning views and the garden truly magical! This was great value for money! Annabel was a fantastic host and very helpful and friendly and the animals were all very friendly too! The cats didn’t come to close though as we had our dog, who had a dream just roaming free! Thanks Annabel, be back soon !

Stoney Moat is a fantastic property, great location, really peaceful spotlessly clean with beautiful bed linen and a lovely private garden. We would definitely return !

Ingles Nook was a great location for my 4 month stay in Stoke. Comfortable ,clean and with all the amenities required to live very comfortably. Ingrid is a great host, very helpful and always available if needed. Highly recommend a stay at Ingles Nook

I stayed two months at Sean's place and it was lovely! I felt at home and enjoyed it. The bed was very comfortable and the place had great hot water! Sean was very friendly and was able to supply a freezer including an ice tray for my lengthy stay. Thank you!

First time I’ve used Airbnb and am I glad to stay we were fortunate enough to stay at Katie’s cottage! It was exactly as described, 100% accurate in terms of the pictures and the host (Katie) herself was a genuine, amazing soul! Not many things are perfect, however this was as close to perfect if it’s what you’re looking for! Loved it!

A beautifully renovated property with plenty of space, in a beautiful location. Louise, the host, was away during our stay, but responded very quickly to any questions we had. Would absolutely stay here again!

Second time of staying in this lovely cottage. The perfect weather allowed us to fully enjoy the brilliant garden. A short stroll into Hartington village and superb walks from the doorstep. We’ll be back!

This is our 4th stay at Arlene's lovely home. We love coming staying here its like home from home for us. We are having some renovations done on our home so we didnt hesitate to stay here for a few days Cannot recommend this place enough. Just got back from a few days at The Gatehouse (or Fred's Shed). It was a wonderful place made so much more so by John and Pam. I arrived and was greeted by John who showed me round, imparted a huge amount of really helpful local knowledge and assured me that help was just a door knock away if needed. Pam had left a mountain of goodies to ensure I didn't go hungry, catering for my four legged friend as well. We were out walking the hills every day and this was a lovely bolthole to return to. being a stone cottage it remains cool even when temperatures outside rocket. John recommended a variety of local walks, pubs, and tea rooms. We tried the one in the village and had a wonderful meal. Sure The Gatehouse is not a mansion, but the use of space is mind-blowing, so there really is everything we needed. The setting is so peaceful and rural, walks straight from the doorstep, it's worth giving the car a break. John was so helpful, friendly and easy going. Would I return... absolutely!

My wife and I stayed at Tilly lodge for our 'mini-moon'. What can I say, the lodge was incredible. Everything about our stay was of the highest quality. You can tell home much thought and consideration to guests is given by Sam. Lots of little touches to make our stay unique and memorable. We opted to include a luxury package which made our stay even more special. On arrival we had lovely decorations as well as prosecco and a freshly baked cake waiting for us. The hot tub was so relaxing and the beautiful countryside was so peaceful. We would highly recommend Tilly Lodge and look forward to returning!
